Spotted: Lorac, Urban Decay, NYX, Philosophy & More At Nordstorm Rack

Hey everyone! First off, I just wanted you wish you guys a Happy Easter. I hope you guys are all having a great day! Yesterday, I had some free time to myself and wanted to go check out Nordstorm Rack. Its been such a long time since I've shopped there and I knew that they were going to start carrying makeup sets that were released during the Holidays 2012 and boy, was I right! They had tons of makeup and even reorganized the store. They decided to move all the makeup near the cashiers. I guess people kept opening up products and stealing so they decided that it was better to move it closer to the employees. I do get a bit pissed when someone steals something from a set, especially if its the last set in stock. It happened to me twice, first with the Nars set (someone stole the blush from the set) and second with the Anastasia holiday palette (someone stole the brow gel from the set). Hopefully this new move will stop people from taking things. Anyways, while I was there, I spotted so many makeup sets from so many brands! If you live near a Nordstorm Rack (and are a makeup lover), I highly suggest you go check it out!

My Nordstorm Rack had a couple of the Lorac Eye Candy Full Face Collection sets. I think I arrived a bit late since there was three left and one of them was already opened. If you remember, these came out during the Holidays 2012. It was a Sephora exclusive and retailed for $59.00 plus tax when it first came out. Its crazy because now people are selling this on Amazon and eBay for like $100 and more. If you have been wanting this set, I highly suggest you go to Nordstorm Rack because its only $27.97 plus tax!!!! Better hurry because I see these going fast!
If you weren't interested in the Sephora exclusive, you might be interested in the Ulta exclusive instead! These are also at Nordstorm Rack. These come with four palettes instead. There are 2 eyeshadow palettes, one gel/cream liner palette, and a lip palette. When this first came out during the Holidays, it was $49.00 plus tax but now its only $17.97 plus tax at Nordstorm Rack!!

There was also other Lorac goodies as well. There were lipglosses, mascaras, and bronzers! If you love Lorac and/or have been wanting to try out Lorac products but don't want to pay full price, this is definitely the way to go! Most of the sets here were just realized during the Holidays so if you wanted them when they first came out, now is definitely the time. Besides Lorac, there is also a ton of NYX makeup. Most of them were the usual products (from their core collection) but I did spot something new, which is the NYX Spring Fling palette. It comes with eyeshadows, blushes, and lip products for only $14.97 plus tax. I did spot some Too Faced products as well but there wasn't that many. One set that did catch my eyes was the Too Faced Color Confections palette. It was originally $29.00 but now its only $11.97 plus tax.
There was also a bunch of Urban Decay products. If you are a fan of their primer potion and their setting spray, this is definitely a great time for you to stock up. They had full size of the original primer potion (old packaging) and their mini size setting sprays. There was also a couple of palettes as well. Plus a couple of Stila sets on sale too.

One other brand that surprised me when I first saw them was Butter London! There was two sets from Butter London that included a nail polish and a lip gloss. Both sets were originally $19.00 but are now $11.97 plus tax. There were also nail polish remover sets as well for only $8.97 each and lip gloss sets for $14.97 plus tax. Another high brand that I was happy to see was Philosophy! There were a couple of Philosophy sets but I only managed to take a picture of one of their sets, which was only $59.97 plus tax!

If you are a fan of any of these products and have been wanting to get them, I highly suggest checking out your Nordstorm Rack! I actually might go back since I have been regretting not buying the Lorac Eye Candy Full Face set. Its just so pretty and so hard to pass up! What do you guys think?

Haul: eBay Jewelry

Hey everyone! I have been meaning to put up these posts for a while now. Recently I became addicted to buying jewelry from eBay because I had gotten two Visa gift cards from rebates. I never bought anything from eBay before but have always wanted to, especially those J. Crew inspired bubble necklaces since they are cheaper on eBay. The only thing that stopped me from buying before was because of the shipping time and the fact that I was afraid of getting ripped off. I decided to take the plunge anyways and bought a couple of pieces that I have really been liking. Plus I do have to admit, I did become a bit more addicted to the whole bidding thing. LOL It does suck losing some items but it feels so good when you win an item that you bid for.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Vintage Rhinestone Deer Head Bracelet ($2.86)
I thought that this was so cute when I saw pictures of it online. Plus I had never seen anything quite like it in stores. I love how there are four chains on each side of the deer and they all connect with a clasp so you can adjust the size. I do have to admit, it is a bit hard to put on by yourself. I always need an extra hand whenever I want to wear this bracelet. I really like how detailed the deer head is because of the rhinestones and the ears and antlers popping out.

Pearl Ball Stretch Bracelet ($1.50)
I love this bracelet! Its just so cute and girly. I love the pearls and then in the middle of the bracelet is a dainty little ball of smaller pearls and metal balls all together. I just love wearing the bracelet when I go somewhere fancy. Plus because its a stretch bracelet, its fits my wrist perfectly. This is a bracelet that I can definitely see Forever21 or any of the mall clothing stores selling at their stores but I paid less for it because I bought it from eBay.

Spike Rivets Elastic Stretch Bracelets, pair of 3 ($3.32)
This was actually the first item that I had ever bought on eBay and started my addiction! I remember when these were so in trend and popular. Everybody was wearing these and I wanted some for myself too. Haha! I just love how funky these looked. This came with three pairs, which I thought that was a great deal. It came with a black-silver, bronze, and a silver spike bracelet. I was a bit disappointed that mines didn't come with a gold because in the seller's picture, one of them was a gold. When I received the bracelets, I went back and read the description and it said bronze instead of gold so I was a bit peeved off about that. When you order, always make sure to read the descriptions. Don't always rely on the pictures because they can be a bit deceiving.

Gold Spike Chain Bracelet ($1.50)
I bought this also because of the whole spike bracelet trend. You can adjust the length of this bracelet because of the long chain that it comes with. It closes with a clasp so you can close it on any of the chains. I really like this bracelet because its different from the other spike bracelets that I bought. These spikes point down (towards the ground, so to say) instead of pointing outwards like the others. Plus the edges aren't at a point. These are more rounded so if I accidently poke someone with these, they won't get hurt. LOL

Faceted Black Resin Stone Elastic Bracelet ($0.85)
I really like this bracelet. I do admit that it does look a bit cheap close-up but at a distance, you can't really tell. It is a stretch bracelet so you can see the elastic strings in between each stone, which is fine because I know that Forever21 has a couple of pieces like that as well Overall, I really like this bracelet and love wearing with my black outfits because of the gold surrounding each black stone.

Oval Shape Tibet Silver Turquoise Bracelet ($2.28)
I have to say that when I saw this bracelet online, I fell in love with it. When I saw it in person, it wasn't my favorite. The way that it was made is bad quality. It doesn't fit nicely on my wrists and is a bit crooked. Plus I hate how the closure is behind the big turquoise stone since that is probably why its crooked. It just doesn't fit right on my wrist and I don't like it at all. If I could return this, I would.

Black Geometric Figure Triangle Necklace ($2.39)
This was probably my second or third piece that I bought! I remember seeing Tiffany D wear a similar one in her OOTD pictures and have been wanting one but I didn't want to pay a butt load of money for it so I searched for a similar one on eBay. I was really surprised when I saw this because it looks identical to the expensive one that she wears. I can't remember where she bought hers from, maybe J. Crew but I am not sure. I love wearing this with my black shirts and pairing this outfit with other gold pieces. The only bad thing that I do have to say about this is because the pieces are lightweight, sometimes the black geometric figures tend to flip over when I am wearing it, which is a hassle. Other than that, I still love the necklace. i just wish that some of the pieces wouldn't flip over.

Gold Spike Bubble Necklace ($1.50)
To be honest, with this necklace, I don't think I have even worn it once. It looked gorgeous in the pictures but in person, up close it just looks cheap. The whole overall finish of it looks cheap. Plus I hate how there are some black spots on the necklace when I got it. I don't know its because its starting to rust or what. Other than that, I think I should at least try to wear it. I think it would look nice with a simple black dress or a black tank. What do you guys think?

So those are all the items that I bought from eBay within the past months. I am thinking of ordering some more within the next couple of weeks since there are some cute jewelry on there. I might even consider ordering some makeup storage containers there too like some acrylic lipstick holders. What do you guys think of these pieces? I just have to say that if you have never ordered from eBay before, you have to know that it does take a bit for shipping since most of the pieces are from China. For me, it took about 2 weeks to a month for each piece since I ordered them from different sellers and at different times. Even though it took a while for them to arrive in the mail, it was fine with me because I got free shipping with each item. Overall, I can't wait to order some more stuff! Also, if you would like to know the sellers of some of these pieces, definitely let me know.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever ordered from eBay before?
What do you think about the pieces that I ordered?

EOTD: Soft Pinks & Purples

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you guys my eye look that I featured in a recent FOTD post, titled FOTD: Soft Pinks & Purples. If you haven't seen that look yet, you can CLICK HERE. I thought this eye look is a great look because its easily wearable and easy to recreate. Plus you can wear his everyday and even to work.

EYE PRODUCTS USED:
◊ LORAC Behind The Scenes Eye Primer
◊ BENEFIT Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner "R.S.V.P"
◊ LORAC Eyeshadow "Nude"
◊ TARTE Eyeshadow "Pebble Beach"
◊ TARTE Eyeshadow "Napa Grapes"
◊ LORAC Eyeshadow "Cream"
◊ ULTA Kohl Eye Pencil "Halo"
◊ MARY KAY Ultimate Mascara "Black"
◊ MAYBELLINE The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara "Black Drama"
◊ ELF STUDIO Eyebrow Kit "Dark"
◊ ELF Eye Shadow Brush
◊ ECOTOOLS Small Blending Brush
◊ LONDON SOHO Blending Brush
◊ REVLON Lash Curler

Steps to recreate this eye look:
  1. To prime my eyes, I applied one of my favorite primers, which is the LORAC Behind The Scenes Eye Primer.
  2. Once I blended the primer into my lids, I applied BENEFIT Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner "R.S.V.P" because its a gorgeous pink shimmery champagne shade.
  3. For the inner corner of my lids, I used my ELF Eyeshadow Brush to apply LORAC Eyeshadow "Nude" and TARTE Eyeshadow "Pebble Beach" onto the middle of my lids.
  4. I like to apply my crease color before putting shadow onto my outer corner, so I grabbed my ECOTOOLS Small Blending Brush and tapped it in TARTE Eyeshadow "Napa Grapes" and once that was blended, I used the same brush and shadow and applied the shade deeper into the outer corner of my lids.
  5. Since I wanted my eyes to have that brighten eye look, I used my ULTA Kohl Eye Pencil "Halo" for the inner corners of my lids and blended a bit.
  6. For my mascara, I used my MARY KAY Ultimate Mascara "Black" and used MAYBELLINE The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara "Black Drama" on my lower lashes. I then curled my upper lashes with my REVLON Lash Curler.
So thats all that I did for my eye look! What do you guys think? Its pretty easy, yes? Also let me know if you would like to see more eye looks like these and I will post up some more.

FOTD: Soft Pinks & Purples

Hey everyone! If you didn't know already, I recently created a eye look using bold pinks and purple shades. If you haven't seen that face of the day, you can CLICK HERE. I know that that eye look was a bit bold and not everyone likes to wear bold eye looks, whether its because they don't feel comfortable or because its not suitable for their workplace so I decided to come up with a softer version of that eye look!! I think that this eye look is great for every occasion and great for everyday. Plus it incorporates both pinks and purples for those who love those two colors!

FACE PRODUCTS USED:
◊ MAYBELLINE Dream Mousse Concealer "Light"
◊ ALMAY Clear Complexion Foundation "600 Sand"
◊ L'OREAL True Match Lumi Foundation "Warm W4"
◊ MAYBELLINE Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer "Buff"
◊ ALMAY Clear Complexion Concealer + Treatment Gel "200 Light/Medium"
◊ REVLON Nearly Naked Pressed Powder "Fair"
◊ PHYSICIANS FORMULA Healthy Wear Bronzer "Tan"
◊ TARTE Amazonian Clay 12HR Blush "Fantastic"
◊ RIMMEL Lasting Finish Blush + Highlighter "006 Autumn Catwalk"
◊ PHILOSOPHY Shimmering Face Powder "Amazing Grace"
◊ ELF STUDIO Powder Brush
◊ REAL TECHNIQUES Powder Brush
◊ REAL TECHNIQUES Contour Brush
◊ REAL TECHNIQUES Pointed Foundation Brush

Steps to recreate this look:
  1. For my under-eye areas. I applied MAYBELLINE Dream Mousse Concealer "Light" to give my eyes that brighten eye look.
  2. After I blended the concealer in, I applied my ALMAY Clear Complexion Foundation "600 Sand" with my L'OREAL True Match Lumi Foundation "Warm W4" with my ELF STUDIO Powder brush. I love how both these two foundations look together on my face!
  3. Because I wanted my eyes to be more highlighted, I applied my MAYBELLINE Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer "Buff" on my under-eye area and blended with my fingers.
  4. After blending everything in, I applied my REVLON Nearly Naked Pressed Powder "Fair" with my REAL TECHNIQUES Powder Brush to set my foundation.
  5. Since no look is complete without bronzer, I applied my PHYSICIANS FORMULA Healthy Wear Bronzer "Tan" with my REAL TECHNIQUES Contour Brush on the sides of my forehead, nose, and chin. I also contoured on my cheekbones as well.
  6. Because this is a Spring look, I used my TARTE Amazonian Clay 12HR Blush "Fantastic". Since its a matte blush and I wanted a shimmery finish, I topped off Fantastic with RIMMEL Lasting Finish Blush + Highlighter "006 Autumn Catwalk" for a glowy pink glow.
  7. I also applied PHILOSOPHY Shimmering Face Powder "Amazing Grace" on the top of my cheekbones as a highlight using my REAL TECHNIQUES Pointed Foundation Brush.
To see how I did my eyes, stay tuned! I am going to show my eyes on a different post because I didn't want this one to be too long. I am going to show you guys what I am wearing on my lips!

LIPS PRODUCTS USED:
◊ ELF STUDIO Lip Lock Pencil
◊ ELF STUDIO Matte Lip Color "Coral"
◊ TARTE Lip Gloss "Mel"

Steps to recreate the lip look:
  1. First, I lined my lips with my ELF STUDIO Lip Lock Pencil.
  2. Then I applied ELF STUDIO Matte Lip Color "Coral" onto my lips.
  3. Since I wanted a more glossy feel wit some shine, I decided to use TARTE lip gloss "Mel" on top.
So those are all the products that I used! I am glad that I got to create a face look that people can recreate and wear everyday. Plus its a great look that anybody can wear to work or to a party. If you would like to see a review on any of the products that I featured in this post, please let me know. Plus I also have some reviews on some of the products already so you guys could check those out as well. I had so much fun creating this eye look and I definitely loved how it turned out. Collection: Gel/Cream Liners

Hey everyone! Here is another post showing you guys parts of my collection. Last time, I showed you guys my Rimmel lipsticks collection and my concealer collection but this time, I am going to let you guys get a peek into my collection of gel/cream liners!! Yay! In case, you guys are wondering, I do have other liners like pencil liners and liquid liners but for this post, I am going to show you guys my gel/cream liners otherwise if I showed you all my liners together, it would just be one huge post and you would be here all day. LOL Keep in mind, these are just my opened gel/cream liners. I do have maybe 2 more but I haven't opened those so I am not going to feature them here and talk about them since I haven't tried them yet. This post will just feature the ones that I have opened and have been using.

Wet N Wild MegaLast Gel Eyeliner "886 Black"
I remember before I had bought this, so many people were raving about this but when I bought it and gave it a try, it sucked! I don't know why so many people like this liner because its just a horrible liner. I guess people like it because its creamy (at first) and its inexpensive but I would rather spend a couple dollars more for another liner than to buy this again. Within a week of opening this, it started drying up. Plus it flakes throughout the day, which I hate because it would leave little black flakes on my cheeks and some would get in my eyes. I just hate this eyeliner and would not recommend it at all. Definitely a miss!
To see my review on this, you can CLICK HERE.

Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner "Sapphire"
I love this gel eyeliner! Its one of the best that I have tried and I will definitely be repurchasing this. Its so creamy and applies smoothly. Plus the best part is that it doesn't flake! This definitely stays on all day and it doesn't smudge. I have had this opened since April 2012 and its almost been almost a whole year yet it is still as creamy as when I first used it! If I can, I would be getting all the shades and adding them to my collection!
To see my review on this, you can CLICK HERE.

L'Oreal HiP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner "960 Eggplant"
I think this is actually discontinued but I think Big Lots might still sell it but I can't say for sure. This is actually a pretty good liner. It comes second to my Maybelline one. I am not going to talk about this one too much because it is discontinued so it will be hard to get your hands on. Lets just say that is is creamy and applies smoothly. If you would still like to see a review on this (with swatches), let me know!

So that is all for my gel/cream eyeliners collection! I hope that you guys liked it and that I provided enough information on each of the liners. Plus if you guys would like to know more, I did provide links to some of my reviews. As always, thank you for checking out my posts and I hope that you guys liked them! Plus definitely let me know if you guys have tried any of these liners and what you guys think about them. Also, if you would like to see my other posts featuring other parts of my collection, you can click the links below!

Haul: Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you guys what I bought recently from Walgreens. I have been hearing so many great reviews on a new hand cream from Neutrogena so I had to get some for my mom to try out. In case you guys were wondering, my mom has really dry and cracked hands. I have been looking for the perfect hand cream to soften her hands for a while but haven't had any luck. Most of the reviews (if not all) were from people who received these from BzzAgent so I was a bit sad that I didn't get invited to that campaign but whatever. Since these were new, they were a bit hard to find in my stores. I actually found these at Walgreens on a display. I was a bit sad that they didn't have the bigger versions of these since the small ones were a bit pricey. These were 2oz tubes. They came in packs of two because they were "special value" and were only $5.99 each.

When I bought these, there were on BOGO so I only paid half on the second pack. If you would like to see a review on these, let me know! Keep mind that I won't be trying them but my mom will be. Plus I can take before and after pictures of her hand to show you guys if it improved her skin. What do you guys think? Should I do a review on these?

QUESTIONS:
Have you tried these?

Swatches: Revlon "099 Effervescent Opal"

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you guys a polish that I wore on my nails a while back. It is a color that I really like but also only use when I feel like I have the patience and time to wear it. The reason why I say that is because this polish is a bit on the sheer side. It took me three coats for it to become opaque on my nails. I do think that this polish is great for those who can't wear polishes to work because with one coat, it will just give your nails a sheer wash of pink. Its very sheer and can only be detected when looked at closely. I love how this polish just looks on both my nails and in the bottle. If you look at the bottle shot, you can see that this polish has an iridescent to it. Its just to pretty! I do have to say though, that on nails, the iridescent isn't that noticeable in some lighting.

As all my mani, I apply Orly Top2Bottom as my base coat and Seche Vite as my top coat for that extra shine. Plus it makes everything dry a bit faster too. The only thing that I don't like about Seche Vite is all the bad chemicals that it contains. Hopefully I will be able to find a similar top coat without all the horrible chemicals that Seche Vite has.

Haul: Forever21 Jewelry

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you guys some jewelry pieces that my sister recently hauled from Forever21. Now if you are a huge Forever21 shopper, then you know that Forever21 has some really cute jewelry and their prices aren't that bad. Although I have to admit, I've been noticing that some of their prices have been increasing a bit. Either way, it doesn't really matter much to me since I just tend to get their delicate, small necklaces or earrings since their jewelry tends to rust fast. Since they were having a sale on their jewelry, my sister decided to pick up a couple of items. I really like the items that she picked up and am surprised that she hasn't even worn them yet. Such a waste. LOL

WHAT SHE BOUGHT:
◊ Chunky Mint Bracelet
◊ "Diamond" & Gold Stud Earrings
◊ Black & Gold Bracelet

So those are all the items that my sister bought! I will definitely be borrowing a couple of these from time to time. LOL I especially love the bracelets because of how big they are! I don't know the prices that she paid for these since she got them on sale but I do know the regular prices on these. Both the bracelets were $12.80 each and the earrings was $4.80 plus tax.

Swatches: NYC IndividualEyes "Dark Shadows"

Hey everyone! I have been meaning to get this post up for a while now but I ain't gonna lie, I actually forgot about it until I was going through my makeup collection and found this little palette. I am sure that that has happened to some of you guys out there as well where you forget all about a product because somehow it gets stashed behind all the other products. Before I show you guys the swatches, I just want to mention that I actually got this product for free last year from Influenster in one of their voxboxes. This post is not sponsored. They don't even know about this post. LOL Sorry I just had to get that little disclaimer out there. I actually wish more bloggers (especially the more well-known, bigger bloggers out there would put disclaimers in their blog posts and/or videos.

Anyways, lets move onto product and the swatches! This NYC IndividualEyes "Dark Shadows" comes with a cream illuminator, eye primer, 4 shadows, and a dual-ended sponge tip applicator. It comes in black plastic compact with a clear, see through top. These actually came with a limited edition sticker on them but its been months since they came out and I actually still see these compacts in stores like CVS and Target.

This isn't going to be a full-on review but more a post to show you swatches of these shadows. So please keep that in mind. I will say one thing is that I do find the shadows to be a bit on the powdery (and chalky) side. These definitely aren't my favorite drugstore eyeshadows. As you can see with these swatches, when they are swatched alone, they aren't that pigmented. For the primer, I used the primer included in the palette and it did make the shadows appear more pigmented.

If you are looking for an inexpensive drugstore eyeshadow palette, I highly suggest trying Wet N Wild since their shadows are more pigmented and soft to the touch.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried NYC eye shadows before?

Swatches: Laura Geller Femme Fatale Plums Baked Eyeshadow Trio

Hey everyone! If you saw my previous posts, then you would be familiar with this tio. If not, to speed you up, I was lucky enough to purchase this set on clearance at my Ulta a few months ago. If you haven't checked out that haul post before, you can CLICK HERE. The set came with a bunch of products. It came with a full size baked foundation, baked blush, lip gloss, eyeliner, and this baked eyeshadow trio.

According to the pamphlet that was included with the set, the "Femme Fatale Baked Smoky Plum Eyeshadow Trio in Starlet Pink, Rubergine Dream, an Plum Smoke. Each shimmery shade of Baked Eyeshadow glides on effortlessly, blends easily, stays put and looks fresh for hours. You could slip any shade on solo, wear two at a time or try all three for a variety of sculpted effects. The darker shades can be used wet for more dramatic intensity and the deepest shade can even be used wet or dry as eyeliner. It's the ideal way to create a sultry, smokey eye." It also comes with a double-ended brush and a mirror inside the compact.

Let me just say, first and foremost, how cute is the packaging! It comes in a black lacey compact. I do have to admit though that the packaging is a bit on the bulky side. I do wish that it was a bit slimmer so it would be easy to store in my collection. Also, the compact is a bit hard to open sometimes and I feel like whenever I try to open this, I might end up ruining my manicure. I definitely have to be patient with this whenever I open this.

Laura Geller baked eyeshadows are my first high-end baked eyeshadows that I have tried. For me, I find baked eyeshadows a bit tricky to work with and I'm definitely not a fan of the fallout that baked products tend to give off. Plus I feel like most baked products have to be wet for the colors to show through. The same goes for this trio, as you can see in my swatches.

I actually didn't show the colors wet but actually I showed them swatched alone and with a primer. You can just imagine how pigmented they will be when used wet since they are more pigmented with primer. When swatched alone, they aren't as pigmented but they can be used to create soft, natural eye looks but if you want more intensity then I highly suggest you to use them wet and/or with an eyeshadow primer.
