Review: Coppertone CLEARLYSheer Sunscreen

Hi everyone! As you all know summer is right around the corner. The days will be hot and the sun will be blaring. It is important to wear sunscreen everyday, especially during those hot days when the sun could burn our skin. Everyone knows having sunburns isn't attractive especially when you want to wear shorts and tanks.

Since I live in California, the weather is always crazy. Some days its 100 degrees (like last week) and the next few days, its windy and cold. On the hot days, I like to go hiking and those are definitely the times where I need to wear sunscreen. I am so glad that BzzAgent gave me the chance to join a campaign to try and review some new products from Coppertone. I was sent one full size and two travel sizes of Coppertone CLEARLYSheer Sunscreen Lotions and three travel sizes of the Coppertone Sunscreen Continuous Spray. I also received some coupons to give away with the travel sizes for my friends and family to try.

I haven't tried Coppertone products in a long time. I think I tried one years ago but that one was a bit thick for me so I am glad that I got the chance to try out the new ones. I definitely prefer the Coppertone CLEARLYSheer sunscreens because the formula is lightweight and moisturizing. My skin doesn't feel heavy with product but instead feels clean and fresh. Its absorbs right into the skin. I don't have to worry about this causing breakouts plus the scent is pretty nice too. I use this on everyone in my family and they all love it.

My little brother especially loves the sprat because he can just spray the sunscreen onto his skin and rub it in. Its great to wear on those hot days because the sunscreen spray has a cooling sensation when it comes into contact with your skin. Great to carry with you during the day when you need a cool down and protect your skin from those harmful sun rays. If you get hot during the day then you should definitely try the Coppertone Sunscreen Continuous Spray because it will give your skin a nice pick me up throughout the day.

If you are traditional with your sunscreen, I would recommend the Coppertone CLEARLYSheer Sunscreen Lotion. It moisturizes your skin, doesn't clog your skin, and is fast absorbing. Its perfect for those sunny days! Plus if you apply too much, it doesn't leave a white cast or dried to a white powder finish on your face or body like other sunscreens do.

I recommend both types of sunscreens for the summer but of course everyone has their own preference whether it be in lotion form or spray form. Let me know which ones you guys decide and tried out. I would love to hear your opinions. Please comment below what sunscreens you have tried before and didn't like.

BzzCampaign: Got2B POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a real quick post to show you guys a preview of what I got from BzzAgent to review. In case, you didn't know already, I am a BzzAgent and sometimes I do get free products to test out and review. I don't get paid to talk about these products. All opinions are my honest opinions. Sorry, I just wanted to get that out there, just in case and for any new members. I actually just got this in the mail yesterday and I am so excited to test it out. I know it isn't makeup (and I love makeup) but trying out new hair products can be fun too.

I was actually lucky enough to get invited into another campaign, which was to try and review the Got2B POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder. I remember being on the search for great volumizing products but actually gave up a few years ago on finding that one perfect product so when I got a chance to try out this product, I took the dive. The campaign actually came with three (one for me to try and review) full size products. I have been thinking about what to two with the other two products, whether I should just give them to a friend and/or family member or maybe save them for a future giveaway. What do you guys think?

I actually haven't tried this product yet but I will give it a shot tomorrow to see if it really gives my hair any volume since I have flat, Asian hair. According to the packaging, you can "change the game of how you style with got2b POWDER'ful volumizing styling powder and take your volume to new heights! Join the powder revolution with this innovative, weightless formula that texturizes your hair to create maximum volume at the roots. Apply anytime, anywhere for an instant transformation!"

Please let me whether you have ever tried this product before and what you think about it. I would love to know your thoughts on it. Plus let me know what you would like me to talk about in my review, if you have never tried it before.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried any got2b products before?

BzzCampaign: Schick Hydro Silk Razor

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a real quick post to show you guys a preview of what I got from BzzAgent to review. In case, you didn't know already, I am a BzzAgent and sometimes I do get free products to test out and review. I don't get paid to talk about these products. All opinions are my honest opinions. Sorry, I just wanted to get that out there, just in case and for any new members. I actually just got this in the mail yesterday and I am so excited to test it out. Granted it isn't makeup but hey, us girls do need razors and I have been on the search to find the perfect razor for my legs. I thought that this would be the perfect time to test out the Schick Hydro Silk razor. This razor has been out in stores since last January so it isn't a new product but it did win the 2012 Best Razor award in the Cosmo Beauty Awards as well as the 2012 Best Hair Remover from Fitness Magazine.

My package came with a razor kit that included two razor cartridges, one handle, and one shower hanger to hold your razor in the shower when its not in use. This razor kit retails for $9.49 but prices vary by stores. I haven't given this razor a try yet but I can't wait. Good thing that my old razor is about to retire because I can't wait to bust this baby out in the shower. LOL It also came with a couple of coupons that I plan on giving away to my sister and some friends. Hopefully they will use up the coupons and not let them go to waste because $5 off is such a high-value coupon, in my opinion.

Stay tuned for a review on this razor soon. I was thinking of maybe including a before and after picture of my legs using this razor but I figured that showing you my hairy legs might be a bit TMI. LOL What do you guys think?

QUESTIONS:
Have you tried out the Schick Hydro Silk Razor?
Do you like Schick razors?
What brand of razors are you using?

Review: Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Face Care Line With Clary Sage

Hey everyone! I have been meaning to do this review for such a long time but as you know with the holidays, it gets pretty busy. I have been lagging on my posts and have so many that I need to type up. Hopefully I can get them done by the end of this week but we will see. The life of a beauty blogger. LOL If you didn't know already, I received these products from BzzAgent to review. Since I have been super busy, I have been trying out these products since I received them. Its probably been a month or more of trying these poducts out, which is always the best when reviewing skincare products. I am so glad that I got these to try out because winter is here and my skin has been getting really dry lately. To know more about Burt's Bees Intense Hydration products, you can click the above link or CLICK HERE.

Lets just talk about my skin before using these products. My skin was extremely dry in certain places like on my cheeks and on my chin. I hated applying makeup because it would make my dry skin even more noticable. I have tried many day and night creams but none have them have fully gotten rid of these dry patches. Even though I have have dry patches, my skin is also oily on my T-zone like my forehead and nose. I was worried that using skincare products meant for dry skin would make my skin oiler and cause more breakouts but this wasn't the case. Plus I used to take Biotin daily but not anymore. I wanted to see how well these products would work on my skin so I stopped taking Biotin and don't really see myself taking anymore.

The products that I received to review is the night cream, treatment mask, and the cream cleanser. All these products are from the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Face Care line with Clary Sage. I sort of wished that it came with the day cream as well but these products were great as well and very generous with their size. As you can see all these are full size products. I am going to talk about each of these products one by one.

The first one that I am going to talk about is the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Treatmeant Mask. I only used this a couple of times but not as much as the other products since this is a treatment mask. This normally retails for $17.99 but prices vary by the store. I would sometimes use this after the cleanser and apply it all over my face and neck. They suggest you to leave it on for 5-10 minutes but I kept it on for the full 10 minutes. I have to admit that it was kind of wierd using this product because usually the masks that I use, I would have to rinse off after usage but with this treatment mask, I would remove with a cotton round and massage the remaining product into my skin. I kind of didn't really like that because it felt weird to me to have the remaining product on my skin. I always felt the need to rinse my face afterwards. I am still a bit unsure about this product so I won't really go into futher detail about this one.

The second product that I received was the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser. This cream cleanser retails for $9.99 plus tax. This product is something that I really like but I have to say that this cleanser might not be for everyone. The reason why I say that is because if you are someone who just likes to remove your makeup with one product then this might not be for you. But if you are someone who is used to taking off ALL of your makeup off, then you might like this, especially if you have dry skin. For me, before going to sleep, I would always go with the same routine for removing my makeup:
  1. Remove makeup with ELF Studio Makeup Remover Cloths.
  2. Use Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser.
  3. Blot my face on my towel to dry off.
  4. Use Clean & Clear toner to remove the rest of my makeup. (Repeat twice or more as needed).

Since I am so used to using multiple products to remove all of my makeup, this is fine for me. As you can see in my pictures, I did multiple tests using the cream cleanser. All these tests were finished off with my Clean & Clear toner to show how much makeup was leftover on my face.

The first test was when I used this product alone and with toner afterwards to see how much makeup was leftover on my face. As you can see, using this cream cleanser alone didn't remove all of my makeup. I am not sure if it even removed anything. I think this is a great product for those who wear minimal to no makeup at all. Since I wear liquid foundation everyday, I would always have to use this cream cleanser with other products. If I would use this cleanser alone than I would have to wash and use toner maybe two-three times to get everything off.

The second test that I wanted to show you guys was how this cream cleanser would perform with a facial brush. I don't have the Clarisonic Mia but have always been lusting after it. For right now, its just not in my budget. Since I couldn't justify the price tag, I decided to buy the Sephora face brush. I tried looking for it online on the Sephora website so I could get the actual full name and provide the link but I can't find it anymore. This definitely did help a bit when removing my makep but it didn't remove it all. I think it was because the cleanser is a cream cleanser and wasn't one that foamed up. I think I would have better luck with a foam cleanser because it sudds up and cleans more.

The last test that I performed and love because its my usual nighttime routine is using this cream cleanser with my ELF Studio Makeup Remover Cloths. I always use a makeup remover wipes to remove my makeup because I just feel and know that it removes all my makeup fast and easy. Since I was using a makeup remover wipe, I would only have to wash my face once and use toner once or twice. As you can see, for me that the last test was more better since it removed 98% of all my makeup. I would just have to use toner twice and it would be perfect for my routine.

For me, I would actually prefer using the cream cleanser in conjunction with my makeup remover wipes. I have been using the third test as my nightly routine for over a month now and am completely satisified with this product. It doesn't make my skin break out. Actually I have been breaking out less since using this product as well as the other products in this line. I think its probably because these products are 99.0% natural compared to my other cleansers.

Now onto the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream. Let me just say that this night cream is really moisturizing. Its especially great for those with dry skin. Even though I do have some dry patches and an oily T-zone, this night cream didn't break me out at all. It didn't make my skin feel heavy either, which was always a plus. It claims to have a non-greasy formula, which is probably the reason. Since this night cream is so moisturizing, you actually don't need a lot of product so I can see this night cream lasting a while. One thing that I don't really like about the night cream is the actual packaging. Even though it is glass packaging and sturdy, I just hate that its in a jar. I wish it was in a pump form because its more sanitary. This product retails for $17.99, depending on the store.

I do have to say though that all these products have a scent to them. I don't know what the scent reminds me off but it smells really good. It isn't a strong scent but tends to disappear once applied onto the face. Since using all these products, I no longer have any dry patches on my face. I definitely see myself buying these products, especially in the winter because my skin always gets dry in the Winter. I won't be using these in the Summer because I tend to get more oily during those days. I actually think these products have improved my skin. Like I said in the beginning of my post, I used to take Biotin but since using these products, I don't anymore. They also claim to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles but I don't really see any improvement or changes in that area. I actually have a couple of worry lines on my forehead and they haven't diminshed. If you are looking for products that moisturize, you might like these products but if you are looking for some to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles as well, I am not sure if I would suggest these. You might have to use these longer than a month to see any improvement on wrinkle decrease. All-in-all, I really reccommend these products from the Intense Hydration line. If you tend to get dry skin in the winter, you might want to try these products.

BzzCampaign: NERF FireVision Sports Football (Review)

Hey everyone! If you guys didn't know already and/or new to my blog, I am a BzzAgent. A BzzAgent doesn't get paid but does get to try out products and services often for free with samples and coupons. Once you try out the products and/or services, you just share your honest opinions with people. I was lucky enough to be invited to join another campaign on BzzAgent. Even though I did receive this product for free, I still give my honest opinion about it. I get nothing out of it. I know that this is a post that usually wouldn't belong on a blog like this since it isn't related to anything beauty but it is semi-related to health since being active is what keeps us all healthy. And when we are healthy and happy, we are all looking beautiful. Plus, I just wanted to share this with everyone, like with those who have little siblings (like me!), friends who love sports, and/or family members who are active.

Now if you didn't know already, NERF recently came out with a new line, called FireVision. So far, they have the NERF FIREVISION FOOTBALL, NERF FIREVISION NERFOOP and the NERF FIREVISION HYPERBOUNCE. Both the hyperbounce ball and the basketball set automatically comes with one pair of FireVision frames but the football set comes with 2 pairs of FireVision frames.

If you are still confused what is NERF FIREVISION, this is how NERF describes it,

"For years, a certain caped superhero has fooled children into thinking greatness comes from taking a pair of glasses off. But with NERF FireVision Sports, the magic happens when you put the FireVision Frames on.

To turn up the heat on throws and catches, slip on your futuristically cool NERF FireVision Frames and start tossing around your FireVision Football — you'll see the game in a whole new light. Literally! Thanks to innovative new FireVision Microprism Technology, you and anyone wearing a pair of FireVision Frames will see an illuminated football in the daytime and in dim or low lighting. Which means the fun never has to end.

And it won't. Because now kids at heart can add even more excitement to a game of catch after school or H.O.R.S.E. after dinner. Go ahead, make up your own games. Here at BzzAgent, we especially liked playing Capture The Flag using FireVision footballs in place of flags.
Ready to put some glow in your game? Lights Out, Game On!"

Are you still confused? If you are, in simple terms, NERF FireVision is a new line of of sports products that light up when you play with the NERF FireVision Frames. With the frames, you can see the ball light up. For instance, if you are wearing the green frames, the ball would light up in green. If you were wearing the red frames, then you would see the ball light up in red. But if you weren't wearing any frames, then you would just see an ordinary football being thrown around by people wearing light up frames. LOL

Okay, now onto my review! I was lucky enough to receive the NERF FireVision Football last week. Since then my little brother has been playing with it constantly, after dark. When he saw this, he couldn't wait to open it up and play with it. I of course, told him that he had to finish his homework first before he could touch it. After he finished his homework, he ran outside and grabbed the football and started to mess around with it. He was so intrigued with how it worked. I played with him a couple of times and thought that it was really cool how the football would light up when wearing the frames.

We played outside for a hour because he had to get ready for bed since he had school the next day. Since then we have been playing with it almost everyday. Its pretty fun. Its just like playing catch but the only difference is that you can play anytime. You can play during the day with or without the frames (your choice) and at night with the frames. The only downside that I cam say with this is that if you have a big nose, the frames might pinch your nose after a while. For kids, the frames fit perfectly. Also, the frames do require battery to light up. One of the batteries on one of the frames started dying the first time we played it. We only played 20-30 minutes in before the light started to fade on one of the frames, which is a bummer since its new. Other than that, I think that whoever that is playing this will love it, especially if they are a fan of glow-in-the-dark toys. Plus if you are inside the house and its dark outside, you can always see where your little siblings and/or children are playing because of the FireVision Frames.

Overall, I would definitely reccommend trying this out. Plus the football is lightweight and soft, just like the usual NERF products. If you or anybody you know is active and into playing sports, definitely consider getting them to try this. Its pretty fun, especially when you play with others. If you have any other questions and/or concerns, definitely let me know and I will try to answer them. Plus you can check out the NERF FireVision commercial, just CLICK HERE.

WHERE: Target, Amazon.com, Walmart, ToysRUs and etc.

PRICE:The football retails for $19.99SRP, the hyperbounce ball retails for $9.99SRP, the basketball set retails for $14.99SRP and a pair of FireVision Frames retail for $5.99SRP each.

QUESTIONS:
Are you interested in trying out the NERF FIREVISION line of sports products?
What do you think of the NERF FIREVISION FOOTBALL?
Which NERF FIREVISION would you consider getting?

BzzAgent Campaign: Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine

Hey everyone! Guess what? I was lucky enough to be invited to join another campaign on BzzAgent. If you didn't already know, I am a BzzAgent and I received these products to review and give my honest opinion about. This is my second health & beauty campaign that I have joined from BzzAgent. I just received my products yesterday and was so excited when I saw the package on my door step. I was home when it came and was getting ready to leave. I was a bit disappointed that the postal worker didn't even bother to ring the doorbell or knock on the door, letting me know that I had a package. He just left it on my door step and walked away. I was glad that I was still home because it was in full view in front of the street and anybody could have just seen it, walked up and stolen it easily but enough of my banter. LOL

For the campaign, I received two full size products from Garnier Fructis. They are the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Fortifying Shampoo and the Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Fortifying Conditioner. I am not going to review it right now because I haven't tried it out yet but expect a review on both products in a couple of weeks. Right now, I am just going to talk about it and give you a few facts about both products. I have already smelled both products because I just love hair care products that have a great smell. They say that they both smell like Argan oil and apricot but to me, the shampoo smells like apples and the conditioner smells like apricot. Both smell yummy and wonderful but for some reason, the conditioner just smells better (in my opinion).

Garnier Fructis describes both Sleek & Shine products having:
"Ulta-smoothing Argan oil from Morocco (and a great little thing called fortified fruit science), these powerful formulas keep your hair looking sleek for three days straight, even in 97% humidity! We're talking all-new, high-performing formulas and superior, conditioner technology. These rich products are two years in the making, formulated to treat hair to the core and still rinse clean. Top that off with fresh, new fragrances, and you're got the mean to condition, strengthen and smooth even the most uncooperative tresses."

A couple of facts on the new Sleek & Shine Shampoo & Conditioner (provided by Garnier Fructis):
  • Work best on dry, frizzy and unmanageable hair
  • Fight frizz and keep hair sleek for three days straight, even in 97% humidity
  • Infused with Fortified Fruit Science and ultra-smoothing Argan oil from Morocco to deliver long-lasting shine and hair that's 10X smoother
  • Packed with ultra-rich and smoothing conditioners that rinse clean
  • Part of the #1 treatment brand in America

Like I said, I haven't tried these products out yet but I will start using them tonight. I already got ready by putting my existing shampoo and conditioner in the drawers and placed the Garnier Fructis ones in my shower. If you want to give these products a try for yourself, they are available at grocery stores, drugstores and mass retailers like Target and WalMart. They have a suggested retail price of $3.99USD for the 13 oz. and $6.99USD for the 25.4 oz. but prices typically vary by store and location.
