Swatches: LA Colors Bold Eyes "Lively"

Hey everyone! I have been meaning to get this post up for a while now but I just had other posts that I wanted to get up first so I left this on my backburner. Since I have some time today, I figured that i might as well start typing it up since I already took pictures of everything. It would just be waste if I didn't do the post. This is actually the first makeup product that I have tried from LA Colors. I do have a couple of their nail polishes, which are okay but I have always been curious about their makeup. I always see them at my Dollar Tree but never got any to try out until a few months ago. The products that interested me the most from the brand was their eyeshadows. I have seen a couple of reviews on their eyeshadows but never on the Bold Eyes palettes so I picked one up.

The one that I decided to buy is the LA Colors Bold Eyes "CP124 Lively" because of the colors. I thought that the palette was interesting enough to try because each shadow has "splatters" of another shade on them. I hope you guys understood me. LOL I never tried any shdows that looked like that before but I have seen them in some of the ELF palettes.

These were alright but if you are not a fan of shimmery shades, then I wouldn't recommend this for you. Plus the shadows are a bit on the powdery side, which you can tell from my finger swatches (shown above).

You would definitely need an eye shadow primer with these. I had to swatch them a bunch of times to get the colors to show up on the camera. I would not recommend this palette. If you are looking for inexpensive eyeshadows for a dollar, I would recommend ELF eyeshadows but if you are willing to spend a bit more, then try Wet N Wild eyeshadows.

SPOTTED: LA Colors Little Black Book of Eyeshadow

Hey everyone! Guess what? A few days ago, I had some time and decided to stop by Dollar Tree. I heard that some stores have started carrying drugstore brand skincare like Garnier and I wanted to see if my store had any. Sadly they didn't carry any. Even though my trip was a fail, I was still able to spot a new display in the makeup section. I don't know when LA Colors came out with these but they have recently started selling them at Dollar Tree. If you still don't know what I am talking about, I am talking about the LA Colors Little Black Book of Eyeshadows. This collection has three different editions: Natural, Smoky, and Glam Edition. First off, before I go into the editions and show you the pictures, these little black books are small. The eyeshadow pans are probably the same size as the Coastal Scents eye shadow pans in their 88 pan palettes, if not smaller. They also each come with one eyeshadow sponge applicator.

The Natural Edition is basically your neutrals. Most of the shadows are shimmery finishes, if not all. They are different types of browns, bronzes, and creme shades.

The next one is the Smoky Edition has your purples, blues, and silvers to black shades. This palette also contains shimmer shades.

The last one is the Glam Edition has all your colors, great for those bold, colorful eye looks.

If I had to choose which one to buy, I would end up buying the Natural Edition because those are the ones that are more wearable for me. What about you guys? Which edition are you guys willing to buy and/or looking interested to getting? I never tried LA Colors makeup before so I can't say how well the quality is but if you have tried their makeup before, please let me know how they are.

SPOTTED: New Collections

Hey everyone! Guess what? I was just at RiteAid today and spotted some new collections. Yay! I just love seeing brands come out with new collections, especially when they come out with blushes and/or nail polishes. In this case, its nail polishes and lip glosses! I spotted three brands coming out with new collections. For nail polishes, its LA Colors and WnW. For lip glosses, its a brand that I have never heard of or seen, called Hedy's Ma.Nish.Ma.

First and foremost, lets talk about the LA Colors new collection. I don't really own many LA Girl nail polishes but I just might actually pick some of these up. If you didn't know, LA Girls came out with a new collection called Fruity Scented Nail Polish. I just love how on the display, they have the saying "wear the flavors of the season." Looking at the nail polish bottles, some might be jellies with shimmers but I am not sure. I just know that they are all gorgeous shades and are all scented polishes.

Have you seen this new collection yet? Have you tried any of these LA Girl Fruity scented polishes? Which shade would you love to get your hands on?

Another nail polish brand that I spotted with a new collection is Wet N Wild. WnW just recently came out with a new collection called Chrome. This is a limited edition collection so if you spot these, make sure to grab some up. These retail for $3.99USD each. On the display, it says "Ride in style! Torque up your nails with chrome-plating for a bright, high-powered, metallic finish!"

To tell you the truth, these nail polishes look gorgeous! I am definitely going to be picking some up the next time I am at RiteAid. I just love how they look on the model's nails in the display. All of these shades look gorgeous and all have metallic finishes. I can't wait to get my hands on some of these!
I did happen to jot down the names. From left to right, the shade names are:
  • Steel The Spotlight
  • A Show At The Palladium
  • Precious Petals
  • Hog-Quartz School
  • Stay Outta My Bismuth
  • Grew Up In Cobalt-Imore
  • I Got A New Com-Pewter
  • Penny For Your Thoughts

Have you spotted this new collection from WnW yet? Don't all of these shades just look gorgeous? Which ones would you love to get your hands on?

Now for the lip gloss collection. This collection is from Hedy's Ma.Nish.Ma and its the Tropical Delights Layered Flavored Lip Gloss Collection. I have never see or heard about this brand before but their lip glosses seem pretty interesting. I took a couple of close-ups of the actual lip gloss to show you why they are interesting. I think there are only three flavors but I am not sure because some of them were already bought.

The three flavors that I were able to see were:
  • Mango Tango
  • Bubblegum Berry
  • Kiwi Lime Daiquiri

All of these lip glosses look interesting because there are four different colors layered in one lip gloss tube. All of the colors look pretty intense and great for this season. I don't know if the colors apply separately or if they all get mixed together. If anyone has tried these, please let me know. I am so curious about these that I am regretting that I didn't buy one. LOL Plus they all come with a "key chain" attached to the actual tube.

Have you heard or tried anything from Hedy's before? Have you seen this lip gloss collection yet? What do you think about these layered flavored lip glosses?

NOTD (& Mini-Review): LA Colors Nail Polish in BCC582 Jewel Tone

Hey everyone! I haven't done one of these in a while. I love painting my nails but I always end up forgetting to take pictures of them until they start chipping and then its too late. LOL I have painted my nails so many times since my last NOTD post. I finally remember to take a picture of this week because I love how sparkly it looks so much!

I bought this nail polish at Dollar Tree. It was $1USD!! It is the LA Colors Nail Polish in BCC582 Jewel Tone. I love it so much. This is the first time that I've tried a LA Colors nail polish. I do have a couple of other LA Colors nail polishes too but I haven't tried them yet. I decided to wear this polish because its so sparkly and it has blue, purple, and pink glitters! This polish took me about four thick coats to completely cover my whole nail with glitter. Plus when you go outside in the sun, the light shines off of them. In some of my pictures, you can see how the light actually reflecting off of the glitters. Sorry about the close-up being a little blurry, either I couldn't figure out how to get my camera to auto-focus and/or it just doesn't have the auto-focus function. LOL

PROS:
❀Gorgeous glitter polish with blue, purple, and pink microglitter
❀Inexpensive, only cost me $1USD plus tax for this polish
❀Brand is very easy to find at stores
CONS:
❀Took 4 thick coats to completely get the nail covered with glitter
❀Chipped within 4 days
❀Easily peelable (Would peel on its own sometimes without me even knowing it LOL)

If you would like to see more pictures of Jewel Tone on my nails and close-ups of the polish, please check out my makeup blog! I am definitely going to be buying more LA Colors glitter nail polishes just because I love how it looks on my nails. These are great to wear during the holidays and during the summer in the sun! I just love how the light reflects off of my nails with this polish on in my pictures! Its so gorgeous! You can't really tell that much in person but when you're taking pictures and/or videos, it definitely shows!

Have you ever tried LA Colors glitter polishes? Which ones are your favorites? What do you think of Jewel Tone?
