Spotted: L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara

Hey everyone! L'Oreal has done it again. They came out with a new mascara and an eyeliner. I actually almost didn't see this display at my Walgreens because the display was apparently made for a corner display and it was located on the bottom, just a couple of inches off the floor. I could have walked right past it and not even notice it.

They just recently came out with a new mascara and this time, its called the Voluminous Butterfly mascara. It claims to give your lashes "incredible fanned out volume" so if your lashes need volume, you might end up liking this mascara. Whats makes this mascara different is the brush wand, which is a winged tip butterfly brush. So far, I haven't seen any reviews on this mascara yet so I guess its barely hitting the shelves.

Another item that was in the display was Infallible Blackbuster Liquid Eyeliner with a jumbo felt tip applicator. I love eyeliners with felt tip applicators so I might have to give this a try sometime once it goes on sale. You guys know me, why pay for full price when you could get it on sale?

Both the eyeliner and mascara were priced the same at my Walgreens and you can usually catch L'Oreal products on a BOGO 50% offf sale. If you have tried any of these products before, please let me know how they are and if they perform well. I would try the L'Oreal mascara but I don't always have the best of luck with them because my lashes are so short and stick-straight. If you have lashes like me, let me know which mascara you would recommend.

Spotted: L'Oreal Denim Shades Collection (Limited Edition)

Hey everyone! I finally had some time to visit my Walgreens to see if they had any good sales since I don't receive their weekly ads in my mail anymore but while I was there, I spotted a couple of new displays and new products! Yay! Whenever I walk into a drugstore, I automatically check out the new displays before going anywhere else in the store. Let me know if its the same with you guys. Anyways while I was there, I spotted a new display featuring the L'Oreal Denim Shades collection. This collection is actually limited edition so if you do see any new products, I highly suggest you go and check it out before it sells out. This collection features a variety of blue shades for different products. There are nail polishes, eyeshadow quads, eyeliners, mascaras, and single shadows.

For the nail polishes, if you love wearing blue polishes, you should definitely check out these. All of the shades are creme finishes. They are all gorgeous shades. You have 540 Jet Set To Paris, 530 Now You See Me, and 550 After Hours. Jet Set To Paris is a bright blue. Now You See Me is a dusty blue. After Hours is a deep dark navy. I heard that these polish shades aren't new but are repromote shades from previous collection so if you missed out on them before, this is your second chance to get your hands on them.

For the eyeshadows, L'Oreal decided to include two quads. These two quads are great to create different blue looks. The two quads are 208 Skinny Jeans and 211 Haute Couture. There are also three Infalliable eye shadows, which are repromotes and are permanent shades. You have 222 Infinite Sky, 337 Endless Sea, and 889 Mightnight Blue. My favorite would probably have to be both Infinite Sky and Endless Sea.

Last but not least are the new eyeliners and the new mascaras. Both of these products are limited edition so if you are interested in these, you better get your hands on them quick. There are two Infallible Never Fail Mechanical Eyeliners in 541 Navy and 561 Teal. These would definitely be great for the summer to add a pop of color to the waterline. The last product on the display is the Voluminous Million Lashes mascara. These claim to give no clumps. Plus if you love weaing colored mascaras, you might like this since its in 718 Blue. I have heard a lot of people raving about the original L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara so its nice to see it in a blue shade.

So those are all the products that are included in this limited edition collection from L'Oreal. There are some products that are repromotes like the eyeshadows and the nail polishes but the eyeliners and mascaras are limited edition. I actually might go back and get the mascara since I have always wanted to try colored mascaras. Let me know if you have tried any of these and what products are you looking foward to trying.

Spotted: CoverGirl Ink It Eyeliners (NEW)

Hey everyone! Here is another display that I recently spotted during my Ulta shopping trip. It is the new CoverGirl Ink It Eyeliners. According to the display, these eyeliners give you a "perfect point plus bright, bold, precise liner that lasts." On the display, there were only 3 shades: 230 Black Ink, 255 Silver Ink, and 260 Brown Ink. I am sure that there will be more shades coming out soon, especially since the model in the display is wearing blue eyeliner. I really like how these are coming out for the Summer since these claim to last long. I don't know if they are waterproof but we shall see.

If you have seen and tried these eyeliners already, please leave a comment below because I would love to know if these are waterproof. I might actually get the black one to try out and maybe wait to get a color one for the Summer as a pop of color on the eyes. These were $6.99 plus tax at my Ulta store but prices vary by stores and region.

Lisa's March 2013 Favorites & Forgets

Hey everyone! March is now over and now its April. Of course, I wanted to have this post ready for the first day of April but its been crazy lately. I hope you guys all had a great April Fool's Day and had lots of fun pranking people. I know I sure did with my little brother. Haha. If you guys did some crazy pranks, I would love to hear about them, especially if they involve lots of laughter! Okay onto my monthly favorites! This time, for my March favorites, I don't really have a lot of products. I am a bit surprised but thats probably because I have been using the same products so I didn't really want to feature them again on repeat. But I do know for sure, next months will probably be bigger with a bunch of makeup items. Plus because I reorganized my makeup collection, I discovered a couple of products that I forgot about.

FOUNDATION:
◊ Revlon ColorStay Whipped Foundation "Medium Beige"
Its been a while since I used this foundation. I had actually stopped because I wasn't breaking out as much as before so I didn't really need a foundation with much coverage. Since I reorganized my makeup, I decided to start wearing this again. Its actually a pretty good foundation but it is a bit on the thick side (but not as thick and cakey as the original Revlon ColorStay, in my opinion) and I tend to prefer foundations that are more liquidy. If you are looking for an alternative to the original Revlon ColorStay foundation, you might like this one.

CONCEALERS:
◊ Almay Clear Complexion Concealer "Light/Medium"
I am almost finished with this. It is a bit hard to get all the concealer out of the tube so I might have to cut it in half later on to get every little bit. I really like this concealer and just recently bought three more as backups, which you will see in my haul post soon. I really like how well this concealer covers and how it doesn't irritate my pimples.
◊ Almay Clear Complexion Concealer + Treatment Gel "Light/Medium"
I know that in my previous review, I said that I didn't really like the concealer but now my feelings have changed a bit. The reason why I didn't like it at first was because of the horrid smell but after a while, the scent has descreased and I can't barely detect it anymore. The scent doesn't linger where I apply it anymore. I don't why they even made it with that scent because it was just horrible but I'm glad that smell is pretty much gone. The concealer covers well. I would just rub my finger onto the concealer and apply it to my blemishes. The treatment gel is pretty good as well. It works like any other drugstore acne treatment that I have tried.

◊ MAC Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35 "NW20"
This is a bit light for my skintone but I love it for my undereye area. I can see why people love this concealer. I really like how well it covers (even though I don't have any dark circles or bags under my eyes) and how well it brightens my eye area up. Its creamy but not as creamy and thick as the Benefit Erase Paste but the MAC one has yellow undertones so it looks better on my skintone.

EYES:
◊ Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Shadow Primer
I really love this eye primer. Its not too thick or too watery. Its just the perfect consistency for an eye primer plus it really makes my shadows more pigmented. If you never tried this before, you should really give it a try. Plus I really like the packaging. Its like a lip gloss applicator where you would squeeze out the product, which I find more sanitary.
◊ ULTA Kohl Eye Pencil "Halo"
I have been loving this as a highlight for the inner corner of my eyes. It has a shimmery finish so its perfect to use to give your eyes that wide awake look. Its so creamy and pigmented that it doesn't take long to apply. Plus I never have to tug or go over anything. It stays on pretty well but the only complaint that I have about it is that its not retractable. I hate eyeliners that need sharpening because I feel like it wastes so much product whenever you sharpen them. Other than that, I really like it.
◊ Revlon Brow Fantasy "Dark Brown"
This is a product that I have been using a lot during March. I am not sure if I can say that I love it. I am not sure how I feel about this because I could have easily just bought the wrong shade. I am not sure if there is another shade darker than Dark Brown. For my brows, Dark Brown has some red undertones to it (especialy in the brow gel), which doesn't look great on my brows. If there was another shade, I would probably like this product. The pencil is pretty easy to use but I still feel like the mini brush in the ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit is way more easy to control and use. This also comes with a brow gel, which isn't the right shade. Plus I feel like it doesn't tame my brows that well and sometimes it makes my brow hairs dried. I'll probably end up doing a review on this product later on...
◊ Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara "Black"
I really love this mascara. I don't know if Mary Kay still sells this but if they do, I would probably end up repurchasing this. It gives my lashes some volume while lengthening them a bit. It doesn't make them appear really long but thats okay. Plus what I really like about this mascara is that it doesn't clump on me or flake on me.

SKINCARE:
◊ Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream With Clary Sage
This night cream is really moisturizing. Its especially great for those with dry skin. Even though I do have some dry patches and an oily T-zone, this night cream didn't break me out at all. It doesn't make my skin feel heavy either, which was always a plus. It claims to have a non-greasy formula, which is probably the reason. Since this night cream is so moisturizing, you actually don't need to use a lot.

◊ Clean & Clear Advantage Popped Pimple Relief Drying Paste
Recently, I stopped taking Biotin (mainly because I've been forgeting to LOL) and because of that my skin hasn't been the best lately. Sometimes I would get random pimples all over my face and I get into the habit of popping them when they get too big. I know that popping pimples isn't good so whenever I make that mistake, I always make sure to use this drying paste. It comes out like a cream and dries instantly on the area you apply it too. The reason why I like this is because this seems to be the only drying paste that lasts all night on my face. Whenever I wake it, it still on my face.

FORGET:
◊ Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Intensive Skin Repair Serum
I absolutely do not like this serum. It smells so bad. I don't know what it smells like but its just horrible. I was actually hoping that this would smell like blueberries when I bought it but nope. I asked both my brother and sister what they thought of the smell as well and they didn't like it. The scent does take a while to go away, maybe a minute. Other than that, I will not be repurchasing this. I am just going to try to finish this whole bottle up and hope to never smell it again.

Spotted: New Maybelline Products

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show everyone some new products from Maybelline. They just recently came out with their very first Maybelline MasterDuo 2-In-1 Glossy Liquid Liner. According to the display, you can use this liner to create both thin and thick lines with its dual tip. Plus its considered long-wearing. These actually sound pretty interesting. Plus I already have some of their EyeStudio Gel/Cream liners and I love those so much so I might have to try these out someday. They have these liners in black, purple, brown, green, and navy blue. If you seen this display, please let me know if you bought any of these liners and whether or not they are worth buying.

Also, if you are definitely a fan of the Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles, then you might actually want to try out the new Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Spot. While the Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles is meant to be used to cover up dark circles and fine lines for the under eye areas, the new Age Rewind Eraser Dark Spot is meant to cover instantly and fade dark spots over time, according to the display. This is actually pretty interesting because I have always wanted to try the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles but I don't have any dark circles or fine lines under my eyes so I wouldn't really know if it was a good product or not but so many people have been raving about it. So I am pretty excited that Maybelline has finally come out with one that I can use for my dark spots and maybe acne spots. This is actually a concealer with a treatment. Plus it has Vitamin C in it, which is always good.

So far, there are five shades in this line but I am sure that Maybelline will expand the shades later on, especially if this product becomes popular like the original Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles. The following shades are:

• ◊ 210 Fair
• ◊ 215 Fair/Light
• ◊ 220 Light
• ◊ 225 Light/Medium
• ◊ 235 Medium/Deep

One thing that does get me is that I wish Maybelline had made it easier to see the actual color through the packaging like they did with the original but I guess they did that because they didn't want people getting confused and returning them if they bought the wrong concealer. I mean the white packaging does look nice but its so hard to tell which shade would best suit your skin tone and just going with the color on the paper packaging is hardly ever successful. Let me know what you guys think about the new packaging. Are you guys in the same boat as me and wish that they had made it more easier to see the actual shades inside the product? Would you guys be picking this up to try?

Also, a new collection, featuring the Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal was recently released. These are new metallic shades. All of these shades look gorgeous and I definitely see them as being wearable shades, depending on how you wear them on your eyes. There are two shades that I really want to add to my collection, if I decided to buy them but I will get to that later.
In this LE collection, there are five new shades:

• ◊ 55 Inked In Pink
• ◊ 60 Silver Strike
• ◊ 65 Gold Rush
• ◊ 70 Barely Branded
• ◊ 75 Electric Blue

In my opinion, I can definitely see both Inked In Pink and Barely Branded being the first two colors that will sell out fast. Both of those shades are definitely wearable and can be great for everyday looks. Those are definitely the two shades that I would love to add to my collection, if you guys haven't guessed it yet. Barely Branded reminds me of Barely Beige. I think it can be great for those who didn't get a chance to pick up Barely Beige because it was sold out so fast. I wouldn't say that they are exact dupes but they can be somewhat comparable. What do you think of the new LE shades from this collection? Do you plan on picking up any of these shades and if so, which ones?

Last but not least are the new Maybelline Color Whispers. Keep in mind, that I haven't tried these but I have heard that these are comparable to the Revlon Lip Butters, which I love. These actually look like they have similar packaging to the usual Maybelline ColorSensation lipsticks but remind me of the Revlon Lip Butters' packaging as well, especially when the cap is off. I actually spotted these at Walgreens for $7.99 each. If you know me, then you would know that I am going to wait for them to go on sale first and then buy some. I just hate paying full price for items unless I am going to need it (not want it but actually need it). There is a huge difference between the two but I admit, sometimes the line between them does get a bit blurred. LOL On the display, there were 20 new shades ranging from pinks, nudes, berries, and reds. I love how there are different varieties because there are a couple of light to dark shades. The different shades are (starting at the front):

Whew! Now that is definitely a lot of shades! All of them look so gorgeous that I wish I had the money to just buy all of these! LOL I can't wait to see swatches of these and plus I would love to know if these are in any way, similar to the Revlon Lip Butters. Maybelline & Revlon Haul

Hey everyone! Last week, I had the chance to go visit a RiteAid. If you hve been keeping up with me lately, then you would know that the RiteAid in my area closed down a few months ago. Since then I haven't been to a RiteAid store. I think its been about 4-5 months since my last RiteAid visit. There are other RiteAids but they are sort of a far drive and to me its not really worth it when I could go to a Walgreens or CVS down the street. I didn't intend on going to a RiteAid but since I spotted one nar by, I knew that I had to go check it out, especially since I have heard many people talking about the clearance deals at their local RiteAid. I know that all RiteAid stores are different and what you see on clearance at one store, you might not see the same deals at another store. I think it just depends on the manager and what products they want to get rid off.

Even though I wasn't expecting much, I knew that I had to check it out anyways. Since it was my first time being at this RiteAid store, I didn't know where they had their clearance items or if they even had a clearance spot. I went all over the store looking for it. LOL I know I am crazy but I had to check it out anyways since I love getting good deals. This store had their clearance items on an end cap in the back of the store. They didn't have that many clearance items so I am assuming that I came a bit late since there was barely any makeup left. I did spot some Revlon Moon Drop lipsticks on clearance but I didn't need anymore lipsticks in my collection so I passed on those.

There were two items that I saw and knew that I just had to have! The first item that I instantly grabbed was the Maybelline Highlighter "400 Ray of Gold". This highlighter actually came out in the Maybelline's Spring 2012 LE collection. I remember wanting to get my hands on the highlighters in the collection so bad when they first came out but for some reason, the display never showed up at any of the drugstores around my house so I missed out on it. When I saw this highlighter with the clearanca sticker, I was so estatic. I was tearing through the end cap trying to see if the other highlighters in the collection were there as well but this was the last one. I haven't tried this yet but I will soon! I remember seeing swatches of it when it first came out and Ray of Gold is a gorgeous light gold. Hopefully I will be able to find Blissful Pink as well someday, which is the other highlighter in the collection.

Another item that I picked up was a Revlon Luxurious Color Smoky Crayon "007 Bronze Smoke". If you haven't tried this before, its basically an eyeliner pencil that you can use as a shadow as well. I will be using this as an eyeliner since I know that brown isn't as harsh as black on the waterline and looks more natural. Plus I usually like these kind of liners since I don't have to sharpen them since its a twist up. Of course this isn't my favorite or holy grail liner but it was on clearance so I couldn't help pick it up. It was originally $9.99 but I bought it for $2, which is definitely a huge savings.

So those are all the items that I bought! I wished that I had found Blissful Pink on clearance as well but since it was a LE items in Spring, I was luckly enough to even find Ray of Gold. Plus the best part was that I had an amazing cashier. Even though the clearance items were supposed to be 50% off the actual retail price, she adjusted eveything and gave them to me for 75% off!! She was so sweet and a kind person! I definitely know that if I ever get the chance to go to this RiteAid again, I will be looking for her. Haha!

Going Crazy For CVS Clearance Sales

Hey everyone! This haul was definitely long over due. I was surprised that I hadn't post it already. I think it was because I went so many times during the CVS Clearance Sale that there were some hauls that I just forgot to post. Next time, I am just going to save all my clearance items and combine them all into one collection haul post because we all know that whenever CVS has their clearance sales, I always end up going more than once. This time I probably went five times, which is a bit crazy but I couldn't help it, especially seeing all the great items that everybody else gets.

I can't remember how much I paid for these items but I can remember that I had coupons for almost every item but one. Plus they were all on clearance and chances were that I had used a 20% off CVS coupon since I always get those during these sales, which saves me even more money. Out of this haul, there were only two products that I have never tried before and have always been curious about. I admit, if they were never on clearance, I would have never bought them. Yes, I am that much of a cheapie. LOL The only time when I buy something that I WANT and not NEED is when the item is on sale and if I have any coupons for it. I just hate wasting money on items that I just want because they are new on the market and maybe end up hating them.

In this haul, I only bought 4 items and all of them are beauty items. I bought two L'Oreal items, one CoverGirl, and one Essence of Beauty brush. The items that I bought were:

• L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara "985 Blackest Black"
• L'Oreal HIP Color Chrome Eyeliner "920 Gold Charge"
• CoverGirl Outlast All Day Lipcolor "540 Pink Delight"
• Essence of Beauty Smokey Eye Shadow Brush

So that is all for my haul. I didn't buy much but I sure did save a lot with my coupons! The only products that I have tried so far is the CG Outlast and the Essence of Beauty brush. If you didn't know already, Essence of Beauty is a CVS store brand and can only be found at CVS stores. They have some really great quality, affordable brushes that definitely don't get noticed much as they should. If you would like to see any reviews on these products, please let me know!

Crazy RiteAid Makeup Haul

Hey everyone! So if you didn't know already, the RiteAid in my area closed down. It closed down a while ago and this haul is a month old. SMH This haul was probably done a week before they closed and everything in the store was 75% off!! There wasn't that much left because I came a little late into the sale and all the makeup was thrown into boxes. It was so messy lookig through the boxes. There was some spilled nail polishes and opened lipsticks. It was just such a hassle but because everything was 75% off, I made myself look through every box twice. LOL I didn't get that much because I was with my little brother and he was bothering me the whole time to go home. He kept on saying "Lisa, you already have too much makeup. You don't need anymore. Let's go!" He was constantly pulling on my arm too. SMH Sometimes its a good thing when he does that but when its 75% off, you can't beat a deal like that. I sort of even regret not buying more because people were going crazy on the makeup.

I didn't get much because I wanted to limit myself. I just bought a couple of products that I have been wanting to try but couldn't justify paying full price for them and a backup for my all time favorite foundation. I also bought two lip products for my mom because she has been on the hunt for long lasting lip products. Here are all the items that I bought:

FACE:
➸ Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls Powder Palette "Beige Pearl"
I have never tried these before but I heard that these make great highlighters. On the back of the packaging, it says that its "unique palette of multi-colored pearls blends together to create an instantly glowing complextion and a perfectly even skin tone." I plan on using this as a highlight for the top of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. Summer is the perfect time to start using this.
➸ Almay Clear Complexion Foundation "600 Sand"
This is my overall favorite foundation. I have back ups of this. Right now I am on my last one on the old packaging. I can't wait to start using the ones in the newer packaging because they come with pumps! I don't know if this is the correct shade for me but it was 75% off. I figure that if its too light, I can use bronzer all over and if its too dark, I can use a lighter foundation. Either way, I can't really go wrong.
➸ L'Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer "862 Light"
I haven't seen any reviews on this concealer so I don't really know if its any good. I bought this mainly because its a concealer thats supposed to give off a glow. I thought it would be perfect for the under eye area since it will give my face a brighten look. I actually wasn't going to buy this because it was covered in something sticky but since it was completely sealed in plastic, I bought it anyways since I can always remove the plastic sealing and it would be clean.
➸ Maybelline DreamLumi Touch Highlighting Concealer "340 Buff"
This is another concealer that I haven't tried yet but its pretty much the same concept as the L'Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer. Its a gel based concealer that illuminates shadows while concealing the under eye area. You can use this around the inner corner of your eyes, on the top of your cheekbones, the sides of your nose, and on the corners of your mouth. I wanted to buy a lighter shade but Buff was the only one that I could find, digging through all the boxes.

EYES:
➸ L'Oreal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner "960 Eggplant"
I have been on a hunt for the best gel/cream eyeliner. So far I have tried the one by Maybelline, ELF Stduio, and WnW. The ELF Studio was not my favorite because it dried up within a couple of days o using it. My favorite for right now is the Maybelline one but its sort of pricey for a drugstore liner. Since this one was 75% off, I decided to give it a try. I have always wnated to give this liner a try but its pretty pricey regular price. Sorry about the dirty packaging. I think some pink nail polish spilled and some got onto the packaging and dried.
➸ L'Oreal HIP Shocking Shadow Pigments "914 Intrepid"
I actually thought that these were discontinued a long time ago but I have now been spotting these in other stores as well. I don't really like using pigments that much because they are messy to apply but I couldn't pass this up because its a gorgeous shade. I also remember reading somewhere that its a complete dupe to Too Faced Label Whore and MAC Club but both are pressed shadows while Intrepid is a loose pigment. Intrepid is a gorgeous green-teal with shimmer.
➸ L'Oreal 24HR Infallible Eyeshadow "889 Midnight Blue"
Midnight Blue is a gorgeous shade. Its a navy blue with a black base. I wasn't even going to buy this because I'm more of a fan of neutral shades. I have never worn blue shadow before and the only thing blue that has even gone on my eyes is blue eyeliner but never blue shadow. I have been wanting to give these a try since they came out and since it was 75% off, I had to get it. Hopefully I will find some way to wear it on my eyes without looking like I got punch in the eyes. LOL

LIPS:
➸ Revlon Just Bitten Lip Balm + Stain "Flame"
This is a lip product that I bought for my mom. She has been on the search (or should I say that I have been on the search for her LOL) for the best long lasting lip product. My mom doesn't really have anything in mind and doesn't care if its a gloss or a lipstick as long as it lasts all day so I thought that she could give this a try. If you know any lip product that would provide all day color on the lips (without having to reapply constantly throughout the day), please let me know. I have heard great reviews on the Revlon Lip Balm Stains but I am waiting for those to go on a good sale before I buy them. Haha!
➸ CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor "619 Lingering Spice"
I remember hearing Judy from ItsJudyTime rave about these CG lip products and how long they last on the lips. I was actually looking for a pink shade but this was the only one that I could find. I have tried one before and I didn't really like it. My mom wanted a lip product that would give her lips the long lasting color. I am guessing maybe that they changed the formula since Judy loves them so much. This comes with a lip gloss that is supposed to stay on all day on your lips and comes with a lip balm to give your lips moistured during the day.

So that is all for my 75% off RiteAid haul. I did end up going back when they had their 90% off but I didn't get much and haven't taken pictures yet. I will try to get that haul posted up sometime this month, maybe sooner. If you guys have tried any of these products before, definitely let me know how you like them.
