Review: Montagne Jeunesse

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a review on a product that I fell in love with a couple of days ago. I feel like I haven't done a review in ages. I've done mini reviews on other review sites but for some reason, I haven't been doing many for my own blog. LOL Well that is going to change! Plus I have been hauling like crazy lately. For some reason, the holidays always make me go shopaholic crazy with all the great deals right now. For all those shopaholics out there, you know what I mean! Be proud and stand strong my fellow shopaholics!

If you didn't know already, I am helping test products for Influenster! Keep in mind that I received these products complimentary to test through Influenster's 2011 Holiday VoxBox program. All reviews are my honest opinions. No one is paying me and this post is not sponsored in any way. I am just lucky that I was one of the chosen few to be able to receive a VoxBox and be able to test out products that I have never had the chance to try yet. Plus I am just helping spread word about these wonderful products that I have been honored to get the chance to test.

I made a post over a week ago of all the great products that I received so I could test out and review (both here on Luuux and on my blog). In that post, I just have pictures and a list of all the products that I am very excited to try out. You can click here to see my Luuux post and/or click here to see my blog post on all the products that I received in my 2011 Holiday VoxBox.

A product that I am going to be reviewing is a facial mask by the brand, Montagne Jeunesse! I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this in my 2011 Holiday VoxBox, courtesy of Influenster. I have been wanting to try these ever since I spotted them at my local Walgreens a few months ago when they first came in stores. Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pac To-Ultra Deep Pore Cleanse in Kelp & Seaweed is a facial mask that is used to deep clean your pores and giving your face a clean and smooth feeling. These masks are intended to wash out any impurities that you face may have. First, you cleanse your face with your usual face cleanser. Second, you apply the product onto your face. After applying the product all over your face (avoiding the eye and mouth area), you have to wait at least 10-15 minutes or until its completely dry on your face. Final step is rinsing your face once time is up.

When I first applied the mud pac onto the my face, I noticed that the consistency of it is just like any other facial mask that I have tried. Its cold to the touch but you don't really notice that once its on your face. The color was like a minty-light green blue paste. Its smells so good. The smell isn't overpowering, so those with sensitive noses, don't worry! You can't smell it once its on your face. I asked my younger brother if he could figure out what it smelled like but all he said was, "It smells so good" and went back to watching tv. LOL

Right when I put it on my face, I could see it cleaning out my pores around my nose area. I started applying the product on my nose first and while I was working on my cheeks and forehead, I started noticing my pores more because it was cleaning them out. After I finished applying everything all over my face (while avoiding my eye and mouth area), I could feel it my face getting tighter around the edges. After I waiting for everything to be completely dry, I wash it off my face using warm water. Oh my goodness, after washing my face, this mask made my face so smooth and soft! I could tell that my face was clean. I didn't notice if my pores were smaller or anything because that would require frequent use.

Another thing that I like about this product is that is vegan, paraben-free, and animal-friendly because according to the back of the packaging, they don't "bash bunnies or add bites of animals." You can see that saying in my picture above taken of the back of the packaging. I also like how these are packaged in little packets instead of big squeezable tubes. I feel like these are more storage friendly and easy to bring with you when you are going to be traveling for a while like a vacation. Plus these are great to bring during those nights at a friends house because of their convenience and size. I really like how they have pictures of girls wearing the product with weird stuff featured on their eyes. Its pretty funny but unique at the same time.

Montagne Jeunesse has a bunch of different masks for different skin types. Plus they come in a variety of different flavours like Cucumber Peel-Off, Strawberry Souffle (I want to try this one next!), Passion Peel-Off, and so much more. You can find these are Walgreens, WalMart, CVS, ULTA, Kroger, and other retailers near you. These are usually around $3USD but prices vary by stores and region. Also stores sometimes have these on sale like 2/$3USD. To find out more about Montagne Jeunesse products, you can CLICK HERE!

I would definitely recommend these to those who love using facial masks. These are great to use after a hard day or when you just want to relax. Plus they make your face so soft and smooth afterwards, which is also a plus! LOL Also these are easy to find and are so inexpensive so that you won't feel guilty after you buy a couple of these! I will definitely buy a couple to try out the next time I am shopping at CVS!

My ULTA Haul: FREE PINK BATH ROBE

Hey everyone! I had a ULTA 20% off coupon that was expiring on the 24th of December so I decided to go and buy some before it expired. Also I love shopping at Ulta because they have way more stuff than Sephora and they also have way better promotions and freebies! Plus I heard that Ulta had EOS Lip Balms on sale so I knew that I definitely had to go and pick some up. I had never tried EOS products before and I didn't want to be pay regular price for it so I have been waiting for them to go on sale. They were buy 2 for $5USD, which I thought was an alright deal. I wanted to try them out so bad that I was okay with saving a little. LOL Plus on the back of the Ulta catalog, there was a coupon for a free Ulta product, so yay! I love Ulta blushes and this was the perfect time to pick up a couple since they were also BOGO FREE!

What I bought:
EOS Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet 2/$5
EOS Lip Balm in Summer Fruit 2/$5

I have been wanting to try some EOS lip balms ever since I have been hearing about them on YouTube and Luuux. I am so glad that I finally have them! I can't wait to try them out. Hopefully they live up to their hype.

Ulta Cheek Color in Heartbreaker $7
Ulta Cheek Color in Exposed FREE, SAVED $7

Ulta was having a BOGO FREE promotion on their selected products. I really like their blushes so I thought it was a great time to pick up some more. I already have one in Heartbreaker but wanted to pick up a backup because I love it so much. It gives me a great flush of color on my skin tone. Red shades don't really look that good on me because my skin is so light so Heartbreaker is close to a red shade but its flattering on me.

Ulta Eye Crayon in Birthday Girl $8
Ulta Lip Crayon in Late Night FREE, SAVED $8

I never tried either of these products so I just picked them out just because I was curious. LOL Hopefully they turn out okay!

Ulta Eye Shadow #2 Brush FREE, SAVED $10
This brush I got for free because I had a coupon. I am not sure how I feel about this brush but free is free. I will figure out an use for it.

3-Piece Pedicure Set (x2) $1
I bought one initally to give to a friend as their stocking stuffer for Christmas but saw how cute it was because it was pink and purple that I had to get one for myself as well. It was only an dollar each so it didn't hurt. LOL

Juicy Couture Perfume Set (Couture Couture, Juicy Couture, and Viva La Juicy) $35

These are travel size perfume sprays. They are 0.33 fl. oz. each or 10ml each. I love how these are actually sprays and not rollerballs. I never had Juicy Couture perfumes before but I have smelled Viva La Juicy once and remembered loving it. Plus I got a FREE pink bath robe with any $30 perfume purchase! I can't wait to wear it. I have been wanting a pink bath robe for a while now. Right now, I have a yellow one but its getting old and isn't as pretty as a pink one. LOL

I hope all of you like my haul. Did any of you guys go to Ulta when they were having all these promotions or used your 20% off coupon? Have you tried any of the products that I bought? What do you think about them?

Please check out my Luuux!

My CVS Clearance Haul (Store #4)

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas! I have been meaning to post up this haul for a while now but I have always been busy. I will try to do better next time. I promise! This haul was done when CVS had their sales on their Ponds and Sensodyne toothpastes. I remember because I wanted to buy some Sensodyne for my mom to try out since my mom has been experiencing sensitivity from her teeth. Plus I went looking for some Revlon Lip Butters because all the displays at my other CVS stores in my area were completely wiped out. I have been on the search for Lolipop and Creme Brulee but no such luck. The display at this store was almost cleaned out. There were a couple left but they were all tampered with and swaatched. Eww! Hopefully I will find those two shades soon! Also, I love Ponds Dry Skin Cream and since CVS was having a BOGO FREE on Ponds products, I thought that it was super great deal. I bought the really big container of Ponds Dry Skin Cream. I bought the 10.1 oz one! I had two but I had given one to my boyfriend because his hands were getting cracked from the winter.

LOL This is the fourth CVS store that I was able to go to. Plus this CVS store still had a bunch of their items on clearance, which was awesome! All the makeup and nail polishes that I bought in this haul were 75% off and the Sensodyne toothpastes were $4.49USD each! If you haven't been to a CVS store, definitiely go to one and check to see if they still have a bunch of clearance items and before all the good products are gone.

What I bought:

I bought all of these for $27.10 including tax. I had coupons and a CVS ECBs! I was so excited when I left the store and got into my car! I started going through my bag and looking at all the goodies that I bought. LOL I can't wait to try all the makeup and nail polishes that I bought. I hope you all liked my haul! Sorry about posting it so late. Its been such a hassle to get onto Luuux these past couple of days but I will definitely try my best!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me by commenting below or by messaging me. Did you purchase anything from the CVS clearance sale? Was there anything that you wanted? Have you tried any of the products that I bought in this haul? Did you like them?

Review/Swatches: NYC New York Color "Nude York City"

Hey everyone! If you didn't know already, I am helping test products for Influenster! Keep in mind that I received these products complimentary to test through Influenster's VoxBox program. All reviews are my honest opinions. No one is paying me and this post is not sponsored in any way. I am just lucky that I was one of the chosen few to be able to receive a 2011 Holiday VoxBox and be able to test out products that I have never had the chance to try yet. Plus I am just helping spread word about these wonderful products that I have been honored to get the chance to test.

I made a post over a week ago of all the great products that I received so I could test out and review (both here on Luuux and on my blog). In that post, I just have pictures and a list of all the products that I am very excited to try out.
You can click here to see my Luuux post: CLICK HERE
You can click here to see my blog post: CLICK HERE

I was lucky enough to receive NYC Liquid Lipshine in Nude York City 582. It is a gorgeous nude shade on the lips. I wouldn't really call the shade a true nude because it doesn't really nude out your lips and give you that dead lips look like a true nude lipgloss and/or lipstick. This is a perfect shade that goes with any look. You don't need a mirror to apply this because its a shade that is so easy to apply. Right now, there are 10 different shades ranging from neutral nudes to berries and fushcias. I definitely can't wait to try one in a pink shade! You can check out their other shades, if you click here: http://www.newyorkcolor.com/

Nude York City 582 is a shimmery shade. It does have shimmer but its very fine shimmer. You can't feel the shimmer on your lips, which I love. I hate lipglosses where I can feel the shimmer on my lips whenever I rub my lips together so I am glad that this isn't one of them. Plus I think the shimmer actually makes the lipgloss look better on my lips because its gives it that extra shine. Nude York City is a nude lipgloss but I wouldn't call it a true nude shade. It doesn't give you that dead lips look like other nude lipsticks and/or lipglosses. This is a nice nude shade that is perfect with any look. My lips are pretty pigmented so I really like how this shade makes my lips a shade lighter.

One of the things that I like most about this lipgloss is the applicator. It isn't your typical applicator like the kind that most lipglosses have but a thin, long flexible applicator. Its easily bendable, which is great because it can easily apply product onto your lips, especially onto the corners of your lips. I tried taking a close-up picture of the applictor but for some reason, my camera couldn't focus and all the pictures ended coming out blurry. Sorry!

This lipgloss gives my lips a gorgeous shine on my lips, because it has pure pigments that create a 3-D gloss effect. I love how it looks on my lips, especially when I go outside in the sun because it makes my lips more noticable. It also has vitamin e, which makes your lips shine while giving it a moisturizing feel. I really like the formula of this lipshine because its non-sticky, super shiny & soft on my lips. Its not sticky like other lipglosses but its enough to stay long on my lips while keeping it moisturized. This lipgloss doesn't slide around on my lips, which I love.

Also, it does a smell to it. I don't know what it smells like. I can't figure it out but to me, it smells like a delicious dessert. I really like the smell of this lipshine. I am not sure if the other shades have a smell to them or if different shades have different scents. The smell isn't overpowering. You can't smell it once its on your lips. The smell doesn't bother me at all. I actually like the smell of this lipshine because it smells so good.

WHERE: You can find these NYC Liquid Lipshines at Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Family Dollar, Duane Reade, Kmart, HEB, and other stores.

PRICE: These lipshines retail for $2.49USD but prices might vary depending on the store.

I definitely recommend this lipgloss to anyone who loves lipglosses and/or loves trying out new products! This is a great product to have. I love how easily it is to apply onto my lips. I can easily put it on my lips, without needing a mirror, and I am out the door within seconds. I can't wait to try other products from NYC!

Another NYX Girls Nail Polish Haul

Hey everyone! Guess what? I bought some more NYX Girls Nail Polishes! I really liked the ones that I bought before so I decided to get a couple more! I have been meaning to post this haul but I never have enough time until now! It isn't a huge haul because I am still trying out NYX nail polishes. I have been mostly trying out their glitter and shimmer nail polishes. I haven't tried their other ones yet but hopefully, I will soon! Not all of these nail polishes are for me. I bought a couple as gifts to my friends for Christmas, which they already have.

What I bought:
❀NYX Girls Nail Polish in Dynamic Glitter (x2)
❀NYX Girls Nail Polish in Roots (x2)
❀NYX Girls Nail Polish in Sunday Afternoon

I know that this haul isn't much but right now, I am loving these NYX Girls nail polishes. They last about 5 days on my nails, with a top coat before they start chipping. I haven't tried any of the glitter polishes just the shimmer ones. I hope you like my haul. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

My Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Quads

Hey everyone! Okay, sorry I couldn't post these pictures in my CVS Clearane Haul (Store #3) and I didn't want to just delete these pictures because that would mean that it was a waste of my time to take these in the first place. LOL Plus I am sure that there is someone out there who would like to see these, from seeing my previous haul. I thought it might make the post way too long if I had posted all these pictures there and I wouldn't have liked the look of it. LOL

I will try to post swatches of these quads later on, after I try them out for a while. Some I might chose to give away to friends and family memebers. I don't know which ones I will be be keeping for myself and which ones I will be giving away, hence the reason why I took the pictures while they are still in their actual packaging.

The Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadows that I bought:
❅322 Nude Elements
❅315 Neutral Khakis
❅320 Sandstorm

❅380 Silver Fox

❅310 Coffee Bean

❅330 In The Buff

❅325 Blushed Wines

I haven't tried any of these yet but I heard that they are pretty good quality and are very pigmented. Plus with them being on clearance at CVS stores, they are a great deal to buy! I bought these all for $1.75 each plus tax! I saved $5.24 for each qaud! So overall, I saved about over $35 because I bought all of these for 75% off, which is super crazy!!

If you haven't been to your CVS, I highly suggest going whenever you have a couple of free minutes to check everything out before all the great items are gone. Check out different CVS stores, if you have a couple in your area. I hope you like my pictures. Sorry if some of them might be blurry. I am still trying to get used to the camera. LOL

My CVS Clearance Haul (Store #3)

Hey everyone! Guess what? I went to another CVS store to buy some more clearance items. I promised myself that I was going to contain myself and not buy so much items. I have been seeing a lot of people's hauls on these Revlon ColorStay eyeshadows for under $2 each and I couldn't help myself. I had to get some to try out before they stop selling these or before they change the packaging and/or formula. I just a couple of items that I have been wanting to try out for so long or items that I was interested in but just didn't want to pay full price for it. LOL This CVS clearance sale is great for that because it lets you try out products that you have been wanting or eyeing but just couldn't justify its price. I love these sales!!

What I bought:
Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Quads
PAID $1.75T, SAVED $5.24 I bought seven of these but all in different shades. I took individual pictures of each quad, which I will be posting in another post after this one.

Physicians Formula Bamboo Bronzer Refill in Light Bronzer
PAID $2.75T, SAVED $8.24 I can't believe that I saved over $8 on these each. Its crazy how expensive Physicians Formula is for a drugstore brand. I can't wait to try these out. I have been looking for the perfect bronzer. Hopefully, these will fit my requirements. LOL

Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat
PAID $1.37T, SAVED $4.12 I was lucky to find this one because it came with a bonus nail polish!! So I pretty much got two polishes for $1.37 plus tax, which is a super good deal. I haven't tried the top coat yet because I already have so many top coats that I need to use up first. if you see this at your local CVS, with the bonus nail polishes, go ahead and scan it to see if its on clearance, because it is such a great deal.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye & Enhancing Shadow & Liner from the Eye Candy collection in Enhance Hazel Eyes
PAID $3.05T, SAVED $9.14 I don't have hazel eyes but I loved the colors in this palette but its the only palette that was on clearance from Physicians Formula. I can't wait to try it out.

Well I hope you all liked my third CVS clearance haul. LOL If you haven't check out my other two CVS clearance hauls, please feel free to check them out. If you haven't hit up your local CVS store yet, defintely check them out right away when you get the chance before all the goodies are gone. I can't wait to try out all the goodies that I bought. I will b posting up another post on the Revlon ColorStay quads right after this one, so please stay tuned for that.

CVS Clearance Haul (Store #2)

Hey everyone! Guess what? I couldn't contain myself and tempted myself to go to another CVS store to check out their clearance products. The CVS store that I first went to didn't have much products left because everyone bought them already so I thought I would try my luck at another store. If you haven't seen my first CVS clearance haul, you can CLICK HERE or CLICK HERE for my blog website. I have been seeing so many people's clearance hauls that I wanted to buy some more stuff to try out. I have been really wanting the NYC Bronzer in Sunny for a while now and when I found out that it was on the clearance list, I went out to all the CVS stores near me to look for it. I couldn't find it because apparently none of my CVS stores sell NYC products anymore, which is weird. I guess I would just have to buy it regular price at Target.

Well onto my actual haul:
❄Revlon Matte Powder Blush in 003 Perfectly Peach 75% off, Paid $2.75T, Saved $8.24
❄Revlon Matte Powder Blush in 002 Blushing Berry 75% off, Paid $2.75T, Saved $8.
❄Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in 096 Petal 75% off, Paid $2.47T, Saved $7.42

❄Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in 22 Gunmetal (x2) 75% off, Paid $0.79T, Saved $2.40
❄Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in 34 Going Green 75% off, Paid $0.79T, Saved $2.40
❄Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Sheerest Cream Blush in Etheral 75% off, Paid $2.99T but had a $2 off coupon, so I paid $0.99T, Saved $9.00

❄Rimmel Lycra Lash Extender in 001 Black (x5) 75% off, Paid $2.09T but had $1 off coupon (x5), so I paid $1.09T, Saved $7.42

❄Nature Made Superior Potency Biotin (x2) BOGO FREE, Paid $9.99T for both, Saved $9.99

I had a couple of both manufacturer coupons and CVS ECBs so my total came down to $21.72USD! I saved $15USD with all my coupons and ECBs, plus even more because all the products that I bought were either on clearance or on a BOGO FREE sale! YAY! I never tried any of these products before, except for the Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear nail polishes. I have been wanting to try out Biotin for a while nail because I heard that its good for healthy hear, skin, and nails. I just hope that the liquid softgels aren't huge because I hate huge pills.

I love all the Rimmel mascaras that I have tried so far, which are the Sexy Curves and the Lash Accelerator mascaras so I thought I would give their other mascaras a try. I bought a couple to give to my friends and my sister. Whenever she needs a new mascara, she doesn't need the hassle of going down to the drugstore and buying herself one. LOL She just goes into my room and asks me for one everytime.
I can't wait to try out all the blushes that I bought! I am a blush addict, for those that didn't know already. LOL I have been wanting to try out some more matte blushes so I thought these would be great to test. Plus I never tried a actual cream blush in a pan before. All my cream blushes are in stick form as in the NYC Blushable Creme Sticks. Also I went to the lipstick display hoping that Soft Nude was on clearance but it isn't so I opted for Petal instead. I don't usually buy lipsticks that much but I thought I would give this one a try.

I am so happy that I bought all of these products are great prices. If you haven't been to a CVS store yet, you should definitely check it out before all the great clearance products sell out. I heard that a lot of these products are getting discontinued, so right now is a great time to try out the product that you have been wanting to try out while its on clearance. As you can see, I also included a picture of my reciept so you can see the great prices! Plus its even better when you have coupons and ECBs. Well, I hope you like my haul. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Hey everyone! If you didn't know already, I am helping test products for Influenster! Keep in mind that I received these products complimentary to test through Influenster's VoxBox program. All reviews on all products that I post about are my honest opinions. No one is paying me and this post is not sponsored in any way. I am just lucky that I was one of the chosen few to be able to receive a VoxBox and be able to test out products that I have never had the chance to try yet. Plus I am just helping spread word about these wonderful products that I have been honored to get the chance to test.

I made a post yesterday of all the great products that I received so I could test out and review (both here on Luuux and on my blog). In that post, I just have pictures and a list of all the products that I am very excited to try out. You can click here to see my Luuux post: http://www.luuux.com/health-beauty/i-recieved-my-first-voxbox-influenster?blog_id=32644

Oh my goodness! These imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails from Influenster are impressive! I received the one in 100 Ecstatic Cling! They are a bright pink shade, which I love. How did Influenster know my favorite color is pink? LOL I sort of did kind of wish that I had recieved the other styles that others got like LoveStruck and WinkWink but hey I can't complain. These were complimentary so I could test them out and review them.

These are so easy to apply because they have an adhesives that you peel off on the back of the nails and just apply firmly. It doesn't take long, pretty much seconds just to apply onto your nails. You don't need glue with these so they aren't messy and complicated like other false nails. Also because there is no glue needed, there is no drying time. Plus these are shiny so you don't really need a top coat for added shine.

On the packaging, it says that these nails last up to a week. I haven't had the chance to try that out yet. This is the second day that I have them on. So far so good! I will try keep you updated and see if they do actually last up to a week. Plus it also says that they are easy to remove. All you have to do is either peel the nails off carefully or apply nail polish remover around the edges of the nail and they should come off. I also love the packaging that nails come in! They come in a plastic bottle shaped like a regular nail polish bottle, which makes these great for storing these on my nail polish racks. You can see in the picture below how the shape of the packaging is pretty much the same size as other nail polishes like Revlon, OPI, and Sally Hansen. I am pretty sure that if I buy a whole bunch of these, they will look adorable on my nail polish rack, plus it makes it easier for me to see what styles and patterns that I have. I can't wait to try out more in different colors and especially different prints and patterns! There are so many styles that I want to try out now like Holla!, LoveStruck, WinkWink, and Payback! So far, they have 36 colors and patterns, including brights, classic darks, and animal prints! Thank you Influenster and imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails!
