Spotted: Essie Madison Ave-Hue Collection

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you guys a new collection that I recently spotted at my Walgreens a few days ago. I was actually there to check out the clearance sale on the Valentine's items but my store didn't have much left so I decided to go to the next best thing, which was the makeup aisles!! Of course, I had to check to see if there were any new displays out and I spotted this one. It is the Essie Masison Ave-Hue collection. It features four shades for the spring.
The four shades in the collection are:
  • 1007 Madison Ave-Hue
  • 1009 Avenue Maintain
  • 1010 Maximillion Strasse-Her
  • 1011 Go Ginza

I think all four shades are pretty but I have seen similar ones from Essie as well but then again, I don't have a bunch of Essie polishes in my collection. If you have seen this collection, please let me know and whether you plan on purchasing any shades. Which shade do you think will be the most popular for spring?

Review: Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF50 Pressed Bronzer

Hey everyone! If you remember, I had bought this bronzer a couple of months ago from Big Lots. If you are looking for any PF Healthy Wear products, I suggest going to Big Lots because they are all sold for $4 plus tax. So far, I have seen the liquid foundations, bronzers, and the popular pressed powder that so many people like. I didn't need any more pressed powders so I I decided to buy a bronzer instead. I have been using this bronzer now and then since purchasing it so I thought that it was finally time to review it for you guys.

PACKAGING:
This bronzer comes in a round orange compact. In the middle of the compact is a tiny pink ribbon. The whole compact is made out of plastic and isn't that sturdy. Every time I open it, I feel like the top is going to rip off someday. There is a little button that you have to push to open the compact. Inside there is a mirror and underneath the bronzer is a compartment that holds their included brush.

WHAT:
It is a bronzer that contains SPF 50. Its supposed to be water-resistant, sweat-proof, and long-lasting. Because it has SPF 50, it helps prevent sunburn. According to the packaging, it "delivers maximum broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection, and provides the warmth and luminosity of a natural tan glow. Beauty's response to a thinning ozone layer.
  • Protects - SPF Boosters and Mineral-based Titanium Dioxide & Zinc Oxide provide SPF 50 protection and help skin stay protected longer without residue or greasiness.
  • Prevents - Potent antioxidant blend helps to prevent future UV damage and premature signs of aging.
  • Restores - Licorice Extract & Tomato Derivatives help brighten skin and diminish the appearance of sun spots.

HOW:
You can definitely apply this using a variety of different brushes. Whenever I apply bronzer, I always use a brush that is tapered to the point like my Real Techniques Contour Brush or my ELF Studio Small Tapered Brush.

SHADES:
Mines is in the shade Tan, which you will be seeing swatches of. For this bronzer, I think that there are four different shades for this bronzer. I was actually looking for the shade Medium but my store only had Light and Tan. Light looked like it would be better used as a pressed powder and since I wanted a bronzer for contouring, I choose Tan.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:
Overall, I am not really a fan of this bronzer. As you can see in my swatches, this bronzer looks a bit orangey on my skin  tone. I have seen other reviews on this bronzer but in different shades, especially in Medium, where a lot of people actually liked it. Whenever I use this bronzer, I always have to use a light hand with this because I am definitely not a fan of the whole orangey face look. I only use this to contour my cheekbones and forehead. Also, keep in mind that if you have a ton of bronzers in your collection, you might not want to get this unless you plan to use it constantly because they do have expiration dates on them since they contain SPF ingredients  For instance, the one that I have expires in December 2013 and I am nowhere near hitting pan on it. Hopefully I will end up using a huge chunk of this before it expires because that will definitely be a waste of product and money.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried this Physicians Formula Healthy Wear Bronzer in Tan?
What is your favorite bronzer?

Spotted: Ardell Color Impact Lashes

Hey everyone! Guess what? Ardell recently came out with some new lashes that are meant to enhance your eye color. This collection has lashes for every eye color from blue, green, hazel, and brown eyes. What makes this collection interesting is that each lashes are tinted with colors. Instead of your usual black lashes, each lashes from this collection are tinted.

There are six new lashes in the collection. For instance, for hazel and brown eyes, Ardell has lashes that tinted green. Sorry that the colors don't really show up on the lashes in my pictures that well. For some reason, my camera just couldn't pick up the tint of colors but when you see these lashes in person, you can definitely see the color. I think these lashes might be great for those who have always wanted to try colored mascaras but never wanted to deal with the messy fallout or waste of product. You can use each lash pair for a couple of times whereas with a colored mascara tube, you would probably only use it a couple of times before you get tired or bored with it. What do you guys think?

QUESTIONS:
Have you seen these new Color Impact lashes from Ardell?
Would you try these lashes out?
Have you ever tried colored mascaras before?

Spotted: Sinful Colors Matte Effects

Hey everyone! I finally had the chance to stop by a RiteAid a few days ago. I actually wanted to go for the 40% off sale last week but forgot that stores in the LA region ends their sale on Thurdays and the new weekly ads start on Fridays. I went on a Friday and found out that the sale was already over. Darn. Hopefully they will have that sale again because it was such a great deal. Definitely let me know if you guys were lucky and took advantage of the sale last week. Well while I was there, I spotted some new Sinful Colors displays that I haven't seen at my Walgreens store yet. The first one that I saw was the Sinful Colors Matte Effects collection. This is a new collection from Sinful Colors containing all matte shades!! If you are a fan of matte finishes on your nails then I would highly recommend you go and check this collection out. There are currently eight polishes in this collection and they each run for $1.99 each plus tax.

QUESTIONS:
Have you seen this new collection yet?
Do you like polishes with matte finishes?
Would you buy from this collection?

Empties Late 2012 - Feb 2013

Hey everyone! Oh wow, its been so long since I have done an empties post. Actually I am not sure if I even did an empties post before because I can't even remember. LOL So either way, this is my first or second empties. Has this ever happened to you guys (bloggers) before where you think you posted a certain post but can't remember if you did or didn't post? Okay enough with my mini memory loss! I have been meaning to type up this post for such a long time. All my empties have been piling up so I decided to just put them all together in one post instead of separating them in parts. That would just be a hassle for me to do and for you guys to read. But then again, thats just my opinion. Haha!

Most of these products have been finished since the last few months of 2012. I would probably say around October 2012, which I am sure you guys can guess that its a big amount because of all the makeup remover wipes that I finished. LOL It takes me a month to finish a pack and yes, I use a wipe every night to remove the majority of my makeup before I clean my face with cleanser.

MAKEUP REMOVER WIPES:
ELF STUDIO Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths (X4)
I use up so many of these! I finish a pack a month so I always try to stock up whenever ELF has their 50% off sale on their website. These are the best makeup remover wipes, in my opinion. I have tried so many different brands but I always come back to the ELF Studio ones. There are only 20 wipes in a pack but I don't always wear makeup everyday so I don't always use a wipe everyday. These wipes are huge so they definitely clean off a lot of the makeup. Plus they are great for removing eye makeup and they never irritate my eyes. I love these!
YES TO Cucumber Soothing Facial Towelettes
I hated these and was so happy to finish up a pack. Sadly, I have two more huge packs to finish up. :( I thought that these would be great because I always hear so many great reviews on these wipes but they just sucked, in my opinion. They might work for others but they didn't work for me. These were just not moist enough for me to like. I felt like they were left opened to dry and then packed away to sell in stores. Plus these wipes are so small. I would always have to use two of these to get off everything. Hopefully I will just be able to finish up all of the ones left because I cannot wait to get rid of these.
NEUTROGENA Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
These wipes are okay so I don't really have too much to say about these. I just bought these just in case if I ever run low on my ELF Studio wipes. These are more moist than the Yes To Cucumber ones.

MAKEUP REMOVERS:
CLEAN & CLEAR Makeup Dissolving Foaming Cleaner
I love this! I wish that this wasn't so hard to find in stores. The only place that I have seen this and bought this at was Big Lots but since then, I haven't seen it since. I am so sad. Hopefully Big Lots will start selling these again or find a crate full of them and ship them all to my store because I would definitely stock up on this. It is the perfect makeup cleanser because it comes out in a foam, which I love. I just wish that the pump wasn't so hard.
NEUTROGENA Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
This is one of the best eye makeup removers that I have tried. But keep in mind, I haven't tried many. LOL I always use this whenever I wear waterproof mascara. I have tried the Target version as well, which is very comparable to this but since these were on clearance, I bought this instead since it was cheaper.

FACE PRODUCTS:
MAYBELLINE Dream Mousse Concealer "Light"
I love this concealer so much and wish that Maybelline hadn't discontinued this. I actually have one more left, which I am slowly using up. I love this concealer for my under eye area. It is just so creamy and easy to blend. I wish I had actually bought more of these to keep as back-ups but oh well.
ALMAY Clear Complexion Makeup "Beige"
I love this foundation! This was my last one in the old packaging and now I am currently using up the ones in the new packaging. I love the new packaging because it has a pump whereas this one doesn't. This foundation is perfect for my skin. It never breaks me out and it doesn't irritate my skin. Plus whenever I breakout from wearing other foundations, I would always go back to this one and my pimples would get less irritated and go away nicely. I just love this so much and don't understand why people don't talk about it.
LANCOME Teint Idole Utra
This was my first ever high-end foundation (well not this bottle since I repurchased). This was probably my second or third repurchase of this. Sadly, I just found out that this was discontinued. I really liked this Lancome foundation and might actually try out other Lancome foundations. If there is one that you would recommend, definitely let me know and I will go get my shade matched and ask for a sample.
YES TO Tomatoes Clear Skin Daily Balancing Moisturizer
I love this moisturizer so much. I finished it last year so recently I have been using my Ponds as my day cream and my Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream for night. I actually have a back-up of this but I won't be using it until I finish my Ponds cream. This moisturizer smells so good and feel so smooth onto my skin. I don't know if it did anything to clear up my skin but it sure didn't irritate it.

EYES PRODUCTS:
MODEL21 Fashion Lashes
I love this brand of false lashes! They are a bit long so I always have to cut the ends, which is fine since I tend to cut my other lashes from other brands as well. These come with 10 pairs in each box and are really inexpensive. I know that some Asian beauty stores sells a box for $6 and the Model21 website sells at for around that price too, depending on the style but I always buy them straight from the source in Vietnam. They are so cheap in Vietnam since they are made over there. I can buy like 4 packs for $6, depending on where I buy them in Vietnam.
ALMAY Intence i-Color Mascara
I don't really like this mascara that much. Its a bit on the dry side so I feel like it goes bad quickly. I tend to like mascaras on the wet side because I feel like they apply better. Since its on the dry side, it tends to clump easy which I don't like either. I will definitely not be repurchasing this mascara again, which is sad since I have two more of these left because they were on sale when I first bought them. LOL *Shake my head*

LIPS PRODUCTS:
LYPSYL Intense Protection LypMoisturizer
Oh my goodness! I love this stuff and was so lucky to have gotten this in one of my Influenster VoxBoxes. I actually wish that I could get the chance to get another VoxBox since I love trying and reviewing products that I haven't tried yet. I am not going to talk much about this since I already have a review on this.
To check out my review: CLICK HERE
FRESH Sugar Lip Balm
I got this as a birthday gift from Sephora. I actually like this a lot and was glad to get the chance to try out a high-end lip balm but as much as I like it, I won't be purchasing it because of this high price. I think the actual price for a full size is around $18-$22. I can't remember the exact price. All I know is that its just way too much to pay for a lip balm, no matter how good and moisturizing it is.
NYC Liquid LipShine Lip Gloss "Nude York City"
I actually received this in my 2011 Holiday VoxBox from Influenster and was happy that I finished this last year. I think I had actually finished this in the beginning of 2012 but thought I had threw it out so I didn't talk about it until I found it in the back of my collection. This is actually a really nice nude lip gloss with shimmer. It smells so good and stays on my lips, which I really like from a lip gloss. Plus its not expensive either.
To check out my review with swatches: CLICK HERE
LIP VITAMINS Lip Butter
This was the first lip butter that I had tried, except for the Revlon Lip Butters but I wouldn't really classify those as full on lip butters. I love the smell of this and its so moisturizing on my lips. I think i bought this on clearance for $1 at Sally's. I would probably repurchase this but haven't yet because I don't usually shop at Sally's.
NYC Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss "Park Ave Pink
This was actually not bad of a lipgloss. Sadly they are discontinued but I have spotted some at my Dollar Tree at random times so if you ever wanted to get your hands on it, you could try looking there. As much as I like this, I don't really like the packaging because its so long and a bit flimsy. I wish that they would have just packaged it in your typical doe foot applicator because I feel like that would be more sturdier to carry in my purse.
TOO FACED Glamour Gloss "Barely Legal"
I remember actually loving this lip gloss when I first tried it but then after a few weeks, my lips couldn't take it anymore. Its actually a plumping lip gloss so it tingles your lips. For some, after a couple of weeks of wearing it, it just started to feel like it was burning my lips. The tingle just increased in volume and I couldn't take it anymore. I still tried to use it all up because it was an expensive lip gloss but I was glad to finish it all up. I definitely won't be buying any of these anymore. I heard that these were discontinued and hard to find (but I am not sure about that) but I remember seeing these in the sale section on the Too Faced website.
VASELINE Lip Therapy "Original"
I love this stuff. I just wish that they had made these in a tube package because I would definitely stock up on them. Also can anyone please tell me if the Vaseline is the same as the Vaseline in the big jars because if they are, I would just rather buy that than pay around $3 for this little jar when I could pay $1 more for the huge jar of Vaseline. I was going to try that but I wasn't sure if the ingredients are the same and whether the big jar of Vaseline is safe for the lips. Either way, I just love how this keeps my lips moisturized throughout the night and day. The only thing that I don't really like about this is the packaging because I hate having to stick my fingers in there to get product.

LEGS PRODUCTS:
SALLY HANSEN Airbrush Legs "Tan Glow"
I love this for my legs. I go through a whole bottle of this for the summer. Its the best holy grail product for my legs. I just love the golden tan glow that it gives to my legs. I have white legs and no matter what I do, they just don't tan so I love how I can just apply this and show off my legs. It covers up all my imperfections and stays on all day. Sally Hansen also recently came out with this but in liquid form, which I can't wait to try soon.
If you haven't seen it yet, you can check out my SPOTTED post: CLICK HERE

So those are all the products that I finished! I am so happy but sort of wish that most of them would be makeup. LOL I think its going to be a while before you guys start seeing finished eye shadows and blushes in my empties post. Lets just wish that its not that far away in the future. Let me know if you guys finished any of your products lately and whether you would repurchase or not. I would love to know!

Have you finished any products lately?
Have you tried any of these products featured in this post?

Merona "Magee" Teal Heels

Hey everyone! Oh my goodness, I was just at Target last week and was walking through the shoe aisles when out of the corner of my eyes, I saw something catch my attention! I looked to see what was catching my eye when I spotted these gorgeous heels! These are the Merona "Magee" Teal Heels and they are originally priced at $29.99 plus tax. When I saw these, I knew that I had to have them! They are just so pretty! Plus when I tried them on in the store, they are so comfortable and I guess thats because they have a cushioned foot bed. These run in many sizes starting at 5 1/2, 6, 6 1/2, 7, 7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, 9, 9 1/2, 10, and size 11. You can buy these online and instore but its better to buy instore so you could try them on. These are just great to wear for the spring and the summer or as a pop of color in the winter when you are wearing all black to keep comfy and warm during those cold days. What do you guys think?

QUESTIONS:
Have you seen these Magee heels?
What do you think about these?
Would you buy these?

Spotted: Sinful Colors Sinfully Magnetic Snakeskin

Hey everyone! Yes, another collection from Sinful Colors! Plus another brand has done it again and came out with their own line of magnetic polishes. I am surprised that so many drugstore brands are coming out with magnetic polishes recently, like Revlon (which you can CLICK HERE to see their new magnetic polishes) when in my opinion, the whole magnetic trend is over. I am sure that some of you guys agree with me about that.

Anyways, this new display that I spotted was the Sinful Colors Sinfully Magnetic Snakeskin collection. What makes this collection really interesting is that the magnetic design is somewhat like a snakeskin print so if you are into those designs, you should check this collection out. These polishes are a bit pricier than the regular Sinful Colors polishes. These are $4.99 each instead of $1.99 each. All of these are new shades and there are eight polishes in this collection.

QUESTIONS:
Are you guys still loving the magnetic trend?
What do you guys think about these polishes?
Is there one from this collection that you would get your hands on?

Spotted: Revlon Spellbound Collection

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know about a collection that I recently spotted at my CVS. It was my first time seeing this collection but I have heard about it before. Usually the stores in my area are pretty slow at bringing out new displays, except for my Walgreens store but recently, that Walgreens store has only been bringing out new displays for body washes and hair products. Bummer! LOL At least, I was able to spot some new displays at my CVS store.

This time, I spotted the new Revlon Spellbound Top Speed nail polish collection. Revlon describes these polishes as "hypnotizing fx for nails," according to the display. There are eight polishes in this display and two of them are glitter fx top coats:
  • ◊ Charmed
  • ◊ Crystal Glow
  • ◊ Essence
  • ◊ Superstitious
  • ◊ Black Magic
  • ◊ Spirit
  • ◊ Hearts of Gold FX
  • ◊ Celestial FX

I have to admit, that I am definitely liking how the FX top coats look. Hearts of Gold has glitter hearts with small gold glitter while Celestial has star glitters with small silver glitters. Both are very pretty. If I was a huge fan of big glitter, I would definitely get these but usually they are hard to get out of the bottle and place onto the nail. Each polish costs $6.29, which isn't that bad compared to their magnetic polishes, which are around $10 each. Crazy! QUESTIONS: Have you spotted this display yet? Which FX top coat would you get, if any?

Lips Of The Day 2/15/13

Hey everyone! Today, I decided to go all natural with my FOTD and whats more perfect and goes with a natural look than wearing pink lipstick. I just love wearing pink lip shades for everyday because pink shades aren't high maintenance like red lipsticks are and doesn't require a lot of time looking in the mirror to make sure there is no bleeding. The only thing that you have to watch for is to make sure that you have no lipstick on your teeth throughout the day. LOL If you have seen my lipstick collection, then you would know that I have a ton of different pink lipsticks. What can I say? I just love all different shades of pink! Usually whenever I am debating on which pink to wear, I would go with one of my no fail, favorite pink lipsticks, which is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick "006 Pink Blush" and because I wanted to try out some of my new lipglosses, I picked out Tarte Lip Gloss "Mel". I just love how both of these look on my lips. Sorry if they look a bit dark in my swatches but the color that you see on my lips is true to color. Both products are true to their color when they are in their packaging as well, which is a somewhat baby pink shade. Overall, I love wearing both of these shades together!

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried any of these products before?

Spotted: Revlon Star Attraction Magnetic Style Collection

Hey everyone! Yes, Revlon did it again! They came out with another collection and this time it's nail polishes! If you have been meaning or wanting to try out the magnetic nails trend, then this collection is right for you! Keep in mind, that these polishes are more pricey than high end polishes, which is crazy because I don't really see people wanting to spend $10.49 for a drugstore polish. What about you guys? Would you guys purchase a drugstore brand polish for over $10?

So far, there are five shades in this collection. I don't know if they are going to come out with more shades or different magnet styles or if this is a limited edition collection. The five shades are:
  • Pop Star
  • Starry Eyed
  • Star Crush
  • Star Watch
  • Reality Star

All of these polishes have the same design, which is a star. Hence all the names have the word star in them. The magnet is on the top of the cap, which might be a bit hard to use because I know that with magnetic polishes, you would have to work very fast. Definitely let me know what you guys think about these new polishes from Revlon and what you guys think about the prices.

Spotted: Sinful Colors Sugar Rush

Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you guys a new display that I spotted at my Walgreens! If you are a fan of pastel colors, then you might just love the shades in the Sinful Colors Sugar Rush collection. There are eights shades in the collection but there was one shade that I remember was part of a previous collection, which was Unicorn, the light yellow polish. The other seven shades are new, to my knowledge.

In this collection, the shades are:
  • 1170 Sugar N Spice
  • 953 Unicorn
  • 1172 Cotton Candy
  • 1174 Candy Coated
  • 1180 Sweet Tooth
  • 1169 Sugar Rush
  • 1171 Sweet Nothing
  • 1173 Orange Cream

Let me just say, that I am loving the names, with the exception of Unicorn. I mean Unicorn is still a cute name but its not something that sounds yummy. Haha! Definitely let me know if you have spotted this new collection at your Walgreens. Plus if you love pastel shades, which polish would you be getting. I am actually loving all the shades in this collection and think that they will all look gorgeous for the Spring. Definitely let me know what you guys think!
