CVS Haul (Feat. Almay & Milani)

Hey everyone! Yes, I hauled some Almay products again! Actually don't be surprised if you actually see more Almay products again. I am actually running low on my Almay concealer so I have been buying back-ups of it. Its a good concealer that covers well and doesn't break me out or irritate any of my blemishes. This haul was actually bought a few weeks ago when both Almay and Milani products were BOGO 50% off. I actually thought that it was a good deal (for me) since I need another back-up of the concealer and because I have been wanting to try my hand at a couple of liquid eyeliners. Milani is pretty well known for their pigmented eyeliners so I knew that I had to try a couple. Plus since Almay was on sale as well, I thought I might as well give some of their liquid eyeliners a try as well.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Almay Clear Complexion Concealer "200 Light/Medium" (X2)
I really love this concealer. I already have one that I am almost running out of. I will probably be cutting the one that I am using right now in half to make sure I can get every last product out before I have to throw it away. This is actually the one concealer that doesn't irritate my pimples when I cover them up with this. It is a bit light coverage but thats fine. Its supposed to "help clear and prevent acne blemishes", according to the actual packaging because it contains 1.08% salicylic acid. This actually the one product (well this and the Almay Clear Complexion liquid foundation) that made me want to try out other Almay products.

Almay Liquid Eyeliners "222 Brown" & "221 Black"
I actually never tried any of Almay liquid eyeliners before and haven't heard any reviews about them so I thought I might as well try them out for myself. Plus since I don't have much experience with liquid liners, I thought I might as well try ones with different applicators. This one claims to last up to 16 hours, hypoallergenic, and water-resistant. Plus it comes in a little inkwell "pot" where the tip is the actual brush applicator. To get product onto the applicator, you just shake the whole product to get fresh color each time. You can get two different types of lines with this applicator, you can lightly apply it for a fine line or use a firmer touch for a bolder line.

Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner "01 Black Vinyl" & "05 Sparkling Turquoise"
I actually never tried these eyeliners out before but I have heard a couple of good things about them. I was just going to buy two colorful eyeliners to use in the summer as a pop of color for the eyes but decided to just get one color and one plain black for everyday use, in case I end up liking it. These eyeliners claim to be waterproof and provide intense color with an ultrafine felt-tip applicator. According to the packaging, they are "long-lasting and smudge-proof with ultrafine, felt-tip applicator for easy application." Hopefully the black eyeliner is matte but if it isn't, I can probably just set it with a matte eyeshadow for that matte eyeliner look. I actually can't wait to wear Sparkling Turquoise in the summer because it looks like it will be a gorgeous pop of color with neutral eye looks. So that is all that I bought at CVS! I actually can't wait to try out all the eyeliners.

So far, I have already tried the Almay liquid eyeliner in black and I am still trying to get used to applying it. If you would like to see a review on any of these products, let me know and when I give them a try, I will post one! Also please let me know if you have tried any of these products and what you thought about them. Plus if you have any recommendations for the perfect liquid eyeliner for beginners, please comment before but I would love to know!

My Target Haul (Feat. Nail Polishes)

Hey everyone! Whoa, its been a while since I actually hauled polishes at Target. I usually don't buy polishes from Target because I feel like I can get them cheaper somewhere else, especially when they are on sale and if I have coupons. I know that Target tends to price drugstore brand products cheaper than say CVS or Walgreens but you don't really see BOGO sales at Target. The only time where I would make an exception for Target is when they start clearancing some of their nail polishes. Now you know when I know that a store is starting to clearance their products, I am definitely going to make sure that I bring my coupons along. LOL If you don't use coupons, you should definitely consider it because sometimes you can get an item for free or for little to nothing. I was actually lucky with this purchase because I got all these items for little to nothing.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Polishes "901 Golden Conduct" & "907 Electric Emerald"
I actually never tried magnetic polishes from Sally Hansen before and didn't plan on buying any since I wasn't really into the whole magnetic trend to begin with. Plus I already have a few magnetic polishes in my collection that are collecting dust but when I saw these on clearance and had coupons on them, I picked them up. The reason why I bought these was because with my coupons, they were free! The coupons that I had had overage so I didn't even have to pay tax meaning FREE!! They didn't have much of a color option so I took the last two shades that they had. I will probably be keeping these for a future blog giveaway, so make sure to follow my blog. Golden Conduct looks like a golden copper shade and Electric Emerald looks like a military green.

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips "420 Sweet Tart-Am" (X2)
I actually didn't plan on buying these but since they were on clearance and I had coupons as well, I knew that it was going to be a great deal. These were on clearance for $2.10 plus tax and I had $2.50 off coupons so basically these had overage, which paid my tax for me. With my coupons, I got these for FREE!! This was actually the only design that they had on clearance, which was fine with me because its a cute design. The design actually reminds me of those checkered sweaters. These comes with 16 nail polish strips, cuticle stick, mini nail file, and a buffer. They pretty much give you everything you need to apply these onto your nails.

So those are all the items that I bought on my Target shopping. I actually bought other items as well but they were just groceries so I am not going to show those here. If you have any questions about my haul, definitely feel free to ask! Plus make sure to follow my blog since I might be saving these products for a future blog giveaway. If you have tried any of these products, definitely let me know what you think about them and whether you like them or not. I would love to hear your opinions!

QUESTIONS:
Do you like shopping at Target?
Have you tried any of these products before?
Do you coupon?

EOTD: Mint Eye Look (Using Lorac Mint Edition Palette)

Hey everyone! This is actually an eye look that I did a while back. I think it was around when Lorac Cosmetics was having a contest where people would send in pictures whenever they spotted the color mint. Sadly I didn't win with any of entries. Oh well, there is always a next time with other contests. LOL Anyways because of the contest, I wanted to do a mint eye look. I have never worn the color mint on my eyes before and I actually quite look it. I was afraid that it wasn't going to be so wearable but it actually came out pretty natural. You can probably even wear this eye look to work too but probably without the blue liner on your waterline.

I was so excited when I created this eye look because it was the first time where I used my Lorac Mint Edition palette. The whole thing that made me want the palette was the mint shadow. I actually wish that this palette had the shades names on the bottom like their other palettes. It would be so much easier to have the names of the shadows when talking about them. Plus there are some shades that I would love to purchase, if I ever do hit pan and finish them.

EYE PRODUCTS USED:
Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer
I love priming my eyes with this primer. I love the packaging. It keeps the product more sanitary since you squeeze the primer out whether than using a wand or your fingers.
Lorac Mint Edition palette
I used the third shade (mint) all over my lid. Then I used the first shadow (light cream) to blend everything and applied some onto the brow bone as a highlight.
Ulta Kohl Eye Liner "Halo"
I really like this eye liner. I always use it on the inner corner to my eyes to give them that more brighten, wide awake look. Its a frosty white but I applied some of the cream shade from the palette on top to set it.
Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara "Black"
I really like this mascara. It gives my lashes volume but it doesn't lengthen them that much, which sucks a bit but that is fine.
Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara "Blackest Black"
I bought this mainly for the summer for those beach days but have been using it mainly for my lower lashes since its a waterproof mascara. It doesn't clump but just gives me volume. It does smudge sometimes but not always, which is weird.
ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit "Dark"
I love this kit for eyebrows. I think this is like my 6th repurchase of it. It has everything I need: mini brush, brow wax, and a brow powder! Plus the brow wax doesn't have any red undertone to it like the Revlon BrowFantasy brow gel and pencil does.
Cargo Eyeliner "Blue"
For some reason, the blue is coming out more vibrant in the pictures but in person, its a more darker blue. I just love the look of having mint all over the lid and then having a bold blue on the waterline as a contrast.
ELF Natural False Eye Lashes
I don't really like these false lashes that much but I am trying to use them up since I bought a couple. The band is too flexible and is hard for my apply. I wouldn't repurchase again.

So those are all the products that I used to create this mint eye look. Its super simple and you could basically use any mint shade, if you don't have the Lorac Mint Edition palette. There are some drugstore brands that have mint shades, like Wet N Wild. I think one of their new limited edition ColorIcon palettes has a mint shade in it. I hope you guys liked it even though its so simple but those are the types of eye looks that I typically wear.

QUESTIONS:
Do you like wearing mint shades?

Sallys Beauty Haul

Hey everyone! A while back, Sallys Beauty had a great sale and of course, you know with sales that I had to check it out to see if they had anything good. I haven't been to a Sallys Beauty in a while and since the employees at my local one are sort of rude, I decided to check out another one further away. I am so glad that I did because the employees there were so nice! They bought out a box for me and took out all the nail polishes to see if I was interested in any since they weren't done bringing everything out. They were just really friendly and we had a great time going through everything.

Of course, whenever Sallys has their sales, I always end up buying nail polishes because you can get high-end polishes for great prices. I only walked out with three items and one of them is either for a friend or a future giveaway on my blog. I am not sure yet. I actually have a bunch of products saved for a future blog giveaway so make sure to follow my blog, if you are interested.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Orly The Original French Manicure Neon FX Kit
I think this set came out a while back because the box that it came in was pretty beat up but I didn't care. I have been meaning to pick up some Orly polishes to try out for a while now since I have been hearing so many great things about them. I actually only have one Orly product in my whole collection (before this purchase) and that was my Orly Top2Bottom polish. I actually only paid about $2 plus tax for this kit! It actually comes with three polishes, white tip guides, and a look book with tutorials. The polishes that came with this kit are two polishes in "White Tips" and "Oh Cabana Boy" and the Top2Bottom Basecoat & Topcoat All-In-One. Its basically a complete kit for salon results at home.

ColorClub Winter Affair Set (X2)
This is actually my first time buying ColorClub polishes. I have always heard and seen people haul tons of polishes from this brand and am finally glad that I got a set to try out. I actually don't remember how much I paid for this set but I do remember that it was a worth it purchase. I actually think this set came out either last holiday or in 2011 but I am not sure. What surprised me about this set was that the polishes claim to be scented, which will be fun to try out. It comes with four mini polishes so its a great set for me since I get to try out different shades from this brand. I actually don't know the shades of these polishes since the minis don't have name stickers on them and it didn't say on the actual packaging that they came in but I can find out, if you are curious. This set comes with 2 shimmery polishes, 1 shimmery duo-chrome, and a flakie top coat. The flakie top coat actually reminds me a bit of China Glaze "Luxe & Lush" from the Hunger Games collection. Let me know if you guys think so as well.

So that is all that I bought from Sallys Beauty! I actually can't wait to try out both sets, especially the Orly kit because it looks like a great kit for doing french manicures. Plus the look book that it came with has some nice tutorials for creating other nail looks as well s that might be interesting. I don't know if I am going to do a post with swatches on these since they were limited edition sets that came out a while back and would probably be hard to get a hold of now. Let me know what you guys think. I actually hope that Sallys has this sale again soon because I would love to buy more nail polish sets since they are so great to try out.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever shopped at Sallys Beauty before?
Have you ever tried either Orly or ColorClub polishes?

Swatches: Wet N Wild MegaShield Lip Color SPF 15 "Its A Girl"

Hey everyone! I have been meaning to do this post for a while but I always seem to put it on the back burner. To tell you the truth, I rarely used this lipstick since I bought it. I have been wearing it again these past few days but not enough to do a full on review about it. If you would like to see a review on it, definitely let me know and I will use it more often to get the feel of it. This post is going to be more about the swatches but I will say some things about this lipstick that I know will not change from constant use.

Wet N Wild MegaShield Lip Color SPF 15 "Its A Girl" is a gorgeous bright pink lipstick. It is a bit on the frosty side so if you are not a fan of lipsticks with frosty finishes, you might not like this shade. I am not usually a fan of frosty lipstick shades but I really like how this looks on my lips. Its a creamy lipstick and glides easily onto the lips. Its pretty pigmented as well. With this lipstick, I just usually apply one to two coats (depending on how intense I want the color to be) on my lips.

One thing that I do have to say about this lipstick is that I hate how the lipstick doesn't go all the way down in the tube. I always have to be careful when putting the cap back on otherwise I might nick the actual lipstick. You can see in one of the pictures how the actual lipstick sticks out a bit. I also don't really like how after you remove the big Drug Facts sticker, the actual lipstick tube has these ridges. I wish that they had made the tube smooth because I don't like the feel of all the ridges. Let me know if you feel the same way too.

QUESTIONS:
Have you tried the WnW MegaShield lipsticks?

BzzCampaign: Got2B POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a real quick post to show you guys a preview of what I got from BzzAgent to review. In case, you didn't know already, I am a BzzAgent and sometimes I do get free products to test out and review. I don't get paid to talk about these products. All opinions are my honest opinions. Sorry, I just wanted to get that out there, just in case and for any new members. I actually just got this in the mail yesterday and I am so excited to test it out. I know it isn't makeup (and I love makeup) but trying out new hair products can be fun too.

I was actually lucky enough to get invited into another campaign, which was to try and review the Got2B POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder. I remember being on the search for great volumizing products but actually gave up a few years ago on finding that one perfect product so when I got a chance to try out this product, I took the dive. The campaign actually came with three (one for me to try and review) full size products. I have been thinking about what to two with the other two products, whether I should just give them to a friend and/or family member or maybe save them for a future giveaway. What do you guys think?

I actually haven't tried this product yet but I will give it a shot tomorrow to see if it really gives my hair any volume since I have flat, Asian hair. According to the packaging, you can "change the game of how you style with got2b POWDER'ful volumizing styling powder and take your volume to new heights! Join the powder revolution with this innovative, weightless formula that texturizes your hair to create maximum volume at the roots. Apply anytime, anywhere for an instant transformation!"

Please let me whether you have ever tried this product before and what you think about it. I would love to know your thoughts on it. Plus let me know what you would like me to talk about in my review, if you have never tried it before.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried any got2b products before?

Haul : Almay Mascaras

Hey everyone! I just got back from Walgreens and of course had to bring back some goodies home with me. I had a manufacturer coupon for $5/2 Almay products! In my opinion, that is definitely a high value coupon. Usually for makeup, you would just see $1/1 coupons so I knew that I had to use the $5/2 coupon. I didn't really know what I wanted from Almay. I was thinking about buying some eyeshadows but since I realized how big my eyeshadow collection is, I decided that I should get something else. It took me a while to realize what I wanted so I just decided to go with a product that I have been wanting to try for months.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Almay Get Up & Grow Mascara
I have been wanting to try this mascara for the longest! I don't know why I never bought it before. It could be because I have so many unopened mascaras in my collection right now that its ridiculous how many I have but since I had a really good coupon for it, I decided to buy it. According to the packaging, this mascara claims to give you "visibly longer, stronger lashes." I have been hearing so much about this mascara, especially from EmilyNoel83 in her videos. Hopefully, it will work out for my short Asian lashes. I can't wait to try this but as of right now, I have so many other mascaras in my collection that I need to use first. This mascara was $8.99 plus tax.

Almay Triple Effect Mascara
I think this is a new mascara that Almay recently came out a few months ago. I am not sure but when I bought it, it was on a display with all the other new products in the front of the store. This mascara was actually $8.99 plus tax but it rang up as $9.99 plus tax. Good think that I caught it before I turned on my car. I had to go back in and get some of my money back. It took such a long time for them to figure out how to correct the transaction. At the end, I got my money back so I am happy. According to the packaging, this mascara claims to give you "fuller, longer, and curvier lashes." I just bought this mascara on a whim. I haven't heard anything about it so hopefully it will work out.

So that is all that I bought on my Walgreens haul. I actually can't wait to try out these mascaras but they are going to the back of my collection until I try the other mascaras that I bought before. If you have tried out these other mascaras, definitely let me know! I was actually a little worried that I wasn't going to post up this haul since I had some trouble finding one of the mascaras. I was freaking out that maybe the cashier accidently didn't put it in my bag but turns out it was just under my car seat. Whew!

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried any of these mascaras before?
Do you have a huge collection of mascaras?

Review & Swatches: Laura Geller Baby Cakes Baked To Go Palette

Hey everyone! I have been so proactive these past few days so I thought since I have been on a kick, I might as well get this post typed up as well. Plus I don't know if this palette is limited edition or not but just in case, I want to get this post up with all the swatches as soon as possible. In case you guys didn't know, I don't have that many Laura Geller products but the ones that I have, I really like. So I was very happy when I got this as a gift. If you would like to see the other gift that I received, you can CLICK HERE. And no, I didn't receive this gift from the company's PR.

Okay, lets move onto the Laura Geller Baby Cakes Baked To Go Palette. It is an Ulta exclusive so you will only be able to buy this from Ulta.com or from Ulta stores. In my opinion, I think its a nice palette that you can bring with you on travels or short vacations since it has pretty much everything that you need for a done face. It also comes with a mini travel size brush. I didn't really use the brush because I actually prefer to use my own face brushes. This palette comes with:
◊ Balance-N-Brighten Foundation "Medium"
◊ Blush-N-Brighten "Pink Buttercream"
◊ Bronze-N-Brighten "Medium"
◊ Baked Marble Eyeshadow "Rome/Milan"

I actually already have two full size compacts of the Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten Foundation "Medium" so I didn't really use the one in this palette that much since I didn't want to mess up the dome shape. LOL I'm actually thinking about selling one of the foundations since I don't think I really need two since I haven't even hit pan on the first one. What do you guys think? Should I sell one or just keep it as a back-up? For me, I can never use this foundation alone because I have so many blemishes on my face that I feel like this foundation can't cover up completely. I still think its a great foundation, especially for those who have flawless skin. Its a good foundation to use whenever you don't have enough time to apply your liquid foundation or when you just want something thats quick. Since I don't use this foundation by itself, I do like using it as a setting powder to set my liquid foundations when I feel like I need that extra coverage. If you want to see a review and swatches on this, you can CLICK HERE.

Okay, onto the blush! Can I just say how much I love this blush! It is just the perfect color for my cheeks and brightens up my whole face. Thats probably why Laura Geller called it "Blush-N-Brighten" duh! LOL According to Laura Geller's website, "Pink Buttercream is the perfect petal hue swirled with copper and gold flecks. It leaves cheeks rosy and glowing." All I know is that I would totally buy the full size of this blush! I would probably end up wearing it everyday and thats how much I love it. If you are not a fan of shimmery blushes, you might not like this but come on, look at that gorgeous color!

This was actually my first time trying out a bronzer from Laura Geller. I have heard lot of great things about her bronzers, especially her baked body bronzer. According to Laura Geller, "Bronze-N-Brighten corrects unevenness and helps you achieve a flawless-looking, radiant complexion. A soft powder designed to provide a beautiful, lightly-toasted finish with a matte glow." I really like how this bronzer looks on my skin because it looks so natural. If you haven't tried this bronzer before, you should give this a try.

Now let's talk about the baked marble eyeshadow in Rome/Milan! I don't really have that much experience with baked eyeshadows so I am not going to see too much about this, except that I really love the colors included in this palette. My favorite out of the two would definitely have to be Milan! Its just a gorgeous outer corner shade when its intensified or you can sheer it out and wear it all over the lid.

I actually don't remember the exact price of this palette but I think it was $42 plus tax or somewhere under $49 plus tax. I know that some of you might think thats pretty pricey for this palette since none of the products are full size but there are a ton of great products in this palette like the blush, my favorite! Plus these products will last you a while since they are all pigmented and you only need to apply a little. If you have this product, definitely let me know what you think because I would love to hear your opinions!

QUESTIONS:
Have you tried any Laura Geller products?
If you have this palette, what do you think about it?
Don't you guys just agree how gorgeous Pink Buttercream is?
