Stila Cosmetics Haul

Hey everyone! I actually just got my package about two weeks ago and just had the time to type everything up. If you didn't know, Stila Cosmetics had a sale on their website where everything was 50% off!! Of course, I couldn't pass that up but I have to admit, I checked out the sale like about 4 times before I just told myself to go ahead and buy it. Since the sale also included their clearance items, I knew that I had to check that out first. I arrived to the sale a bit late and most of the items were already sold out like the lip gloss sets and their mini eyeshadow palettes but thats fine. I know that I sort of went overboard with the sale but I was able to get another discount additional to the 50% off so I knew that I had to buy.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Stila In The Know Palette
Stila In The Moment Palette
I was actually going to buy the palette with all the neutral shades but I figured that I already have other great neutral, everyday palettes (like Naked, Naked 2, and Lorac Pro) so I decided to pick up two other palettes instead. In The Know palette is a great palette for those who love matte shadows since this palette has only matte shades. In The Moment is a neutral palette but it contains purple shades as well and I have been trying to wear more purple eye looks since purple is supposed to enhance brown eyes. Both palettes come with an eyeliner and a mini book to recreate certain looks. I got such a great deal on these two that I wish I had bought all their In The.. eyeshadow palettes.

Stila Positively Pink Set (x2)
This set was such a great deal that I had to buy two. I bought it intentionly to give to my sister but she told me that she "doesn't wear makeup anymore" so I didn't tell her that I bought something for her. Whats the point, right? This set is nice because $1 from each purchase will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Each set comes with a a multi-colored blush and a lip glaze in Splendor. Splendor is a pink lip gloss with shimmers. I really like how the blush looks in the pan because it has ribbons printed all over it.

Stila Lip Glaze Trio "Road Trip"
This set looks like it would be perfect for the spring and the summer. It contains lip glosses in shades of pinks and corals. I know that I already have tons of lip products but I just couldn't pass this set up because of the colors and because the price was just too good to ignore.
Stila Long Wear Lip Liner Set
This is a great set, especially for those who love matte lip liners. The set comes with Aspiring, Passionate, Charming, and Obsessed. All four shades look gorgeous and great for any lip look. I am so excited to try out this set since I don't own many lip liners in my collection so its nice to branch out. I was actually hoping that these liners were retractable ones but they are pencils that need to be sharpen every once in while. Hopefully these are creamy and easy to apply without hassle since pencil liners tend to be a bit dry and need tugging.
Stila Long Wear Lip Liner "Charming"
Since I didn't want to pay for shipping, I decided to add this lip liner to my cart. I know that the lip liner set already comes with Charming but it was such a pretty shade (from all the online swatches) that I might as well get another since I might be using this shade up the most. Its a gorgeous plumy pink so it will be great for both pink and purple lip looks.

Stila Prime Pot "Caramel"
I never tried any prime pots or the painterly paint posts from MAC so I figured I might as well get this to try out since its somewhat the same concept. If you don't know what a prime pot, its basically an eyeshadow primer but in pot packaging with a creamy, whipped texture. I heard you could also use these as a concealer for your lids. I wouldn't use it as a concealer for my lids but just as an eyeshadow primer since its a tad bit dark for my skintone.
Stila All Over Shimmer Duo "Kitten"
I have so much about Stila Kitten but in the eyeshadow form and have always thought about getting it. Since I don't really like having a bunch of single eyeshadows around, I decided to get Kitten in this form since I love blushes and highlighters. I have heard a lot of people really liking this duo so I knew that I had to get it, especially since I knew that I would never pay full price for this since it is a bit pricey (in my opinion) for a small blush/highlighter.
Stila One Step Foundation "Fair"
Oh my goodness, this is so small. As you can see in the picture, I compared it to my L'Oreal True Match Lumi foundation. Foundations are usually 1.0 fl. oz but this one is only half of that so I was a bit disappointed but it was super cheap anyways so I don't mind as much since I paid less than what i would pay for a drugstore foundation. I haven't tried this one yet but I am hoping that I like it, especially since I bought this in the clearance section.

SAMPLES:
Stila Forever Your Curl Curl Memory Mascara
This is actually a deluxe size sample that I got with a purchase of $50. I can't complain, I really like getting the chance to try out different mascaras, especially when they are high-end brands.
Stila Skincare Face The Day Multi-Use Moisturizing Gel Cream
Stila Skincare Coming Clean Revitalizing Gel Cleanser
I never knew that Stila had skincare products so it would be nice to try these two skincare samples out. These are pretty small samples so I would probably only be able to get two uses of these. Hopefully those two uses will be able to help me decide whether I end up liking these or not.
Stila Sample Cards
I was surprised that I got four of these in my packaging. They are all samples for the same products but in different shades, which is nice since usually you don't always get the right shades so its nice to be able to try out all the shades. The samples come in Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm, Stay All Day Foundation, and Stay All Day Concealer. I actually can't wait to try these out. I got them is shades: light, medium, warm, and deep. I will definitely be giving away warm and deep away or maybe keep them around for halloween looks. LOL

So those are all the products that I bought and for for free with purchase. I actually can't wait to try everything out soon and actually wish I had bought some more to either give away to friends or to keep for future giveaways on my blog. If you would like to see a review on a certain product, please comment below and let me know. Also if you have tried any of these products before, please let me know because I would love to know your thoughts on these products.

The Beauty Box Haul (Feat. Beauty Blenders)

Hey everyone! If you didn't know, a website called The Beauty Box is having a sale where everything sitewide is 40% off. They sell a lot of high-end brands and have products ranging from makeup, skincare, to hair care. They just have a ton of products. They also have a store in Studio City, CA but the sale only applies to their online store. While browsing through their website, http://thebeautybox.com I was in awe at all the products that they carried. One particular product that I was most excited to buy was the Beauty Blenders.

I bought the Beauty Blender set, which comes with two beauty blenders. The set was regular priced at $28.95 but with the 40% off sale, they ended up being around $41 with tax and shipping included. Shipping was $5.95 but it was super fast. I guess because the store (or warehouse) is in CA too since it only took about 2 days to get to me. I was so excited when I got them in the mail and instantly took one out to try. I can actually say now I know what all the hype is because these are fantastic, way better than the dupes that I have bought and tried. The only con that I can say, so far, is that I hate how dirty it gets so fast. My foundation already stained it right from the first use and I couldn't get it all clean no matter how hard I tried to wash it off. I just wish that it could stay pink and clean after each use. If you would like to see a review on these and maybe a comparison against the Essence of Beauty one, please let me know.

I bought two sets because I bought one for a friend as a gift, which she has already started using and loving as well. Aren't I just the nicest friend? LOL The package also came with two samples, which were the Orlane Paris Extreme Line-Reducing Re-Plumping Cream. I was surprised that they gave samples but am happy that they do! I kept one for myself and gave the other sample to my friend along with the other Beauty Blender set.

I was actually shocked that they sold products like the Clarisonic, Beauty Blenders, Anatasia, Kevyn Aucoin, Butter London, Deborah Lippman, and so many other brands! All for 40% off retail price right now for a limited time. If you guys are interested, I highly suggest you go and check out the site now, especially since things are starting to sell out quickly. Also, the code to get 40% off sitewide is "luckybreaks2". I don't know how long the sale is going to last before, so make sure to buy before its over.

Spotted: Almay Smart Shade CC Cream Correctors (NEW)

Hey everyone! Oh wow, so many makeup brands are coming out with their own versions of a CC cream. I remember when BB creams were all the range and so many high-end and drugstore brands were trying to dupe the Asian BB creams but I guess now the beauty world is moving onto CC creams and now Almay has recently released their own versions. They came out with the actual CC creams foundations and powders in their new Almay Smart Shade CC Cream Correctors products. There are three shades for the actual CC creams: Light, Light/Medium, and Medium. I don't know if they are going to come out with more shades later on for dark complexions but I will try to let you guys know, if I ever find out.

If you have tried any CC creams, please comment below letting me know if you can feel any difference with application and formula with CC creams and BB creams. I would love to know what are your thoughts on CC creams and whether you think they are any good. Plus if you guys have any brand recomendations, I would love to know as well.

Spotted: Almay Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms (NEW)

Hey everyone! Here is another product that I spotted on my shopping trip at a RiteAid. I think I spotted about four new displays, well new to me and this is the second one that I am going to talk to you guys about. I do have to put out there that it was a bit awkard taking pictures of this display since they had a security guard standing by the entrance and all the new makeup displays were placed right in front of him so the whole time, I was taking pictures of the displays, he was watching me like crazy. It felt so arkward but I did it anyways because I am doing it for all you guys, my beautiful followers and all you makeup lovers out there!

Anyways, this display that I am going to talk about is the new Almay Color+Care Liquid Lip Balms. I haven't tried these but I am assuming by the name that these are hybrids of lip glosses and lip balms. These claim to be "penetrating conditioners" with "2x hydration" and shine according to the display.

I actually can't wait for these to go on sale so I could try these out. There are a bunch of gorgeous shades and I love how the color range has great shades for all year around. There are nudes, corals, pinks, purples, and red shades. If I had the chance to try some to review, I would definitely pick out a pink, fuschia, and the purple shade! Actually all of them are gorgeous shades so it would probably be hard for me to actually choose, if I was at the store right now.

QUESTIONS:
Have you seen these new Almay Liquid Lip Balms yet?
Do any of the shades interest you?

Spotted: CoverGirl + Olay Eye Rehab CC Cream (NEW)

Hey everyone! I finally had the time to visit a RiteAid recently and oh my goodness, I miss having a RiteAid in my area so much. The reason why I miss them is because they are always the fastest stores to stock up on new product displays. I am a bit sad that the one in my area closed down last year, even though I got such great deals on everything during their store closing sale but I still do wish a RiteAid would open up near my house sometime in the future.

While I was there, I was so happy to have spotted a couple of new displays that haven't showed up at the stores in my area. Dang, I miss RiteAid. Anyways, one of the new displays that I spotted first is the CoverGirl + Olay Eye Rehab CC Creams. These are new products from CoverGirl + Olay! I think these are meant to replace the Simply Ageless Concealers, in the pot form since I heard that those are getting discontinued but please correct me, if I am wrong. According to the display, these Eye Rehab CC Creams claim to brighten, conceal, and help improve skin tone over time. I do love how there is a raccoon on the display with Ellen since this is supposed to help with dark circles.

I do have to say that the packaging is pretty cute because its small, like a travel size hairspray, if not a little bit shorter. I am not sure if I am going to go out and buy this since I don't really have any problems with dark circles but if you do have dark circles and have tried this so far, please comment below letting us know if it worked out for you and how you feel about the product.

Spotted: Almay Eye Makeup Removers (NEW)

Hey everyone! Here is another new display that I recently spotted at my CVS store. I only spotted two new displays at my CVS store. One of them was the NYC Shattering Spring Savings Collection (which I already did a post on but if you would like to see that display, you can CLICK HERE) and this collection that I am going to talk about is the Almay Eye Makeup Removers. These are new products, recently released from Almay! According to the display you can "take it all off for a smudge-free morning" and say "bye bye, raccoon eyes." These eye makeup removers claim to "gently remove all traces of makeup that soap and water leave behind." Its funny because these claim to be the number one eye makeup remover brand in America yet I mostly hear about Neutrogena's eye makeup removers. If you have tried both, please comment below to let me know which one you like more.

Almay came out with four new eye makeup remover pads. They each have their own purpose, which is nice because if you are looking for a particular eye makeup remover with a certain purpose, you might find the one you want from these new products. Apparently these were Allure Best of Beauty Winner of 2012, which is a big deal. It makes me want to try these sometime. The new eye makeup removers from Almay are:
◊ Oil Free Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads
◊ Soothing & De-Puffing Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads
◊ Lash Care Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads
◊ Longwear & Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Pads

Also in the display were these liquid eye makeup removers, which is great if eye makeup remover pads aren't your thing. I actually tend to favor the liquid eye makeup removers over the saturated pads because I feel like you get more product and you can adjust how much remover you want on the pad. As far as I know, there are only two types of liquid eye makeup removers from Almay in this collection:
◊ Oil Free Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
◊ Longwear & Waterproof Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

If you have tried any of these new products before or any of the current eye makeup removers from Almay, please comment below to let me know your opinions on them. I would love to know if they are any good or not. I do have a deluxe size sample of some Almay Makeup Remover pads but I have yet to try them. I might just bust them out to use them at night since my curiousity is getting the best of me while I am typing up this spotted post.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried any Almay eye makeup remover products?
What is your favorite brand of eye makeup remover?

Spotted: NYC Shattering Spring Collection

Hey everyone! I was just recently at CVS because of their famous CVS Clearance Sale. If you love buying makeup and getting great deals on them, now is the best time, especially if you have coupons. You could get items for little to nothing. I have already bought a bunch of items so definitely expect a haul soon. I am not sure whether I should put all my hauls combined into one post or just do then transaction by transaction. I might separate them but it might get a bit repititive since I did end up buying a couple of the same items since they were such great deals.

Anyways while I was there, I noticed two new displays! One of them was this NYC Shattering Spring Savings Collection. I don't know how long this has been out since the stores in my area tends to be a bit slow at bringing out new prodcts. Also since Summer is pretty much around the corner and this is a Spring collection, it might have been out earlier but this is the first that I have seen this display. According to the display, it includes products for "hot looks at earth shattering low prices."

This collection includes eyeliners, nail polishes, and lipstcks. Plus if you love couponing, there are also coupons on the display. The coupons aren't much but $0.25 savings is better than nothing! I didn't buy anything because I already have a couple of NYC products and they are just okay. The only thing that I haven't tried from NYC from this collection are their lipsticks. Let me know, if you think I should go back and buy a lipstick or two.

QUESTIONS:
Have you seen this collection from NYC at your stores yet?
Do you like NYC products?

Swatches: Sally Hansen Sugar Coat "Cotton Candies"

Hey everyone! Recently, a new nail polish trend has been surfacing. I know that there are a lot of high-end brands out there that have already released their versions but as you know, I am more of a drugstore version when it comes to nail polishes. I think 98% of my polishes are drugstore brands and I am fine with that because a lot of drugstore brands are on par, if not better than high-end brands. I am surprised that I bought this nail polish on a whim because usually I would look for swatches and reviews first but I couldn't help it since I have been wanting to try out this trend for a while now. So when I saw a CVS employee setting up the display, I just had to grab one to try out.

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat "Cotton Candies" is a gorgeous pink. I know that this collection has a mint green, mint blue, black, white, and I think a dark blue shade but I was mostly attracted to the pink. I have had this polish on my nails for three days before it started chipping at the tips. I didn't apply a top coat over it because I heard that when you apply a top coat, the bumps (or texture) starts to disappear. I have to admit, it did feel a bit weird after it dried on my nails. I kept on rubbing my fingers against my nails to feel the texture and checking out the bumps. I didn't like it at first but I got used to it after a couple of hours. It is an interesting texture.

With this nail polish, the directions are easy. I know that some people had a little bit of trouble with the magnetic polishes when they were in trend. With these nail polishes, all you have to do is shake the bottle gently and then apply two thin coats. You will instantly start to see texture in the nail polish once its applied onto your nails.

If you have been curious about trying this nail trend out, you can consider giving these Sally Hansen Sugar Coat polishes a try. They are $5.99 plus tax at my CVS store but prices vary by stores and region. Plus if you buy this week, CVS has a sale where if you spend $10 on Sally Hansen cosmetics (including Sally Hansen nail polishes), you get $5 ECBs back. Thats a pretty good sale, if you wanted to save some money. Plus there are always coupons that you can combine with the sale for even better savings! The sale ends June 1, 2013 if you guys are interested.

QUESTIONS:
Have you spotted these new Sally Hansen Sugar Coat nail polishes at your stores yet?
Have you tried out this trend yet?
What do you think of this trend?

Spotted: CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis

Hey everyone! This is the last new product display that I recently spotted at my CVS store. Just because this is my last display at CVS doesn't mean that there won't be anymore new spotted displays. LOL I had the chance to visit a RiteAid so expect more spotted displays because I am going to try to get them all posted this week. In this post, I am going to show you guys some new nail polishes.

This post is going to be able the new CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis. These are like the usual CoverGirl nail polishes but the only difference with these is that they are the smaller versions. I think these are half the size of the regular CoverGirl nail polishes.

According to the display, these claim to give "exotic color that can last as long as a week." Now that is a big claim since nail polishes tend to chip within a few days. I don't think I have tried any nail polishes that lasts a week on my nails. If you have tried these, definitely let me know what you think.

QUESTIONS:
Have you seen these new mini nail polishes from CoverGirl?

Spotted: CoverGirl LipSlicks Smoochies

Hey everyone! Here is another new product display that I recently spotted at my CVS store. I was surprised when Is saw these since my CVS store isn't the best when it comes to carrying new products. The only reason why I shop there is because the prices are a bit cheaper than the other CVS stores and plus its the closest one to my house. Plus there is always this one nice employee there who always recognizes my brother and I whenever we walk in. She's super nice and lets me know when she is going to put out new products and in return, I let her know which makeup products to buy and get the best deal from. Plus I had some extra coupons this visit and gave her some so she could save some money as well, in case she was interested in buying the products that were on clearance.

Anyways, while I was there, I spotted these new CoverGirl LipSlicks Smoochies. These claim to be "moisturizing color balms" according to the display. I haven't seen any reviews on these yet so I don't know how good these are but I do have to admit, I do like the range of colors that they came out with. Their shade range is perfect for all year around. I don't know much about these but I did notice that some of these balms had a marblized effect, which looked pretty cool.

Spotted: CoverGirl Fire It Up Collection

Hey everyone! I was recently shopping at CVS because of they are having their clearance sale again. I know I told myself that I wasn't going to buy anymore makeup until I finish up a couple of products but I couldn't help it. There was just so many good deals. Plus the whole reason why I haul products is so I could review them here for my blog for all you guys! ;) While I was there, I spotted some displays. I was actually surprised since my CVS store rarely has new makeup displays out. I am not a fan of this CVS store that much since they tend to cover every product with their security stickers. I mean I know its a good thing because it prevents people from stealing products. Plus if people start stealing a bunch of makeup, stores and/or brands will probably start having to raise their prices, which I wouldn't like. The reason why I don't like their csecurity stickers is that they tend to cover everything and it makes it hard for me to either see the color or the shade name. Plus it just looks ugly in pictures. LOL

(UPDATE: I finally found this display at my Ulta without any security stickers covering up the colors! I just wish that it wasn't half empty but better than nothing!)

Anyways, onto the actual spotted post and enough with my rant. Haha! This new display is from CoverGirl Fire It Up. Fame It Out. Collection. This collection features shadow pots, shadow pencils, and their flamed out mascara. Their flamed out shadow pots claim to be "blazing, blendable colors" according to the display. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the shadow pots from this display since they were ENTIRELY covered with their security sticker. You can kind of see how irritating it looks, if you look closely at the first picture showing the whole display. The shadow pots are on the top left of the display. The same was with the shadow pencils. All you could tell were that they were pencils but you couldn't see the colors. Their flamed out shadow pencils claim to be "2-in-1 gel shadow plus liner in hot blendable shades" according to the display.

Last products from this collection are the flamed out mascaras. These mascaras claim to "ignite every lash for bigger, hotter, more flamed out volume" according to the display. They also have the formula in regular and waterproof. The brush is actually pretty interesting since it reminds me of the shape of those water bottles with the filters inside. I think they were called Bobbles? CoverGirl calls this brush the "volume igniter brush," which is pretty interesting name for a mascara brush. I have yet to try this mascara but if you have, please let me know how you feel about the formula and the brush.
