CVS Haul: Better Late Than Never

Hey everyone! This is such an old post. LOL I bought all this stuff during the CVS Clearance Sale in the beginning of the year. I don't know how I forgot to post this haul up but I guess that happens. I won't be going into detail about these products, like how I would usually do but thats mainly because most of these products, I will tend to post a review on. I don't know for sure because I have other posts that I need to get up right away first. Plus it takes a while for me to type up a review and for right now, I just don't have that much time like before. I might just post up short reviews instead but I tend to like going into a lot of detail for my reviews, just because I would want you guys to find them helpful. What do you guys think?

Okay so onto my haul. I only bought a couple of products. All of these were on clearance and I had coupons for some of them plus I think I had a 25% off CVS coupon as well, which made my savings even better. What I bought:
  • Revlon Luxurious Color Smoky Liner & Shadow"006 Black Smoke"
  • Almay Powder Blush "160 Mauve"
  • KISS Nail Dress
  • Maybelline Stylish Smokes Quad "16Q Lavender Smokes"
  • L'Oreal Studio Secrets Anti-Redness Primer
  • CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor "572 Red Affair"

So that is all that I bought a long time ago!! I don't why it was so late but oh well. I hope you guys like this little mini haul. If you have tried any of these products, definitely let me know whether you ended up liking them or not. I would love to know what you guys think about these products!! If you have any questions, let me know and I will try my best. Plus if you would like to see any reviews with swatches, let me know as well.

QUESTIONS:
Have you tried any of these products before?

Review: Almay Clear Complexion Concealer + Treatment Gel

Hey everyone! I am just going to post up a quick review on this Almay Clear Complexion Concealer + Treatment Gel. This is somewhat a new product from Almay containing BlemisHeal Technology, meant for people who tend to have breakouts and suffer from acne. I bought this a while back because I always had the casual breakouts and could never find the perfect concealer to cover up my blemishes perfectly. Since this was meant to help heal and prevent acne blemishes, I wanted to give it a try. I regret buying this so much but I am glad that I didn't spend too much on it because I bought it on a sale with coupons and got UP+ Rewards back.

WHAT:
Comes with two parts: treatment gel and a concealer. Both products have salicylic acid and are meant to clear and prevent acne blemishes. Plus its hypoallergenic and won't clog pores. Its also oil-free as well.

SCENT:
Oh my goodness, the concealer part smells so bad!! I don't know what it smells like but it just smells horrible. Whenever I apply this concealer on my face, throughout the day, I can smell it on my face. If you are very sensitive to strong smells, I would not recommend this at all. The treatment gel doesn't have a bad scent to it. To me, it just smells like a regular treatment gel.

CONCEALER:
Since this is a stick concealer, it is a bit drying to use but it covers redness well. I bought this mainly to use on my blemishes but since my pimples tend to have dry patches surrounding them, this just enhances the dry patches and make them noticable. Plus it smells horrible.

TREATMENT GEL:
I really like this treatment gel but not enough to repurchase this and have to deal with the smelly concealer. This treatment gel dries clear unlike other treatment gels, which dry white. You can wear this under your makeup without having to worry about it peeling off because its not noticable on your face like other treatment gels. If you are looking for a treatment gel that dries clear, you might like this one.

Because the concealer smells so bad, I would not recommend this at all, especially if you are sensitive to strong smells. I will not be buying this again. Plus if you have dry skin like dry patches on your face, this concealer will enhance those dry patches. For instance, if you have dry spots around your pimples, then I would not suggest you using this concealer. If you have tried this concealer before, definitely let me know whether you like it or not. Plus if you know any good concealers for covering up acne, please let me know as well.

(UPDATE: After a couple of weeks, the smell fades. With the smell barely noticable, its actually a good concealer and covers up well since it is a stick concealer. Just make sure to moisturize well before using this to conceal places with dry patches. I can still smell it but its not noticable as before when I could smell it wherever I applied it. Now I can only smell it when I hold the actual concealer up to my nose to take a whiff. I have already repurchased this but in the shade Light.)

QUESTIONS:
Have you tried this concealer yet?
Any concealers you would recommend for me?

Review: Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Face Care Line With Clary Sage

Hey everyone! I have been meaning to do this review for such a long time but as you know with the holidays, it gets pretty busy. I have been lagging on my posts and have so many that I need to type up. Hopefully I can get them done by the end of this week but we will see. The life of a beauty blogger. LOL If you didn't know already, I received these products from BzzAgent to review. Since I have been super busy, I have been trying out these products since I received them. Its probably been a month or more of trying these poducts out, which is always the best when reviewing skincare products. I am so glad that I got these to try out because winter is here and my skin has been getting really dry lately. To know more about Burt's Bees Intense Hydration products, you can click the above link or CLICK HERE.

Lets just talk about my skin before using these products. My skin was extremely dry in certain places like on my cheeks and on my chin. I hated applying makeup because it would make my dry skin even more noticable. I have tried many day and night creams but none have them have fully gotten rid of these dry patches. Even though I have have dry patches, my skin is also oily on my T-zone like my forehead and nose. I was worried that using skincare products meant for dry skin would make my skin oiler and cause more breakouts but this wasn't the case. Plus I used to take Biotin daily but not anymore. I wanted to see how well these products would work on my skin so I stopped taking Biotin and don't really see myself taking anymore.

The products that I received to review is the night cream, treatment mask, and the cream cleanser. All these products are from the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Face Care line with Clary Sage. I sort of wished that it came with the day cream as well but these products were great as well and very generous with their size. As you can see all these are full size products. I am going to talk about each of these products one by one.

The first one that I am going to talk about is the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Treatmeant Mask. I only used this a couple of times but not as much as the other products since this is a treatment mask. This normally retails for $17.99 but prices vary by the store. I would sometimes use this after the cleanser and apply it all over my face and neck. They suggest you to leave it on for 5-10 minutes but I kept it on for the full 10 minutes. I have to admit that it was kind of wierd using this product because usually the masks that I use, I would have to rinse off after usage but with this treatment mask, I would remove with a cotton round and massage the remaining product into my skin. I kind of didn't really like that because it felt weird to me to have the remaining product on my skin. I always felt the need to rinse my face afterwards. I am still a bit unsure about this product so I won't really go into futher detail about this one.

The second product that I received was the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser. This cream cleanser retails for $9.99 plus tax. This product is something that I really like but I have to say that this cleanser might not be for everyone. The reason why I say that is because if you are someone who just likes to remove your makeup with one product then this might not be for you. But if you are someone who is used to taking off ALL of your makeup off, then you might like this, especially if you have dry skin. For me, before going to sleep, I would always go with the same routine for removing my makeup:
  1. Remove makeup with ELF Studio Makeup Remover Cloths.
  2. Use Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser.
  3. Blot my face on my towel to dry off.
  4. Use Clean & Clear toner to remove the rest of my makeup. (Repeat twice or more as needed).

Since I am so used to using multiple products to remove all of my makeup, this is fine for me. As you can see in my pictures, I did multiple tests using the cream cleanser. All these tests were finished off with my Clean & Clear toner to show how much makeup was leftover on my face.

The first test was when I used this product alone and with toner afterwards to see how much makeup was leftover on my face. As you can see, using this cream cleanser alone didn't remove all of my makeup. I am not sure if it even removed anything. I think this is a great product for those who wear minimal to no makeup at all. Since I wear liquid foundation everyday, I would always have to use this cream cleanser with other products. If I would use this cleanser alone than I would have to wash and use toner maybe two-three times to get everything off.

The second test that I wanted to show you guys was how this cream cleanser would perform with a facial brush. I don't have the Clarisonic Mia but have always been lusting after it. For right now, its just not in my budget. Since I couldn't justify the price tag, I decided to buy the Sephora face brush. I tried looking for it online on the Sephora website so I could get the actual full name and provide the link but I can't find it anymore. This definitely did help a bit when removing my makep but it didn't remove it all. I think it was because the cleanser is a cream cleanser and wasn't one that foamed up. I think I would have better luck with a foam cleanser because it sudds up and cleans more.

The last test that I performed and love because its my usual nighttime routine is using this cream cleanser with my ELF Studio Makeup Remover Cloths. I always use a makeup remover wipes to remove my makeup because I just feel and know that it removes all my makeup fast and easy. Since I was using a makeup remover wipe, I would only have to wash my face once and use toner once or twice. As you can see, for me that the last test was more better since it removed 98% of all my makeup. I would just have to use toner twice and it would be perfect for my routine.

For me, I would actually prefer using the cream cleanser in conjunction with my makeup remover wipes. I have been using the third test as my nightly routine for over a month now and am completely satisified with this product. It doesn't make my skin break out. Actually I have been breaking out less since using this product as well as the other products in this line. I think its probably because these products are 99.0% natural compared to my other cleansers.

Now onto the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream. Let me just say that this night cream is really moisturizing. Its especially great for those with dry skin. Even though I do have some dry patches and an oily T-zone, this night cream didn't break me out at all. It didn't make my skin feel heavy either, which was always a plus. It claims to have a non-greasy formula, which is probably the reason. Since this night cream is so moisturizing, you actually don't need a lot of product so I can see this night cream lasting a while. One thing that I don't really like about the night cream is the actual packaging. Even though it is glass packaging and sturdy, I just hate that its in a jar. I wish it was in a pump form because its more sanitary. This product retails for $17.99, depending on the store.

I do have to say though that all these products have a scent to them. I don't know what the scent reminds me off but it smells really good. It isn't a strong scent but tends to disappear once applied onto the face. Since using all these products, I no longer have any dry patches on my face. I definitely see myself buying these products, especially in the winter because my skin always gets dry in the Winter. I won't be using these in the Summer because I tend to get more oily during those days. I actually think these products have improved my skin. Like I said in the beginning of my post, I used to take Biotin but since using these products, I don't anymore. They also claim to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles but I don't really see any improvement or changes in that area. I actually have a couple of worry lines on my forehead and they haven't diminshed. If you are looking for products that moisturize, you might like these products but if you are looking for some to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles as well, I am not sure if I would suggest these. You might have to use these longer than a month to see any improvement on wrinkle decrease. All-in-all, I really reccommend these products from the Intense Hydration line. If you tend to get dry skin in the winter, you might want to try these products.

Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer "001 Light Pale"

Hey everyone! Today, I was somewhat bored and Luuux wasn't let me onto the website to comment and post. Since I couldn't Luuux, I thought that it was time to type up a post. I had bought this eariler in the week. I went to Walgreens trying to look for the new limited edition 8 pan palettes from WnW like the Sparkle Till Morning and Drinking A Glass of Shine since I missed out on last years's I <3 Mattes palette. I was so sad. I have been to a bunch of CVS stores and Walgreen near me house trying to hunt this collection down but no such luck. I don't know if either they are all sold out or not in stock yet. Its so irritating. Hopefully I will be able to find them soon because I don't think WnW will repromote these palettes again.

Anyways, since I was going through the makeup aisles and having not luck with the WnW palettes, I decided to go check out the clearance section. There wasn't anything that interested me and there wasn't any makeup but I did happen to spot this Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer "001 Light Pale. I think I actually bought one a few months ago but never tried it. Hopefully I end up liking it because now I have two of them. LOL Thats when you know you have an addicting problem. You don't even know you already bought something until you get home and go through your collection and BAM! You see an extra one hidden in the back. Eesh! I don't know if Revlon is discontinuing these because I bought this one for $1 plus tax. Please comment below if you know if these are getting and/or are already discontinued since this is the second time that I bought this on clearance. If you would like to see a review on this, let me know and I will start using it.

Have you gotten your hands on the limited edition WnW palettes yet?
Have you tried the Revlon Age Defying Spa Concealer?

Asian Goodies From My Mom

Hey everyone! Guess what? I have been meaning to post up this for such a long time but I thought I had lost the pictures either somewhere on my computer or on my phone. But I finally found them by stumbling onto them by accident! Yay! If you remember, a few months ago I had some posting because I didn't have time. Well it was because my mom had gone to Vietnam for a month and she bought me back some goodies! She actually bought a lot more back but I had to share some with my sister and of course, my mom also bought some for herself as well.

Of course, the first thing that I asked my mom to bring back for me was the Model21 Fashion Lashes. Even though I barely burned through my first stash of these lashes since the first time I went to Vietnam but I wanted some more just in case. Plus they are so much cheaper buying them in Vietnam than buying them here or online. I love these lashes! They re a bit long for my eyes but I always end up cutting off the ends anyways so it doesn't matter much to me. Plus these lashes come in a box with 10 sets of lashes! These normally retail for $6 a box but if you buy them in Vietnam (depending on the store), you can get three to four boxes for $6!! Crazy right! I just asked my mom to pick out whatever designs that she thought I would like and wear the most. She picked out all the designs with the #4. LOL She bought a bunch of lashes but I only took 5 boxes because I didn't want to seem greedy! The ones that I picked out were 4L and 4T.

Before my mom went on her vacay, I gave her my Missha BB Cream because she was looking for a great foundation with skincare benefits. I gave her the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream and my Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream. Lets just say that she fell in love with both of them. Since her plane was making a pit stop somewhere in Korea, she decided to be on the lookout for some Missha products. I told my mom how much these normally retail for and she said that she was definitely going to pick some up because it would just be cheaper to buy there than to buy online. Good thing there was a Missha shop at the airport that my mom's plane stopped at because my mom went crazy and bought like 5 bottles of each. LOL My sister and I only took one of each and told my mom to keep the rest. Plus if we ever run out, we can always ask her for some more. My mom saved so much money buying them directly than by having me order them online. Plus the lady working there gave my mom a ton of samples as well. My mom got a bag full of Super Aqua Marine Stem Cell Intensive Serum. I only took four to try out and my mom kept the rest.

The last thing that my mom bought for me as well was the Andrea ModLash Adhesive. I didn't ask my mom to buy my any lash glue because I am trying to finish up my DUO lash adhesive. I also wanted to try the new Revlon one but I can never find it anywhere so I am always on the lookout for that one. I guess the place where my mom bought the Model21 lashes from got my mom to buy some lash glue as well. LOL I haven't given this a try yet but if you would like a review, definitely let me know. This is in the color Dark, which will be the first time with me since I always buy the clear one from DUO.

So that is all that my mom bought back for me, beauty-wise!! Yay! I always love it when people go to Vietnam and bring me back goodies, especially the false lashes! Those are my favorite lashes! If you would like to see reviews on any of these products, definitely leave me a comment below! Sorry for having this post up so late but since these were bought somewhere else and not on sale, I am guessing its alright. Plus better late then never!

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried Model21 fashion lashes?
Have you ever tried BB Cream?
What do you think about the Missha BB Creams?

Please feel free to Comment, Like, Friend, & Follow!

CVS Haul (Feat. Maybelline, WnW and Garnier)

Hey everyone! So guess what? I had some extra time again and decided to make a pit stop to CVS. I don't know why I always go that to myself because I always end up spending money there. Plus I live near to a CVS store so thats never a good thing, especially if you are a beauty lover like me. Its never a good thing for the wallet. I went there with no intention to buy anything but walked out with a bag full of makeup goodies. Eesh! My little brother was with me too and when we were walking out of the store, he was just shaking his head. LOL

What I bought:
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector
I have always been curious about this BB cream and since I had a coupon, I decided to get it to try out. Hopefully it ends up working good because I have read a couple of reviews where people didn't like this product. I think some people complained about the smell and/or on the weird feeling your face feels once its on. Hopefully it doesn't feel weird on my face or make it break out as well. *Fingers crossed!* If you have tried this before, definitely let me know what you think about it.

Wet N Wild MegaLast Nail Polish "204B Private Viewing" and "211B Club Havana"
Since I was at the WnW display, I wanted to try out the Spoiled polishes but for some reason, the CVS store by my house doesn't sell them. Bummer! I thought that was a bit weird but I remembered that my CVS store sucks. IDK how its even still in business because they never carry new products and they suck at restocking. Since they didn't carry the Spoiled line, I decided to just buy some from the MegaLast line. Even though its fall right now, I don't really like wearing dark nail polishes that much so I bought a nudish shade as well as a bright sorbet orange.

Wet N Wild LipStick "512A Fuchsia With Blue Pearl"
Like I need anymore lipsticks! I still decided to buy this one to try out. No wonder my little brother was shaking his head at me. LOL I thought the name on this is pretty exact with how it goes on the lips. Once swatched, this is such a bright fuchsia but what makes it really pretty is that it somewhat has a blue pearl finish to it. Its really pretty. If you would like to see a swatch of it, definitely let me know!

Maybelline FitMe Blush "Light Pink"
I love my blushes and am definitely a blush addict! I know I don't need amymore blushes but I can never stop buying them. Since my whole makeup addiction, I have probably only finished one blush but have hit pan on others. So you can tell why I don't need anymore but I just love them! I love buying pink blushes so when I saw this, I just had to give it a try. Hopefully its pigmented and shows up on my cheeks.

Garnier Moisture Rescue Lightweight UV-Lotion SPF15
Last but not least, I decided to get a lotion. Since its been getting pretty cold in Cali, I thought it would be a great time to try out a moisturizing day lotion. I bought it to try out and if it ends up working pretty well, I just might buy another one for my mom. Supposedly it keeps the skin hydrated for 24 hours but we will see if that claim is true. If you have tried this before, let me know whether you liked it or not.

So that is all for my CVS haul. I didn't intend to buy anything but just browse around and waste some time but I ended up walking out with a bag of products and my brother shaking his head. LOL Good thing hes only ten because chances are, he won't remember this later on. I haven't tried any of these products yet do love the WnW polishes since I already own a couple from that line. If you would like to see reviews and/or swatches on any of these products, shown in this post, let me know and I will post them! Plus if you have tried any of these products, let me know what you think about them!

Has this ever happened to you before?
