Review: Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Intensive Skin Repair Serum

Hey everyone! I'm back with another review for you guys. I am going to try to do all my reviews that I have backed up on my computer. I will try to do the ones that I have already edited and watermarked since those don't need any extra work done. I do have a bunch more pictures that I need to watermark, which is always a hassle but you got to do what you got to do. This is a product that I have been meaning to review for a while now. Its also a product that I have been trying to finish up as well. You will soon find out why.

I have tried other Yes To products and love them, especially the Yes To Tomatoes skincare line. Since I had gotten good results with those, I decided to try their other products. This was on clearance for $5 at my Sears a few months ago so I knew that I definitely had to buy it to try it out. I pretty much regret buying it. LOL I do wish that I had checked out the reviews on it first before I bought it. Usually I would check out reviews and swatches in the store on my phone but sometimes I forget and just impulse buy. Let me know if the same happens to you too as well.

This Yes To Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum claims to help restore age-damaged skin. What really sold me on this was that it is paraben-free. According to the actual packaging, "Yes To Blueberries formulations naturally blend anti-oxidant rich fruits with special ingredients to help fight the signs of aging. The collection features products that help improve skin firmness, protect skin, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and nourish age-damaged skin." I would apply this to my face and neck both morning and night before apply my moisturizer.

This all sounds good, right? Well to me, it did but the only thing that I didn't like was the actual product itself. This product has the regular consistency of a serum, which is fine since I would apply a moisturizer or cream after. The only thing that I couldn't stand was the smell. Oh my goodness, this serum smelled so bad. If you are sensitive to smells, then you should definitely stay away from this. It smells nowhere near blueberries or any kind of fruit. I actually don't know what the smell reminds me of but its just a horrible scent. You can't smell it once its on your face but you do smell it when you apply it all over your face and neck. Plus the scent stays on your hands until you wash it off. Its just a hassle. I will definitely not buy this again. Let me know if you have tried this before and if you have any serums that you would recommend.

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried this Yes To Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum?
What serum do you use morning and night?

Mini Target Haul

Hey everyone! Yes, I went back to Target again. I think I have gone there so many times these past weeks. I love going to Target but usually I aways feel lightheaded whenever I walk into there, which is weird since that has never happened to me before. I hope that doesn't mean anything bad. Last time I went to Target, I felt like the whole store was spinning so I had sit down. I wasn't feeling well so I left everything in my shopping cart in the middle of the aisle and left the store to sit in my car before I felt fine enough to drive home. It was such a scary feeling since I never had anything like that happen to me before. The whole time I was driving home, I did regret not buying everything I had in cart but I knew that I wasn't about to go back to the store and buy it since I was worried that the lightheaded feeling would come back and make it worse. I think that was one of the very few times where I have gone to Target and walked out empty-handed.

Anyways, this haul is more recent and was a week after what happened. I didn't buy much since I mainly went to see if they still had what I wanted to buy last time but nope. I should have known since they were on clearance and clearance items go fast. I was lucky enough to find three things that I really liked on clearance in the beauty aisles. Two of the items that I found were these CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Eye Brightening Shadow Palettes. The first one that I bought is in the shade 715 Majestic Hazels since it is considered as a palette for people with hazel eyes. I don't have hazel eyes but I bought it anyways since makeup follows no rules. LOL

The next one that I bought is for blue eyes and its called 710 Radiant Blues. I don't have blue eyes either (no matter how hard I wish for them LOL) but I mainly bought it for the blue shadow. I haven't tried these yet but hopefully these are as good as their regular trios and quads. Let me know if you guys have ever tried these and what you guys think about these palettes. Plus each palette comes with its own mini eye shadow brush, which is nice.

The last thing that I bought is this Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Calming Night Cream for sensitive skin. I don't have sensitive skin but I was running out of my night cream so I thought I could give this a try. Plus it was on clearance for $1.76 plus tax!! How can you say no to that price for a well known drugstore skincare brand? I think the regular price for this is somewhere around $10-$13, depending on the store. I was actually worried that someone had already opened it to test it out since the price was so low and was priced "As Is" but nope, it was brand new. The outside packaging was just a little beat up around the corners. Score!

So those are all the products that I bought on my little Target shopping trip! I am so happy with all the deals that I found since I did end up saving a lot of money, especially since I had a $4 off 2 CoverGirl eye products so I only ended up paying a little over a dollar for both palettes total!! Man I love coupons and sales! LOL Anyways, if you have any questions, definitely leave a comment below and I will try my best to answer them! Thanks for reading and hopefully you guys liked this haul.

Lisa's March 2013 Favorites & Forgets

Hey everyone! March is now over and now its April. Of course, I wanted to have this post ready for the first day of April but its been crazy lately. I hope you guys all had a great April Fool's Day and had lots of fun pranking people. I know I sure did with my little brother. Haha. If you guys did some crazy pranks, I would love to hear about them, especially if they involve lots of laughter! Okay onto my monthly favorites! This time, for my March favorites, I don't really have a lot of products. I am a bit surprised but thats probably because I have been using the same products so I didn't really want to feature them again on repeat. But I do know for sure, next months will probably be bigger with a bunch of makeup items. Plus because I reorganized my makeup collection, I discovered a couple of products that I forgot about.

FOUNDATION:
Revlon ColorStay Whipped Foundation "Medium Beige"
Its been a while since I used this foundation. I had actually stopped because I wasn't breaking out as much as before so I didn't really need a foundation with much coverage. Since I reorganized my makeup, I decided to start wearing this again. Its actually a pretty good foundation but it is a bit on the thick side (but not as thick and cakey as the original Revlon ColorStay, in my opinion) and I tend to prefer foundations that are more liquidy. If you are looking for an alternative to the original Revlon ColorStay foundation, you might like this one.

CONCEALERS:
Almay Clear Complexion Concealer "Light/Medium"
I am almost finished with this. It is a bit hard to get all the concealer out of the tube so I might have to cut it in half later on to get every little bit. I really like this concealer and just recently bought three more as backups, which you will see in my haul post soon. I really like how well this concealer covers and how it doesn't irritate my pimples.
Almay Clear Complexion Concealer + Treatment Gel "Light/Medium"
I know that in my previous review, I said that I didn't really like the concealer but now my feelings have changed a bit. The reason why I didn't like it at first was because of the horrid smell but after a while, the scent has descreased and I can't barely detect it anymore. The scent doesn't linger where I apply it anymore. I don't why they even made it with that scent because it was just horrible but I'm glad that smell is pretty much gone. The concealer covers well. I would just rub my finger onto the concealer and apply it to my blemishes. The treatment gel is pretty good as well. It works like any other drugstore acne treatment that I have tried.

MAC Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35 "NW20"
This is a bit light for my skintone but I love it for my undereye area. I can see why people love this concealer. I really like how well it covers (even though I don't have any dark circles or bags under my eyes) and how well it brightens my eye area up. Its creamy but not as creamy and thick as the Benefit Erase Paste but the MAC one has yellow undertones so it looks better on my skintone.

EYES:
Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Shadow Primer
I really love this eye primer. Its not too thick or too watery. Its just the perfect consistency for an eye primer plus it really makes my shadows more pigmented. If you never tried this before, you should really give it a try. Plus I really like the packaging. Its like a lip gloss applicator where you would squeeze out the product, which I find more sanitary.
ULTA Kohl Eye Pencil "Halo"
I have been loving this as a highlight for the inner corner of my eyes. It has a shimmery finish so its perfect to use to give your eyes that wide awake look. Its so creamy and pigmented that it doesn't take long to apply. Plus I never have to tug or go over anything. It stays on pretty well but the only complaint that I have about it is that its not retractable. I hate eyeliners that need sharpening because I feel like it wastes so much product whenever you sharpen them. Other than that, I really like it.
Revlon Brow Fantasy "Dark Brown"
This is a product that I have been using a lot during March. I am not sure if I can say that I love it. I am not sure how I feel about this because I could have easily just bought the wrong shade. I am not sure if there is another shade darker than Dark Brown. For my brows, Dark Brown has some red undertones to it (especialy in the brow gel), which doesn't look great on my brows. If there was another shade, I would probably like this product. The pencil is pretty easy to use but I still feel like the mini brush in the ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit is way more easy to control and use. This also comes with a brow gel, which isn't the right shade. Plus I feel like it doesn't tame my brows that well and sometimes it makes my brow hairs dried. I'll probably end up doing a review on this product later on...
Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara "Black"
I really love this mascara. I don't know if Mary Kay still sells this but if they do, I would probably end up repurchasing this. It gives my lashes some volume while lengthening them a bit. It doesn't make them appear really long but thats okay. Plus what I really like about this mascara is that it doesn't clump on me or flake on me.

SKINCARE:
Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream With Clary Sage
This night cream is really moisturizing. Its especially great for those with dry skin. Even though I do have some dry patches and an oily T-zone, this night cream didn't break me out at all. It doesn't make my skin feel heavy either, which was always a plus. It claims to have a non-greasy formula, which is probably the reason. Since this night cream is so moisturizing, you actually don't need to use a lot.
If you would like to see my review on this, you can CLICK HERE.
Clean & Clear Advantage Popped Pimple Relief Drying Paste
Recently, I stopped taking Biotin (mainly because I've been forgeting to LOL) and because of that my skin hasn't been the best lately. Sometimes I would get random pimples all over my face and I get into the habit of popping them when they get too big. I know that popping pimples isn't good so whenever I make that mistake, I always make sure to use this drying paste. It comes out like a cream and dries instantly on the area you apply it too. The reason why I like this is because this seems to be the only drying paste that lasts all night on my face. Whenever I wake it, it still on my face.

FORGET:
Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Intensive Skin Repair Serum
I absolutely do not like this serum. It smells so bad. I don't know what it smells like but its just horrible. I was actually hoping that this would smell like blueberries when I bought it but nope. I asked both my brother and sister what they thought of the smell as well and they didn't like it. The scent does take a while to go away, maybe a minute. Other than that, I will not be repurchasing this. I am just going to try to finish this whole bottle up and hope to never smell it again.

So those are all my favorites and forgets! If you guys have any other questions on some of these products, please let me know! Keep in mind that I might be doing reviews on both the Revlon Brow Fantasy and the Yes To Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum. Definitely let me know if you would like to see reviews on those two products.

Collective Beauty Haul

Hey everyone! This haul was done at both Sears and Walgreens. Sorry that it is a little bit late but I was a little bit busy with some stuff. I didn't buy much and thought it was better to just put these two hauls together. I bought both of these around the same week. The deal at Walgreens is already over but you can go to your Sears to check if they have similar products still on clearance. The Sears (in Costa Mesa) that I went to had a bunch of products on clearance.

At Walgreens, I bought three products. Walgreens was having a sale a while back on T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel. It was on sale for $4USD plus tax, and you get $4RR backs. So essentially, it was like paying $0.35USD each for these. I have never tried these before but I heard that they were great to use as a toner on your face to help with your acne. I can't wait to try these soon! If you have tried these before, definitely let me know what you think of it and how you use it.

At Sears, I bought three things as well. They had a bunch of products on clearance and I wanted to get them all. LOL But of course, I came to my senses and only bought these three products. All products were under $10USD each, which is super great deal, especially since they are regularly priced over $15USD each.

I bought two perfumes, which is the Jessica Simpson Fancy Nights. This is the 1.0 FL. OZ., which is a full size. I bought these for only $8.75USD each. This is my first time owning any Jessica Simpson perfume and it smells pretty good. I was surprised with how long it lasted on my wrist. It lasted from 12PM to 10PM at night. It probably would have lasted all night but I took a shower. I only sprayed it once on my wrist and the staying power was phenomenal.

Another product that I bought from Sears was a Yes To Blueberry Age Refresh Intensive Skin Repair Serum. I bought this for only $5USD. I would have bought another one but this was the last one left. I don't know how they nomally retails for but I remember seeing it at both Ulta and Target for over $12USD. I haven't tried this yet but I have other products from the Yes To line and I love them all.

So that is all for my haul. I hope you all like it. If you have tried any of these products, definitely let me know! I would love to know if any of these worked out for you! If you are planning to go to Sears soon, I definitely recommend checking out their makeup aisles to see if they also have products on clearance. Who knows they might even have the same products that I bought and/or even better products.

March 2012 Favorites

Hey everyone! can you believe that it is already April and that March is now over? Wow this year is already going by so fast! This month, I only have a couple of favorites. Some of them are repeats and they are probably going to stay that way until I finish everything up. LOL That just shows how much I love it! I don't have much because I have been trying to use up more of my makeup rather than buy new ones, even though I have been craving to buy more.

SKINCARE:
++YES TO TOMATOES DAILY BALANCING MOISTURIZER++
I have been loving this ever since I got it. It is the perfect moisturizer for my face. I already bought a backup of this because I am almost running out. This is from the Yes To Clear Skin line, so its great for my acne prone skin. Plus it keeps my skin moisturized all day and has a nice scent to it. The scent reminds me of cinnamon. Its not overpowering and once its on your face, you don't really smell it. I also have a review post on this: CLICK HERE

MAKEUP:
++ALMAY CLEAR COMPLEXION FOUNDATION++
I have been using this foundation for a couple of months now and I really like it. This foundation has salylic acid and is meant for those with acne prone skin because it helps treat acne. I have it in 220 Neutral, which is somewhat light for me but its a great shade for me in the winter. Plus if I want more color, I just apply bronzer all over my face as my setting powder. I always use this foundation during my monthly time because its light but provides good coverage. Plus because its light, it doesn't irritate my pimples and cause them to swell up and/or get more red. This is in the old packaging because the new ones now have pumps. If you would like to see a more in-depth review on this, please let me know!

++WNW 6 PAN PALETTE IN VANITY++
I have been using this a lot this month and have been loving it. It is the perfect neutral palette. Plus what makes it even better is that it is so affordable! I think this retails for $2.99USD plus tax. You can find this anywhere WnW products are sold like CVS, Walgreens, and RiteAid. These shadows are so soft and they feel so buttery to the touch. They are very pigmented. Plus this palette also has both shimmery and matte shadows, which is great.

++L'OREAL WEAR INFINITE EYESHADOW QUAD IN 220 MILLA'S BLUES++
I don't use the whole quad but there is one shade that I have been loving. It is the shade that I circled in the picture. For me, this is te perfect highlight for my browbone. I use this with all my eye looks. Its a matte eyeshadow. I know for sure that once I run out, I am definitely going to repurchase this shade. Hopefully L'Oreal makes this one eyeshadow as a single because I love it so much. I have tried looking for dupes for this but I can't find any. This is an old quad from L'Oreal but hopefully they still make that one shadow. If you know for a perfect dupe for that one shade, please let me know.

++BENEFIT CREASELESS SHADOW/LINER IN R.S.V.P++
I love this because it is a perfect all over the lid cream shadow. I love this because its so simple and easy. Whenever I am running late and/or feeling too lazy to do my eye makeup, I would just apply this all over my lid and I am done. This is a deluxe sample that I bought in the Benefit Stay Don't Stray set from Sephora for $10USD plus tax last year. It is a gorgeous shimmery pinkish-gold that is wonderful worn as a base or by itself.

++MILANI LIQUIF'EYE METALLIC EYE LINER PENCIL IN BLACK++
This is my holy grail eyeliner! It is the perfect pigmented black. I bought this because it was more pigmented than UD Zero, which it is. I haven't tried the new one that UD came out with, which is said to be more pigmented than Zero. This eyeliner lasts a pretty long time on my eyeliner. I just wish that it wouldn't smudge so easy. If you would like to see a review with swatches, please let me know.

++REVLON LIP BUTTER IN 080 STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE++
This is by far my favorite lip butter out of all the ones that I have. I am almost out of it as you can see in my picture. It is the perfect bubblegum pink. These are so moisturizing and last pretty long on my lips. These usually range from $6USD-$7USD plus tax but sometimes you can find them on sale. To see my review and swatches on this: CLICK HERE

NAIL POLISH:
++HARD CANDY MATTE TOP COAT++
This was the first matte top coat that I bought. I have really been into matte nail polishes these days and have been loving this. It gives any nail polish color a matte finish. I have been wearing this with so many different polishes. Plus it dries very quick. You can only find this at WalMart for $7USD plus tax.

FRAGRANCE:
++BRITNEY SPEARS FANTASY++
I love this perfume and plan on collecting all of Britney Spears perfumes. LOL This ones smells so good and is perfect for the Spring/Summer. if you haven't smelled this perfume, you definitely need to go to a store and smell it for yourself.

So that is all for my March 2012 favorites! I hope that you liked it and that it was informative. If you would to know anything else about these products, don't hesitate to ask. What are your March 2012 favorites? Are some of them the same as my favorites?

Review: Yes To Carrots Nourishing Rich Moisture Day Cream

Hey everyone! Today, I am going to review a product that I have been using everyday. It is the Yes To Carrots Nourishing Rich Moisture Day Cream. It is a very thick cream so I only use this as a night cream after I cleanse my face, before bed. It doesn't have any SPF so for me, its more suited as a night cream. It might be better for others as a dry cream, if their skin is really dry and needs that extra moisture. Its supposed to give your skin its daily vitamin boost and hydrate your skin with almond oil. Its also free of parabens, petroleum, and SLS. The Yes To website describes:

"Meet mornings head on and with that beautiful face! Yes To Carrots Rich Moisture Day Cream softens, smoothes, and firms your skin, leaving you with a healthy nourishing glow that radiates through the day. It's morning moisturizer for day long nourishment that will keep the gorgeous glow on your face!"

The size of this is pretty decent for a cream because its so thick and creamy, you don't need to use a lot of product. It comes with 1.7 fl. oz, which is 50mL of product. It orginally retails for $14.99USD plus tax but I bought this for under $3USD plus tax. It was on clearance at Walgreens. I don't know if this is getting discontinued. If anyone knows, please let me know. I have seen it on clearance at Ulta as well. You can still purchase it online from the Yes To website. To see more information and/or order this, click here: Yes To Carrotes Nourishing Rich Moisture Day Cream

The key ingredients are organic carrots and sweet almond oil. The organic carrots are supposed to protect your skin from damaging free radicals while the almond oil gives your skin a natural glow. Taken from the actual packaging, the other ingredients are:

"WATER (AQUA), PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) OIL, GLYCERYL STEARATE, POTASSIUM CETYL PHOSPHATE, ALOE BARBADENSIS (ALOE VERA) LEAF JUICE, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, PERSEA GRATISSIMA (AVOCADO) OIL, HYDROGENATED PALM GLYCERIDES, CETYL ALCOHOL, PROPANEDIOL DAUCUS CAROTA SATIVA (CARROT) ROOT EXTRACT, IPOMOEA BATATAS TUBER (SWEET POTATO) EXTRACT, SILT (DEAD SEA), TOCOPHEROL (VITAMIN E), PUNICA GRANATUM (POMEGRANATE) FRUIT EXTRACT, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) FRUIT EXTRACT, CAMELLIA SINENSIS (GREEN TEA) LEAF EXTRACT, CITRUS NOBILIS (MANDARIN ORANGE) PEEL OIL, SPIRULINA MAXIMA EXTRACT, HONEY EXTRACT, SALICYLIC ACID, GLYCERIN, SQUALANE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, ALCOHOL, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, PHENOXYETHANOL FRAGRANCE (PARFUM)"

I wish the packaging was different because I hate having to stick my fingers everyday. I don't really find it sanitary and would rather prefer a pump dispenser. The top is just a twist off and you would have to grab the product with your fingers. Other than that, I can't really think of any cons with this cream. It does have a smell to it but I can't describe it. The smell is somewhat sweet and does linger on the face for a while but you don't really notice it. I really like using this as a night cream because its just the perfect amount of moisture for my skin. Have you ever tried this product? What kind of day cream do you use? Is there one that you would recommend? What do you think about the Yes To product line?

Ulta Haul (3.8.12)

Hey everyone! Guess what? I went to Ulta this week! Its been such a long time since I have been to Ulta. I was missing it. LOL I was going to go to Ulta but since it was right next door, I thought why not. Plus I promised myself that I wasn't going to be doing any serious hauling. I think I kept true to my word, what do you guys think? I think I contained myself since most of the stuff that I bought were either on sale and/or on clearance.

What I bought:
CARGO SWIMMABLES WATERPROOF EYE PENCILS
This was orginally $26USD but I found this set on clearance for $9.99USD plus tax! It comes with four travel sized eyeliners. The set comes with a purple, moss green, gold and blue eyeliner; all these shades are perfect for the summer. I have never tried any products from Cargo before so hopefully these are good. I have been looking for the perfect waterproof eyeliners for forever. I still haven't tried these yet so I don't know if my search is still going on or if its ended. I tried looking for these with the regular Cargo products but they didn't have any eyeliners for display so I don't know if Cargo discontinued them or if they only promote these during the Summer. Hopefully these eyeliners will last a long time on my waterline. If you have tried these before, please let me know what you think about them.

YES TO TOMATOES CLEAR SKIN DAILY BALANCING MOISTURIZER
This is my second re-purchase of this. I really like this moisturizer and was running low of my first one, so I thought that it was time to buy a back-up. Plus Ulta was having a sale on the Yes To line. I use this moisturizer in the morning after I wash my face. If you would like to know more about this moisturizer, you can CLICK HERE (Luuux) or CLICK HERE (Blog) for my review.

MS. PEDICURE POCKET PEDI MINI PEDICURE SET
This was kind of bought on a splurge. It was right by the checkout lane and was only $2USD plus tax. I thought it was so cute and loved how the packaging was pink! I mainly bought it for the stone, which I hope works on the feet.

3-PIECE PEDICURE SET (X2)
These were on clearance. I can't remember the exact price that I paid. I bought one before last year. I bought these two because I thought that they would be great to use in gift sets. Plus I love how they are both pink and purple!

Well I hope you all like my haul! Its small but I am glad that I contained myself. I can't wait to try out the Cargo eyeliners. Hopefully they are truly waterproof because they would be perfect for the beach. LOL Let me know if you guys have tried them before, because I would love to hear your opinions!
