Review: Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Intensive Skin Repair Serum
Hey everyone! I'm back with another review for you guys. I am going to try to do all my reviews that I have backed up on my computer. I will try to do the ones that I have already edited and watermarked since those don't need any extra work done. I do have a bunch more pictures that I need to watermark, which is always a hassle but you got to do what you got to do. This is a product that I have been meaning to review for a while now. Its also a product that I have been trying to finish up as well. You will soon find out why.
I have tried other Yes To products and love them, especially the Yes To Tomatoes skincare line. Since I had gotten good results with those, I decided to try their other products. This was on clearance for $5 at my Sears a few months ago so I knew that I definitely had to buy it to try it out. I pretty much regret buying it. LOL I do wish that I had checked out the reviews on it first before I bought it. Usually I would check out reviews and swatches in the store on my phone but sometimes I forget and just impulse buy. Let me know if the same happens to you too as well.
This Yes To Blueberries Intensive Skin Repair Serum claims to help restore age-damaged skin. What really sold me on this was that it is paraben-free. According to the actual packaging, "Yes To Blueberries formulations naturally blend anti-oxidant rich fruits with special ingredients to help fight the signs of aging. The collection features products that help improve skin firmness, protect skin, diminish fine lines and wrinkles, and nourish age-damaged skin." I would apply this to my face and neck both morning and night before apply my moisturizer.
This all sounds good, right? Well to me, it did but the only thing that I didn't like was the actual product itself. This product has the regular consistency of a serum, which is fine since I would apply a moisturizer or cream after. The only thing that I couldn't stand was the smell. Oh my goodness, this serum smelled so bad. If you are sensitive to smells, then you should definitely stay away from this. It smells nowhere near blueberries or any kind of fruit. I actually don't know what the smell reminds me of but its just a horrible scent. You can't smell it once its on your face but you do smell it when you apply it all over your face and neck. Plus the scent stays on your hands until you wash it off. Its just a hassle. I will definitely not buy this again. Let me know if you have tried this before and if you have any serums that you would recommend.

Wow I'm surprised it would smell so bad!
ReplyDeleteYeah, its horrible. I don't know why it smells like that. Its not expired or anything, which is weird.
DeleteI haven't tried this skincare line yet but I'm glad you mention the smell. I really can't take bad smells. I've stopped using products for the scent alone, especially if it goes on my face or near my nose. Sometimes I buy stuff on the fly without looking up reviews.
ReplyDeleteYeah I just don't know why Yes To would come out with this product. I mean, didn't they have people with noses testing this product out before they put it on the market.
