Walgreens Haul (Feat. Almay, Burt's Bees, Maybelline, & Rimmel)

Hey everyone! Oh my goodness, I haven't been to Walgreens in such a long time. I think the last time I went was to look for the new LE Wet N Wild Spring 8 pan palettes. I actually went to a Walgreens store that was further away from me and opened up a few months ago. I figured since its somewhat new, chances are they might be better at stocking up new products. I don't know if they were either sold out or maybe because the employees didn't put the display out yet but all I knew was that I didn't want to leave empty handed since I hate driving to a store and not buying anything since that wastes car gas.

I was actually quite pleased with this Walgreens store because its so clean and organized. Plus they had a small box of makeup and nail polishes on clearance! So you know, I had to love that store mainly for that fact! They actually had a bunch of products on clearance but I didn't want to go all out and shop like crazy so I only bought things that I had coupons for. Yes, all the items that I purchased in this haul were bought with coupons! Each item had their own coupon and because the majority of them were on clearance, I only paid a couple of cents for each product.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Almay Clear Complexion Concealer "Light"
Yes, I bought myself another back-up of this. I decided to buy the light shade since the one that I finished up was light/medium, which you will be seeing in a future empties post. I feel like the light one might be better for my skintone to cover up blemishes since the light/medium shade tends to get a bit dark, if I reapply it on the same spot.
Almay Get Up & grow Mascara "Blackest Black"
Yes, I bought another tube of this since the coupon that I had for Almay required me to buy two products, I decided I might as well get this another one of this. Plus if I ended up liking the mascara, I would have hated to pay full price for another one when I could have gotten it on cheaper. You know me, I could never pass up a good deal. I can't wait to try this though because it claims to give you stronger and longer lashes so that should be interesting.

Maybelline EyeStudio Stylish Smokes Quad "Emerald Smokes"
This is a great quad for those who love doing smokey eye looks. Its a great palette with dfferent shades of green. You can use this quad to create soft green looks to a smokey, sultry green look. There is so much you can do with this one quad. I will actually have post, featuring swatches on this eyeshadow quad so stay tuned for that.
Maybelline Define-A-Line Eyeliner "Navy Blue"
I remember when I first got into makeup and one of the very first eyeliners that I tried was a Maybelline eyeliner. I don't remember which line it was from but I remembered that I really liked it so I got this to try out. Plus since its a blue eyeliner, I figured that it would be great to wear in the Summer on the waterline as a pop of color.

Burt's Bees Super Glossy "Nectar Nude"
This would be my first time trying a lip gloss from Burt's Bees. Hopefully I will end up liking it. Plus if I do, I'll probably go out and try their new line of lip glosses that they recently released a few months ago. I was hoping that there were other shades in the clearance bin but this was the only one left, which is fine since its a nude shade. I feel like nude lip glosses look great on their own as well as on top of other lipstick shades. This is 100% natural so hopefully it won't end up irritating my lips.
Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm "Blush Orchid" (x2)
These lip balms are somewhat new since they were just released a couple of months ago. I was always curious about these but I didn't want to pay $7-$8 for a lip balm so I decided to just wait for a sale. I am so glad that I waited since I got these for a couple of cents each! These are supposed to moisturize your lips while giving them a hint of color. I think Blush Orchid is a new shade that Burt's Bees recently came out with for Spring 2013 but please correct me if I am wrong.

Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick "04"
I think this was part of a limited edition collection that came out a while back but I could be wrong. Let me know if you know this shade is part of the core collection or a limited shade. When I first saw this shade, I knew that I just had to get it. Its my first dark lipstick and one to two layers is definitely opaque. I have already worn it three times and I really like it. 04 is a dark purple and if you would like to see swatches on this shade, definitely let me know!

So that is all that I bought for my Walgreens haul. I am so happy that I got great deals on all these products! I haven't tried all of these products yet but I have tried a couple and will be posting swatches up. If there is a particular product that you would like to see swatches on, please comment below and let me know! I actually can't wait to get the chance to try everything out soon.

QUESTIONS:
Have you tried any of these products yet?
Is there a particular product that you would like to see swatches on?

Haul : Almay Mascaras

Hey everyone! I just got back from Walgreens and of course had to bring back some goodies home with me. I had a manufacturer coupon for $5/2 Almay products! In my opinion, that is definitely a high value coupon. Usually for makeup, you would just see $1/1 coupons so I knew that I had to use the $5/2 coupon. I didn't really know what I wanted from Almay. I was thinking about buying some eyeshadows but since I realized how big my eyeshadow collection is, I decided that I should get something else. It took me a while to realize what I wanted so I just decided to go with a product that I have been wanting to try for months.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Almay Get Up & Grow Mascara
I have been wanting to try this mascara for the longest! I don't know why I never bought it before. It could be because I have so many unopened mascaras in my collection right now that its ridiculous how many I have but since I had a really good coupon for it, I decided to buy it. According to the packaging, this mascara claims to give you "visibly longer, stronger lashes." I have been hearing so much about this mascara, especially from EmilyNoel83 in her videos. Hopefully, it will work out for my short Asian lashes. I can't wait to try this but as of right now, I have so many other mascaras in my collection that I need to use first. This mascara was $8.99 plus tax.

Almay Triple Effect Mascara
I think this is a new mascara that Almay recently came out a few months ago. I am not sure but when I bought it, it was on a display with all the other new products in the front of the store. This mascara was actually $8.99 plus tax but it rang up as $9.99 plus tax. Good think that I caught it before I turned on my car. I had to go back in and get some of my money back. It took such a long time for them to figure out how to correct the transaction. At the end, I got my money back so I am happy. According to the packaging, this mascara claims to give you "fuller, longer, and curvier lashes." I just bought this mascara on a whim. I haven't heard anything about it so hopefully it will work out.

So that is all that I bought on my Walgreens haul. I actually can't wait to try out these mascaras but they are going to the back of my collection until I try the other mascaras that I bought before. If you have tried out these other mascaras, definitely let me know! I was actually a little worried that I wasn't going to post up this haul since I had some trouble finding one of the mascaras. I was freaking out that maybe the cashier accidently didn't put it in my bag but turns out it was just under my car seat. Whew!

QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried any of these mascaras before?
Do you have a huge collection of mascaras?

Nail Polish Removers Haul

Hey everyone! Today, I had some free time and decided to go check out my Walgreens on the way home. I was running low on nail polish remover since my sister is always using mines. I don't know why she never buys her own since she is always painting her nails and constantly using my nail polish remover but she never thinks to buy her own. LOL Sisters.. Usually I couldn't care less since nail polish removers aren't expensive but I just hate it sometimes when she finishes off a whole container and doesn't bother to throw it away or tell me so whenever I need to remove my polish, I can't because its all gone so that would mean that I would have to drive down to the nearest store and buy another one. Let me know if you have any sisters like that.

Well since my nail polish remover bottle was pretty much empty, I decided to buy another one. I really like the STUDIO 35 BEAUTY Regular Nail Polish Remover. It removes polishes very easily and it doesn't dry out my cuticles. Plus the smell isn't as harsh as some other ones that I have tried in the past. I am guessing the reason why it doesn't dry out my nails or cuticles is probably because it supposedly "protein enriched for natural nails." I don't remember the exact price but I think it was under $3 plus tax, which isn't bad for a 8FL OZ bottle.

I also decided to buy another nail polish remover to try. I never tried the nail polish removers in the jar packaging before but I have always been curious about it. The one that I bought is the STUDIO 35 BEAUTY Regular Nail Polish Remover. LOL I just realized while typing up the name that it has the same name as the bottle. Oh well. The difference between this one and the bottle is that it contains a sponge inside with slits where you can stick your fingers and twist inside to remove your polish easier. I have tried this so far and I don't really like it. I am thinking about just pouring all the remover into a bottle and using it that way. With all the finger twisting, my fingers get tired and sometimes it doesn't remove all the polish all the way off. If you would like to see a more in-depth review with pictures and demos, let me know and I will make a post.

Last but not least, I purchased the SALLY HANSEN Quick Care Clean-Up Manicure Pen. I already had one before that I bought on clearance at CVS last year but I wanted to pick up another one because I like using these to clean up any mistakes around my nails. Its actually pretty good and I like how they provide you with two replacement tips. I had mines for about over four months now and my first tip is still good. If you haven't tried this, you could probably use a regular q-tip and just dip it in nail polish remover. But I like using these manicure pens because its more portable and I don't have to worry about anything spilling.

So thats all that I bought! I am glad that I finally have another bottle of nail polish remover because now I can remove my polish anytime. If you have tried STUDIO 35 BEAUTY before, definitely let me know what you think of the brand. Plus if you have any other recommendations on what brand you like. I know that a lot of people like the Zoya one but thats pricey for a remover. I heard that CVS recently came out with a similar one to the Zoya one so I might get that next to try out.

Have you ever tried any of these products before?

Haul: Physicians Formula & BroadWay Nails

Hey everyone! Sorry if I have been busy lately and not posting as much. Yesterday was my birthday. I didn't get anything makeup related but I did get a dress. If you would like to see the dress, definitely let me know and I will take pictures! Okay onto the post, if you didn't know already, CVS had a sale last week on Physicians Formula products. The sale was $7 off any PF cosmetics that was $7 and over. The $7 was taken off automatically at the register. IMO this was a great sale because if you wanted to try something that was lets say $7.49, then you would only be paying $0.49 plus tax for the product. Plus if you bought $30 worth of selected items, you would get a $10 gas card. I thought that it was a really good deal so I decided to buy a couple of products that I have been wanting.

I didn't buy much and only just bought eyeliners. I have been wanting to try the lash boosting eyeliner with serum from PF for the longest. My lashes are pretty short so any product that can claim to lengthen them is a product that I definitely want to try. Since I wanted to try to lengthen them, I decided to buy the PF Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Felt Tp Eyeliner + Serum. I bought two because these were the last two with the stickers on them. I bought both of them in Deep Brown. I wanted Black but there wasn't any left at the store. I can't remember the exact price of these but they were automatically $7 off and plus they had "Try Me FREE" rebate stickers on them, which means that I will get my money back after I fill out the forms and send everything required in. I was going to buy the one with the clear serum but these had more product in them so I bought these instead. These were originally $10.99 but I only paid $3.99 plus tax and will be getting money back in rebates. Yay!

The other eyeliners that I bought are the PF Eye Definer Felt-Tip Eye Marker in Ultra Black. I bought three but already gave one to my sister since she loves eyeliners. Whenever I buy a new eyeliner to try out, I always buy an extra for her as well. I can't remember who but I remember someone saying that these were their favorite drugstore eyeliners. When I got home, I swatched it on my hand and it was very pigmented and black. I let it dry a couple of seconds and rubbed it like crazy and it stayed! I must warn you though that these are not waterproof because I rubbed it under water as well and it came off easily. I haven't tried it on my eye lids yet but once I gave it a try a couple of times, I will definitely do a review! This eyeliner was $7.49 but with the sale, I only paid $0.49 plus tax. I went to two different CVS stores because the first one that I went to only had one. The second CVS store had only 2 left and it was priced $7.79 so I paid $0.79 plus tax. I noticed that the second CVS store had higher prices on all their products. I don't know why the CVS stores had different prices because they are pretty much down the street from one another.

So that is all for my CVS haul. I didn't even notice that I bought all eyeliners until I bought everything to the cashier and he made a comment on me stocking up. LOL If you have tried any of these eyeliners before, definitely let me know how you liked or didn't like it. I would love to know! If you would like to see a review and/or swatches, definitely let me know as well. Also before you think this is a great deal and start heading to your CVS store, the sale is already over and ended on July 7. I did do a post a couple of days earlier on this deal so hopefully, you guys were able to take advantage of the deal while it lasted.

I also went to Walgreens because I had some extra time and it was on my way home. I didn't need anything from Walgreens. I was just curious to see what they would have in their clearance section. They didn't really have much but they did have a couple of nail polishes on clearance. The only bad thing was that all the nail polishes that were in the clearance section were either dried up (as in there was NO MORE product in the bottle) or they were spilling from the top. I don't know why Walgreens just won't throw them away. I thought it was pretty deceiving selling empty nail polish bottles because if someone was rushing, they might not notice and end up buying it. What do you guys think?

There wasn't any other beauty products besides a couple of St. Patricks Day false lashes and this Broadway Fashion Diva Mismatch Manicure, which I decided to buy. It was on clearance for $3USD but then reduced to $1USD plus tax! I thought that was a pretty good deal. I didn't really need anymore false lashes but I thought these were cute since they were so colorful. They are all different colors ranging from lime green, orange, and pinks. I don't know if I am going to end up keeping this or I might just decide to give it to one of my neices. What do you think? Should I keep it and wear them all in one manicure or should I try to figure out some sort of different nail look? Or should I just give it to one of my nieces?

Walgreens Haul (Feat. Ardell & Walgreens Facial Lotion)

Hey everyone! Remember when I went to Walgreens last week and bought a couple of Ardell lashes because they were on clearance! If you would like to see that post, you can CLICK HERE. I was told that they were going to clearance some more Ardell lashes and I am glad that I listened because there were a couple more. I guess I came a little bit late because there were only three left but thats better than nothing. I also bought some facial lotions because they were on clearance as well.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
Walgreens Oil-Free Moisturizing Facial Lotion SPF15 (X2)
I never tried Walgreens brand skincare before but these were on clearance. I was going to buy all of them but there were only three left and one was already opened and out of its packaging. I hate it when people do that. This Walgreens facial lotion is supposedly comparable to Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture SPF15 Lotion, which I have never tried before either but have heard good reviews about it. Since it was comparable to a pretty known drugstore skincare brand, Neutrogena, I decided to get it to try out. I bought two, one for myself and one for my mom to try out as well. These will probably be great for the Summer because they have SPF15 and they provide UVA/UVB protection. Plus they are also fragrance-free and won't clog pores, which is definitely great for those hot Summer days. These were on clearance for $0.89USD each!! Now that my friend is definitely a great deal!!

Ardell Special Occasion Lashes "Amore"
Ardell Special Occasion Lashes "Fairytale"
Ardell Special Occasion Lashes "Sublime"
Omg! I don't really need anymore false lashes but these were at such a great deal that I couldn't pass up. Plus they are still regularly priced at other stores. These were on clearance for $0.85USD each. Can you believe that? All these lashes were under a dollar each!! I love each of these lashes. They all look so cute! My favorite would have to be Amore because of how it looks but that might change once they are worn on. LOL

So that is all for my Walgreens haul!! Hopefully you all liked it and liked all the great deals that I was lucky enough to get! All of these items were under a dollar each and plus I had RRs, which made my OOP (out of pocket) even smaller. This was definitely a great haul for me IMO.

Walgreens Haul (Feat. Ardel Lashes)

Hey everyone! Oh my goodness! I am so happy with this haul. Today, I had to go to Walgreens because I had some RRs that were going to expire. I didn't know what to get and didn't really see any of the new displays that I spotted at this Walgreens store so I decided to hit up the clearance area like aways. LOL This time I freaken hit the jack pot. They had a cart full of stuff that were all under $1 each. I of course had to dig through everything because I love buying stuff at such great deals.

While moving some stuff around, I saw a bunch of Ardell lashes. Even better I saw these for regular price a few weeks ago. These lashes were for the Special Occasion display where these lashes are mostly meant for weddings. I am not getting married anytime soon or know anyone getting married but these lashes look really pretty. If you didn't know already, these lashes were part of the Special Occasion Collection that came out maybe one to two months ago. Plus I never tried Ardell lashes before so I had to get them. I end up getting pretty much all of them because they were only $0.85USD each. Now that is definitely a crazy deal. When I went up to the register to pay for my items, the cashier told me to make sure to some back again in the next few days because they had more of the Ardell lashes that were going to be on clearance. They were going to put them out all at the same time but they haven't had enough time to go through everything yet. I of course, told him that I am definitely coming back for me. So definitely expect more of these lashes in the next few days haul.

For right now, the lash styles that I was able to get were:
➸ Amore (X2)
➸ Dazzle

The style that I definitely can't wait to try are the Amore ones. I love how its all flared out and girly. I really think these lashes would be great for brides because of how full they look. Hopefully the next time I go, they will have more of the Amore designs and a bunch more on clearace. What do you guys think? Have you tried these lashes yet and which styles would you be wanting to try? Definitely let me know if you tried these lashes before and what you think of them!

Walgreens Haul

Hey everyone! This is a haul from a couple of weeks ago. I have been so busy posting my SPOTTED posts that I have been lagging on my HAUL posts. Most of the stuff that I bought are regular price and/or on clearance so products and prices varies by store. Now I have to admit, this haul is somewhat crazy. I confess that I went overboard but I justify that it was okay since the majority of my items were on clearance and were combined with coupons.

I am going to split up the products by grouping them into two groups, clearance and regular priced products. I am going to be talking about the regular priced products that I bought first because there are only three products. The products that I bought that were not on sale are:
WNW MEGALAST "209C CANDY-LICIOUS/ROSE BONBON"
This was regular priced at Walgreens for $1.99USD. I bought a couple of these MegaLast polishes before in their old packaging but haven't tried any in their new packaging. I heard that these are even better than their old ones so I can't wait. Candy-Licious looks like a gorgeous pink that I can't wait to wear on my nails.

WNW MEGALAST "213C ON A TRIP/EN VOYAGE"
On A Trip is a pretty purple that is going to be very unique in my collection. I don't have any purples similar to this so I know that I am already going to love it.

L'OREAL YOUTH CODE DAY LOTION SPF30
This was regularly priced for $4.99USD but I had a $2USD off coupon, so I only paid $2.99USD plus tax for this moisturizer. I never tried any L'Oreal skincare products before but I have heard reviews on the Youth Code line. This is the deluxe sample size and not the full size.

I was also lucky enough to find a couple of items in the clearance section. I think these were around 75% off and I had a couple of coupons that I used with them. I must warn you that what you are about to see is a bit too much. You might want to cover your eyes or something. Nah, I'm just playing you but it is a bunch of hair dye products. The products that I found the clearance section and bought are:
CLAIROL NICE 'N EASY PERFECT10 "4G DARK GOLDEN BROWN"
This was on clearance for $5.89USD but I had a coupon for $2USD off so I only paid $3.89USD for this. I mainly bought this for my mom because she has been searching for the best hair dye to have 100% long-lasting gray coverage. If you have tried this before, definitely let me know if its any good.

CLAIROL NATURAL INSTINCTS "12A LIGHT CARAMEL BROWN" (X2)
This was $4.59USD each and I had a coupon for $5USD/2, so it was almost like BOGO FREE. I haven't tried this yet but I have heard that Clariol is a great hair dye brand.

CLAIROL NATURAL INSTINCTS VIBRANT "5RB MEDIUM REDDISH BROWN" (X2)
This was also $4.59USD each and with my coupon for $5USD/2, its like I paid for one and got the other one for free. LOL I mainly got this because I love having brown hair with a reddish tint to it.

CLAIROL NICE 'N EASY "115 NATURAL MEDIUM COOL BROWN" (X2)
I haven't tried this one yet but its supposed to give you highlights as well as dye your hair all in one step. This should be very interesting.

So that is all that I bought at Walgreens. I know that buying all those hair dyes was a bit excessive but they were not all for me. I bought them for my mom, sister and me. We all dye our hair so these won't be going to waste. If you have tried any of these products before, definitely let me know! I would love to know what you think about the Clairol brand.

Haul (Feat. Sinful Colors, WnW, and PF)

Hey everyone! Recently I had the chance to go to my Walgreens and CVS. I really didn't know what I wanted to buy but I wanted to see if my Walgreens store had any of the new collections out yet. Of course, mines is always slow because they don't have them yet. I guess if I want any of the new products from the new collections that I spotted a while back, I would have to go to another Walgreens farther from my house. I didn't know what to get but I had a couple of RRs that were going to be expiring soon so I thought why not use them on nail polishes. Haha!

What I bought:
Sinful Colors Nail Polish in 952 Hazard
Sinful Colors Nail Polish in 1103 Island Coral
Sinful Colos Nail Polish in 835 Dancing Nails
WnW Wild Shine Nail Polish in Lady Luck/Dame Chance

I am not a fan of dark shades so all of the polishes that I bought are great for the Spring and the upcoming Summer. I haven't worn any of these shades yet but I can't wait! I bought a couple of polishes from Sinful Colors and one from WnW. These are all inexpensive. The Sinful Colors polishes were $1.99USD and the WnW nail polish was $0.99USD. So that is all from my Walgreens haul. If you would like to seeany swatches, please let me know!

So recently, I have been on the lookout for face highlighters (both liquid/cream and powder). I love using highlighters and think that they make a huge different on the face. Since I have been looking for the perfect highlighters, I decided to buy the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Concealer at CVS. Before you say that a concealer is not a highlighter, this set comes with a correcter, concealer, and a highlighter.

This is basically a 3-in-1 concealer. It comes with a soft yellow correcter, natural light concealer, and a pink highlighter.
  • - Soft yellow corrector: correcting dark circles and bluish imperfections
  • - Natural light concealer: conceals imperfections and under-eye circles
  • - Pink highlighter: illuminutes browbones and temples

I haven't tried this yet but it sounds like a great product. Its talc-free, allows the skin to breathe and minimizes the risk of irritation and breakouts. It sounds like a great product for those with sensitive skin. The packaging is a bit weird but nice at the same time because they're basically "vials" that can snap together and/or pull apart in case you want to bring them all or just one with you. I really like the concept of that. Plus there is also already an applicator included. The applicator is just a doe foot applicator like for lip glosses so its great for on the go touch-ups. I can't remember the exact price that I paid but I remember it was around $10USD plus tax. If you would like to see a review and/or swatches, please let me know!
