Sephora Haul (Feat. Sephora + Pantone Universe & Samples)

Hey everyone! So a few weeks ago, I went to Sephora to buy the Benefit The Pretty Committee but the Sephora store near me were sold out. Since they didn't have it, I decided to take a look around (bad idea LOL). I couldn't leave empty handed and wanted some new makeup to try. I have been seeing everyone haul products from the Sephora + Pantone Universe collection that I knew that I had to either get the whole complete set or just get one product. Since I couldn't compel myself to splurge the whole $68USD for the whole collection, I decided to buy the Color Of The Year Blush Duo. Since I am a blush addict, I knew that this would be perfect in my collection.

The Sephora + Pantone Universe Color Of The Year Blush Duo is blush duo comes with two shades: Coral & Desert Flower. The packaging is really nice and is pretty similar to Inglots packaging. This is a great blush duo because both shades are tangerine-inspired shades. Coral is a blush with the nice design and has gold shimmer. Desert Flower is great for those who love matte blushes because its a light orangey matte blush.

While checking out, I remembered that I had a magazine insert for a sample of Smashbox Halo in Light. I have never tried this stuff before but I heard that its a hydrating perfecting powder. I was hoping that the sample would come with a mini brush (like the BareMineral samples) but it just comes with a powder. Its supposed to give your face a more radient look and it has anti-aging benefits. I haven't tried it yet but I definitely will try it soon. I might save it for the summer because I love products that give the face a luminent glow.

While I was paying, the cashier (who was also the skin consultion for the store) asked me if I had any products that I wanted to try and sample. I told her that I was looking for a face moisturizer but I didn't know which would be good. I didn't know whether I wanted a moisturizer with SPF or not so dhe recommend two face moisturizers that have good reviews. The first one was OleHenriksen Truth Creme Advanced Hydratiom Facial Moisturizer. I remember that there was an ad about this in a magazine. I haven't tried it yet but it also had anti-aging properties in there, which is nice. The other one that she recommended me was the Boscia Vital Daily Moisturizer SPF15. I know that Boscia is a popular skincare brand so I can't wait to give this a try. Plus it has SPF15, which is always a bonus. I haven't tried either samples but if you have, definitely let me know.

So that is all for my haul. Sorry that it was posted a little bit late. I have been busy and I feel like Health & Beauty posts take a longer time to type up than Food posts. If you have any questions about any of the products that I bought, definitely let me know. Also if you have tried any of the samples that I got, definitely let me know as well because I wouldlove to know if they are worth trying out or not. Plus if you have a face moisturizer that you love, let me know which you would recommend because I am on the market for a good facial mositurizer, especially if it has SPF.

QUESTIONS:
Do you love going to Sephora as much as me?
Did you buy the Benefit The Pretty Committee set and/or the Sephora + Pantone Universe Color Of The Year Blush Duo?
Have you tried any of these products?

Review: Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

Hey everyone! Summer is coming and I am thinking that it is now the perfect time to review a couple of foundation primers that I have. A foundation primer is especially great, during the summer, because it keeps your foundation in place during the hot weather. It also helps your foundation apply smoothly. A foundation primer that I have been using and really liking is the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. Smashbox has a bunch of foundation primers, each having their own job like luminizing, moisturizing, colour correcting, anti-anging and priming. I haven't tried all these primers but I have tried the priming and the moisturizing one. I have been considering on getting the colour correcting primer as well as the luminizing one but right now, I want to finish up my current primers before I buy more since primers tend to take a while to finish up.

How Smashbox describes their Photo Finish Foundation Primer:
"Create a perfect canvas for foundation application with this silky, lightweight blend of Vitamins A & E, Grape Seed Extract and Green Tea. Worn alone or under foundation to increase longevity, our best selling primer helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores for flawless skin with a velvety -smooth finish. Oil-free! Winner of Best of Sephora Award for Best Primer, one of Marie Claire's '25 Products That Will Change Your Life,' and an Instyle Best Beauty Buy."

How Smashbox suggests to use:
"Apply a dime-size amount of Photo Finish Foundation primer to clean or moisturized skin, using fingertips, for complexion perfection. Follow with your favorite foundation."

I have the travel size version, which is 0.5 oz. I intended to buy the full-size version but the Sephora inside JcPenney that I went to didn't have the full size in stock so I had to get the travel size instead. This primer has lasted me for months and it looks like I barely even used it. With this, I never need a lot of product because a little goes a long way. Smashbox suggest using a dime-size amount but I use less than that and it covers my whole face. I also heard that this foundation primer improves your skin as well after repeated usage but I haven't seen any. The one that I have is clear, which I like because it can easily blend with any skin color. This one has a gel-like consistency, which makes it easy to blend. I would warn that this primer feels like you are rubbing silicone onto your face. To me, that doesn't really bother me. My face doesn't get really oily during the day (thank goodness!) but i really like the primer because it doesn't give my face any shine. It dries and absorbs into my skin fast, which is nice whenever you are running low on time. Whenever I apply this, my skin feels so smooth. It makes my foundation apply so much better and smoothly. Plus it does really make my foundation last longer on my face.

Interesting fact:
I didn't know about this little tip until I saw this on the Smashbox website. Smashbox says that you can use this foundation primer to tame frizzies as well, which is a little bit weird in my opinion. They say that you smooth the primer through wet or dry hair. I have never tried that tip and I probably never will. LOL Have you guys tried that tip before or even knew about it? Let me know what you think about it.
WHERE:
Online & Instores: ULTA and Sephora
Online: Smashbox

COST:
$49USD plus tax for 1.7oz
$36USD plus tax for 1.0 oz
$17USD plus tax for 0.5 oz (travel size)

All-in-all, I really like the foundation primer. I use whenever I know I am going to be out all day or whenever I know I am not going to have any time for touch-ups. It really does make my foundation last longer. I have tried other foundations from other brands but so far, the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer is my favorite. I will definitely re-purchase if I ever run out.
QUESTIONS:
Do you use foundation primers and if you do, which ones?
Have you ever tried the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer?
What do you think about this particular foundation primer?

Haul From A Lovely Friend (You Know Who You Are)

Hey everyone! Guess what I got some more goodies this week. This time I got it from a lovely friend and I am so lucky enough to have meet her! You know who you are, girl! LOL I actually got these products before I received my winning prizes from Gloria ♥. My friend found out that I was curious about Missha products and decided to give me some of the samples that she got from her purchase. She is so kind to give me these. I thought that she was just going to give me some Missha Perfect Cover B.B Cream samples but instead she surprised me with a bunch more goodies! Joan, if you are reading this, you are the sweetest friend ever and thank you again for everything!

What I got:
Missha Perfect B.B Deep Cleansing Oil
This is sort of like a makeup remover but made especially to remove B.B cream. It is a botanical deap cleansing oil for the removal of B.B creams. I guess B.B cream is a little hard to remove because this product is made especially for it. LOL I haven't used it yet. I have just been using my usual makeup removers. Once I do use this a few times, I will try to do a review on it.

Missha Perfect B.B Cream (x2)
Joan was generous enough to give me two different shades of samples. The shades that she gave me to try are No. 23 Natural Beige and No. 31 Golden Beige. No. 23 Natural Beige is the perfect shade for me! It matches my skin tone perfectly! I have only worn this three times and so far, I am loving it! It doesn't irritate my skin or anything. I am probably going to use this for now on instead of my usual foundations. I haven't tried the No. 31 Golden Beige one yet because I already fell in love with Natural Beige. LOL If you don't know what a B.B cream is, it is sort of like a foundation but lighter that orginated in Asia. It is said to help lighten the skin tone while reducing thr appearance of wrinkles and blemishes. Plus it has SPF42, which is great as well. I generally use one layer of this on my whole face and then add another layer onto where I have redness and blemishes.

Missha M B.B Boomer
I have tried this once so far and I think its sort of like a brightening primer for your B.B cream. It says that it makes your B.B cream last longer and gives your skin a brighter appearance with the pink pearl and soft afterfeel. You just apply this before you apply your B.B cream. Its very moisturizing and has the feel of a face moisturizer. I think that this is a great primer because I have tried using the B.B cream alone and it just doesn't have that same nice look.

Stila Illuminating Finishing Powder in Rose Gold
This is my first Stila product!! My friend said that this was her favorite highlighter. She bought this as her back-up before but I am guessing since she probably has hit pan on her first one, she decided to give her back-up to me. LOL You are too funny, girl! I have been using this as an all-over finishing powder over the B.B cream and it just gives my face that extra glow, which I am loving. It is pretty shimmery so I really need a light hand when using this.
Smashbox Fushion Soft Lights in Dusk
This is also my first Smashbox product! I have already tried an eye look with this because I love neutral shadows. Its not the most pigmented product and its somewhat awkard to have an eyeshadow brush in there in get the exact color but other than that, I still love it. Even though its hard to get the brush in there for the exact color, I do like how small and compact it is because it makes it so easy to bring with you during the day for any touch-ups.

AHA Brazilian Peel
At first I didn't really know what this was. I thought it was an actual needle with some kind of lotion inside but its actually a DIY professional strength treatment. LOL Its supposedly the first professional strength peel for at-home use. Its said to be safe and gentle but 5x stronger than than your typical low strength peels. I haven't tried this yet just because I am afraid that it might burn. LOL Yes, I know I am a scaredy cat. This brazilian peel is supposed to brighten, tone, firm, and smooth out your skin tone for a younger look.
Dermalogica Daily Defense Block SPF15
This is basically like a face moisturizer to use after washing your face. I haven't tried this yet or anything from the Dermalogica brand before. I am not sure if this sample is meant for females. It might be meant for males because on the back of the sample, it says to use after shaving, apply to your face, neck, ears, and the back of your neck so I am pretty sure that this is for the boys instead of for ladies. LOL
Dermalogica Intensive Eye Repair
I haven't tried this either but its basically an eye cream to reduce the look of prematurely-aged skin. You would just apply this onto the eye area and you can wear this alone or under your makeup.

Overall I love pretty much everything even the ones that I haven't tried yet. If you would like to see some swatches and/or reviews on a certain product, just comment below and I will try to do one! This month, I am especially loving the Missha B.B creams and now I know why everyone has been raving about Missha products. I thought I was never going to be able to get my hands on any Missha B.B creams and thought that I was just going to have to buy the Neutrogena one that has just recently come out but now I guess I don't have too. But I can't promise that for sure because I still want to try it out and compare it to the real orginal B.B creams. LOL Plus if there is a sale going on with the Neutrogena B.B cream then you know that I will be buying one because I love sales. LOL So thank you again Joan for everything. You are such a wonderful friend!! Love you, girl!
