CVS Clearance Haul (Part 1)
Hey everyone! Sorry its been a couple of days since my last post. I always try to post on my blog everyday but I had some cousins and nephews visiting and staying over at my house. I couldn't help but play with my baby nephew all the time while he was here. LOL He's just so freaking adorable with all his chubbiness. Is that even a word? Now that they are back home, I now have some time to get back to blogging now, although I do miss playing with him and making him giggle. Its just so adorable. But enough with my nephew and let's get onto the haul. If you didn't know already, CVS stores are now having their Beauty Clearance sale. If you plan on buying makeup, you should definitely go and check out this sale. You can get a bunch of great products for such great prices, especially if you have a bunch of coupons. I always make sure to bring my coupons with me whenever I go check out this sale because sometimes I can get items for little to nothing.
WHAT I BOUGHT:
◊ Almay Wake Up Eye Shadow + Primer "010 Revive" & "020 Exhilarate" & "030 Invigorate"
Yes, I know! I went a bit crazy when I bought these but I had a bunch of Almay coupons and these were on clearance. I actually bought (3) Revive, (2) Exhilarate, and (2) Invigorate. Each palette comes one eye shadow primer and three shadows. So far, I have tried the Revive one and I really like it. I really like using it to create soft green, neutral eye looks. I will be posting up swatches on this palette soon. If you want to see swatches on any of the other palettes, let me know by commenting below.
◊ Revlon ColorStay Brow Enhancer "Light Brown/Champange" (x2)
I actually never tried these before the clearance sale. This is dual ended, one side has the tinted wax and the other end is a highlighter. Its funny how only one came with a bonus grooming brush. These claim to set your brows with color while brightening the eye area. I have tried this for a while now and will posting up a review soon. I do wish that they had a darker shade since light brown has a red tint to it. I've been on the lookout for any good brow products, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know what should I try next.
◊ Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick "445 Teak Rose"
I love this line of lipsticks and recently found out that Revlon released some new ones in this line. Teak Rose is a gorgeous shade. Its a creme finish, which is nice because they usually are moisturizing and opaque on the lips. If you are looking for a great drugstore lipstick that offers a variety of shades and finishes, you should give the Super Lustrous line a try.
◊ Maybelline SuperStay 10HR Stain Gloss "110 Fresh Fuchsia"
I have never tried these before but since they were on clearance for $4.65 plus tax and I had a $2 off manufacturer coupon, I decided to give it a try. I didn't know how pigmented these were so I made sure to get a pink shade that looked like it would be pigmented with one application. So far, since I bought it, I have tried it twice. I might do a blog post on this showing swatches of this. All I can say for right now is that its really pigmented and is somewhat similar to the L'Oreal stain glosses in the gold packaging.
◊ Revlon ColorStay Nail Polish "280 Blue Slate" & "030 Calla Lilly"
I actually forgot that I already bought Calla Lilly a few months ago so hopefully I can return that even thought it was on clearance. Calla Lilly is a sheer milky white with bits of gold shimmer. Blue Slate is a somewhat dusty blue. Sorry I am not good at describing colors that well. Both polishes are really pretty and Blue Slate is definitely an opaque polish. Its opaque with one thick coat and/or with two coats.
◊ Sally Hansen Sugar Coat "700 Cotton Candies"
I bought this because I was curious about the whole textured nail trend. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a high end polish so I was glad to see that Sally Hansen came out with their own version. They had a bunch of different colors but you know me, I tend to gravitate toward pink shades so I had to pick this one up. I like how you can feel how the texture will feel like on the front of the bottle, it lets you know what to expect. I actually already have swatches on this, which you can CLICK HERE to see.
◊ Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat "500 Fuzz-Sea"
I was really interested to give these a try since they give that look of furry nails. I know that sounds a bit weird, furry nails but it actually looks very pretty and unique on the nails. I have already swatched it on my nail wheels and its pretty but you do need a couple of coats to get it fully opaque on your nails. I will probably be wearing this as an accent nail or maybe on all my nails. I like the color combo of it having blue, yellow and green "bar glitters." I haven't done a post on this polish yet but once I do, I will let you guys know.
So those are all the items that I bought during my first shopping trip for the CVS Clearance Sale. I am definitely going back so expect more hauls to come. I just can't help it whenever CVS has these sales and whenever I have great coupons to use with the sale, it makes it even harder to pass up the opportunity to save money on makeup! If you do plan on buying new makeup to try out, I definitely suggest you go and check out your CVS store because whenever they have their clearance sale, things tend to sell out fast! Also let me know which items you would like to see a review or swatch post first. Plus I would also love to know if you tried out any of these products before and what you thought about them.

Lips Of Day For Tết
Hey everyone! If you guys didn't know, this Sunday was Lunar New Years. Since it was New Years, I wanted to wear as much red as I could without looking overly done. Expect an outfit post coming soon. Since I didn't really have any true red shirts, I decided to incorporate some red lips into my FOTD. Now if you know me, you would know that I don't really wear a lot of red lipsticks since I think pinks and nudes are more easier to wear and maintain throughout the day. Red lips are a bit more high maintenance, if you ask me but since I recently bought an ELF Studio Lip Lock Pencil, I decided to give it a try with some reds. Thats why you can somewhat see a white (highlighted) line around my lips in the picture.
Since I wanted to incorporate red in my FOTD, I went through my entire lip product drawer in search of the perfect red. To my surprise I actually don't have many reds. Since I didn't own a lot of reds, it was definitely easy to chose the perfect combo.
What I wore on my lips:
- TARTE LipSurgence Natural Lip Tint "Swank"
- TARTE Lip Gloss "Nuria"
- ELF STUDIO Lip Lock Pencil
QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried any Tarte lip products?
Did you celebrate Lunar New Years?

Last Sephora Haul 2012 (Feat. Tarte, Sephora, Smiths, & Clinique)
Hey everyone! If you read the title, then you would know that these are my last purchases from Sephora for the year 2012. I didn't buy all of these in one transaction but just decided to just combine them into one post. As you can see with my haul, I didn't get much. The first time, I didn't even know that I was going to buy anything but went inside with the sole intent to return an item that I had changed my mind about. I am sure that you guys all had the same dilemma as me. You walk in to JUST look around or to exchange/return something but end up walking out with a bunch of stuff that you didn't intend to buy. I went another time to use up a gift card that I had and also wanted to look around to see if they had any good products on sale. Man I love getting Sephora gift cards! LOL Sorry if this post is late, I had trouble uploading the pictures onto blogger, for some reason the upload button wouldn't show. Weird.
What I bought:
TARTE FANTASTIC FOURSOME SET
I am so happy that I found this set. I wasn't sure if I was going to buy this the when they first came out and when I saw it in person because they were all mini sizes. I didn't buy it the first time and have been regretting it ever since then. I have been checking the Sephora website and hoping that they would bring it back in stock but they never did. So when I walked into a Sephora that I rarely go to (because its a bit far from me) and saw that they had one left, I literally ran to the Tarte counter and grabbed it up. I didn't care about anything else, I just ran straight to it and felt like the skies just opened right there for me. LOL It went right into my basket, without any further hesitation. This set contains 2 mini size blushes "Fantastic" & "Magic", bronzer "Stellar", and a highlghter "Angelic". According to the packaging, Fantastic is described as a shimmering champagne, Magic is a pink coral, Stellar is a shimmering nude, and Angelic is a shimmering champagne.
TARTE FALLING FOR HUE SET
First off, I wasn't going to buy it but when Marie Lisa Tran told me that they were on sale at the Sephora inside JcPenney stores, I knew that I had to pick one up. This was originally $28 but it was on sale for $17, plus I had a git card with $5 on it so I only paid around $12 for this. It comes with three full size products so $12-$13 for all three is an extremely great deal!! Imagine if I were to buy two drugstore lipglosses and one drugstore blush, I would have paid way more than $12-$13 so paying that price for high-end makeup is wow! Plus its Tarte!! This set comes with an Amazonian Clay 12HR Blush "Charisma" and two Rise & Shine Lipgloss & Stain "Pink" & "Nude." Even without the sale, this set was a great deal alone because one Rise & Shine Lipgloss & Stain retails for $10 on the Tarte website and an Amazonian Clay 12HR Blush is originally $25 each.
SMITH'S STRAWBERRY LIP BALM
I never tried this lip balm before but thought to give it a try since my lips have been really dry lately. Right now, I have been using the little jar of Vaseline and its really been helping but I wanted to try out other brands as well. I still haven't tried this yet and didn't check any reviews on it. Hopefully it will work out in the end, if not, I still have my little jar of Vaseline.
SEPHORA CREAMY BODY WASH "COCONUT" & "MANGO"
I bought two of the coconut ones to give to someone as stocking stuffers. The mango one is for me to try out. I love mango so I thought that it would be fun to try out. These were under a dollar and I just wanted to try them out. Plus I thought that they would be perfect for traveling and since my friend tends to travel a lot, I thought that these would be great to try.
SAMPLE: CLINIQUE 3-STEP SKIN CARE SYSTEM
This sample comes four uses of the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap, Clinique Clarifying Lotion, and the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. The four uses are enough for two days and two nights. I have heard so many great reviews about these products, so I am glad that I got the chance to try out some of their products. Hopefully these will do something for my skin.
As always, I always ask for some samples. Sorry I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the samples because I already put them away and threw the paper covers away. The SA asked me what kind of sample I was interested in and I asked her if she had any perfume samples. I don't know why but I love collecting perfume samples. Maybe its because the samples are so small and different colors so they all look great together in a container. Plus they are great to just try into your purse and bring with you on travels. She actually let me pick out which samples that I wanted out of a container full of perfume samples. I picked out three: HELLO KITTY, KAT VON D POETICA, and LADY GAGA FAME. I have been wanting to try out the Lady Gaga perfume so I am so happy that I finally have the chance to smell it.
So those are all the products that I bought from Sephora! Plus its also my last Sephora haul for the year 2012! Granted they weren't all purchased in one haul but you guys get the point either way. I am so happy with all everything that I bought, even though I haven't tried everything out yet. I am just so happy that I got the chance to buy some more Tarte products because I really want to expand my Tarte collection, especially their blushes. If you guys want to see some swatches an reviews on any of these products, let me know. I was debating on whether to post up swatches on the cheek products in the Fantastic Foursome set because the set was a limited edition set and I don't know if the colors are in the core collection. Let me what what you guys think and if you would still like to see some swatches! Other than that, I hope you all had a great New Year's and I hope that you guys all have a great start with 2013!

Haul (Feat. TRESemme, Revlon, Maybelline, and Milani)
Hey everyone! I just wanted to show you guys what I bought a few weeks ago at CVS. I think I went there mainly because I had some CVS coupons that I wanted to use up before they expired. Plus some of the coupons allowed me to easily get "free" makeup and just pay tax with the sales going on during that week, so of course I had to take advantage of them. I actually went to two different CVS stores because the one by my house didn't have any of the products that I got get for "free" with my coupons, as always. They never carry any of the new products. I should have known better but I didn't. LOL The second CVS store was a bit further but they always tend to have new displays out and the store is bigger than the one by my house.
What I bought:
Milani Illuminating Face Powder "03 Beauty's Touch"
I have been wanting to try this for the longest but wanted to wait for a sale to get this. Its regularly $9.99 but I bought it on sale with some CVS coupons so I think I got it for around $3 plus tax. I bought this mainly to either use as a blush or a highlighter, depending on how well it illuminates on my cheeks. On the back, it says that you can use it as a bronzer as well, which I highly doubt. I think they meant that for their other shades but I wish that they didn't put that on all their shades because what if a makeup beginner acually got confused and didn't know better and actually used this on herself as a bronzer. Oh no!
Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss "002 Crystal Liliac"
I love these ColorBurst lipglosses but wish that it was easier to get the remaining product out. The first one that I ever bought is almost all gone but I still have a little bit left at the bottom and the doe applicator doesn't reach all the way down there so that sucks. I think the first obne that I ever got was called Sunset Peach or Sunset something. I can't remember but I really liked the consistency and formula so I wanted to try out the other shades as well. Crystal Liliac is a gorgeous bubblegum pink with pinkish-purple shimmers.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain "025 Sweetheart"
I love these Kissable Balm Stains, probably even more than the Lip Butters, which I bought so many of. Sweetheart is a gorgeous bright hot pink that I feel will look gorgeous with any neutral eye looks because it will brighten up my face. Plus these actually stain my lips and don't rub off. If you are on the lookout for a good lip stain, you might want to try these because they are really moisturizing unlike other stains that I have tried.
Maybelline Single Eye Shadow "Silver Lining"
Usually I wouldn't really buy this because I like their palettes better but I had a CVS coupon for $1.50 off any Maybelline product and a $1 off manufacturer coupon so I pretty much got this for free with overage because it was 50% off in the clearance section. I haven't used this yet but I will probably be using it for nighttime looks. It looks like it would be great for a smoky eye look.
TRESemme FrestStart Dry Shampoo Volumizing
This is in the travel size. I have always wanted to try this since I have heard great reviews on it. I have only tried the Sauve dry shampoo and didn't really like it because it made my hair oiler than usual. Hopefully this one will work out and because its travel size, it will be great to bring along on vacations. I had a coupon for this as well and only paid under $0.50 cents for this!! If you have tried this before, definitely let me know whether you like it or not.
So that is all for my haul. I think I got everything for under $8 and actually got some back in ECBs, making my actual total even lower! So far, I have tried some of the products already and I really like them. I haven't tried the TRESemme one yet because I am saving that for an upcoming vacay. I'm glad that I was able to get everything for such a great deal, especially the Milani Illuminating Powder and the Revlon lip products since those are all close to $10 plus tax.
QUESTIONS:
Have you tried any of the products yet?
What do you think of my haul?
Have you ever gone extreme coupon shopping before?

Ulta Haul: 40% Off NYX & Revlon
Hey everyone! Sorry if this haul is a bit late. I have been busy getting stuff done around the house that I haven't had time to post much. I still need to get my September Hits up as well. I already took the pictures and now I just need to type everything up. So if you didn't know already, a few weeks ago, Ulta had a awesome sale where Revlon, Almay, NYX, and Physicians Formula products were 40% off. I rarely see those kinds of sales anymore from drugstores. Once in a while, RiteAid has Revlon for 40% off but my closest RiteAid closed down months ago.
I was so excited when Ulta had this sale that I knew I had to go there to check it out. I even ended up going there twice because the first time I went, I wasn't in much of a shopping mood. There were so many people opening products and swatching them. It was so annoying. There were a bunch of people talking about how they were buying them for their makeup gigs and for their traincases. I don't understand how they can be makeup artists and still do that. I mean don't they get annoyed when other people do that. Plus what really annoyed me was that some of the produts has testers (like the blushes and powders) in front and instead of swatching the testers, they would open up the new products and swatch them instead and put them back if they didn't end up liking them! Seriously??!! I literally wanted to smack those people upside their heads. LOL
What I bought:
NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss (x3)
I went sort of crazy on lip products and bought three. I wanted to buy more but I started noticing people swatching them and putting them back. Urgh, I hate it when people do that! I wish that NYX would put plastic seals on these because its hard to tell if someone before you opened it or not. I had to check the ones that I bought for any messy fingerprints or spilled product. I decided that once I give them a try and if they were opened already, I can just go back and return them. The shades that I bought are Salsa, Nude Pink, and Sugar Pie. Salsa is a cool-toned pink with shimmer. Sugar Pie is a frosty light nude with shimmer and Nude Pink is a creamy neutral pink. I can't remember the price that I paid but I think there were around $3 plus tax. I know that I should have bought some fall shades but I just love my pink shades so much.
NYX Blush "Bourgeois Pink"
I love blushes and whenever there are blushes on sale, there's definitely a chance that you would find me there. I only have a couple of NYX blushes and I really like the ones that I have so I decided to buy more to add to my collection. There wasn't that much to choose from when I went because everything was already picked over or out of stock. I am glad that NYX seals their blushes (even though I wish they would put a seal around their other products ie. lip glosses). Since there wasn't that much of an option, I decided to pick out Buorgeois Pink, which is a matte pink blush. I bought this mainly because I think it will give my cheeks a gorgeous flush look.
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil "604 Milk"
I am so happy that I finally got my hands on Milk!! I have been wanting this shade forever but it has always been out of stock at my Ulta store. The first time I went, they didn't have it in stock but the second time, I noticed that the had a bunch of NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in front of the store in glass jars. I bought this mainly to use in the inner corners of my tear ducts and to use as an eye shadow base. Plus I heard that this is really good to use on the waterline as well to make your eyes seem more bigger and more awake.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain (x2)
Oh my goodness, I am so happy to finally have gotten my hands on these! These remind me of Clinque Chubby Sticks (which I have never tried) and Tarte LipSurgences. I only bought two so I could try them out first to see how much I would like them. I know that everybody has been raving about these but sometimes products can get overhyped in the beauty world like the EOS lip balms. The shades that I bought are 015 Cherish/Devotion and 025 Sweetheart/Valentine. I don't know why they have two names or maybe they just all have two words for the shade names. Cherish is a light purple with a pink undertone and Sweetheart is a bright pink.
Revlon PhotoReady Bronzer "100 Bronzed & Chic"
I have been looking for this bronzer everywhere since it came out and am so glad that I found it on Ulta. I was worried that it was limited edition and that I was going to miss out but thank goodness that its not limited edition and that I now finally have my hands on it! Yay! I can't wait to give it a try. Bronzed & Chic has four bronzer shades that you can use separately or mix them all together. I think I am going to use all four shades together all over my face and mix the bottom two as my contour shade.
Last but not least, I also got a sample. Whenever I go to Ulta, they never give me samples even when I spend more than $50. The only time they ever give me samples at checkout is when I ask for it and sometimes the cashiers are nice but sometimes they get cranky when I ask. The mean ones need to get their act together because thats what samples are for, for people to try them out, fall in love with them and buy them. This time I got a rude cashier and she only gave me one sample. She even gave me a look when I asked her if she had any samples. I didn't know what sample she put in my bag until I got into my car and saw that it was a sample of Justin Bieber Girlfriend perfume. I haven't smell this yet but I do love the full size packaging of the bottle.
So that is all that I got for my Ulta haul. Sorry that its a bit late but better late than never! I hope you guys like my haul and if you would like to see any reviews or swatches, definitely let me know. I know that it isn't much but I think that it was enough for now, especially since Ulta tends to have this 40% off sale once a year. LOL Is it weird that I can't wait for the next time they have this sale?
QUESTIONS:
Did you take advantage of the 40% sale at Ulta?
Have you ever tried any of these products before?

Going Crazy For CVS Clearance Sales
Hey everyone! This haul was definitely long over due. I was surprised that I hadn't post it already. I think it was because I went so many times during the CVS Clearance Sale that there were some hauls that I just forgot to post. Next time, I am just going to save all my clearance items and combine them all into one collection haul post because we all know that whenever CVS has their clearance sales, I always end up going more than once. This time I probably went five times, which is a bit crazy but I couldn't help it, especially seeing all the great items that everybody else gets.
I can't remember how much I paid for these items but I can remember that I had coupons for almost every item but one. Plus they were all on clearance and chances were that I had used a 20% off CVS coupon since I always get those during these sales, which saves me even more money. Out of this haul, there were only two products that I have never tried before and have always been curious about. I admit, if they were never on clearance, I would have never bought them. Yes, I am that much of a cheapie. LOL The only time when I buy something that I WANT and not NEED is when the item is on sale and if I have any coupons for it. I just hate wasting money on items that I just want because they are new on the market and maybe end up hating them.
In this haul, I only bought 4 items and all of them are beauty items. I bought two L'Oreal items, one CoverGirl, and one Essence of Beauty brush. The items that I bought were:
- L'Oreal Telescopic Explosion Mascara "985 Blackest Black"
- L'Oreal HIP Color Chrome Eyeliner "920 Gold Charge"
- CoverGirl Outlast All Day Lipcolor "540 Pink Delight"
- Essence of Beauty Smokey Eye Shadow Brush
So that is all for my haul. I didn't buy much but I sure did save a lot with my coupons! The only products that I have tried so far is the CG Outlast and the Essence of Beauty brush. If you didn't know already, Essence of Beauty is a CVS store brand and can only be found at CVS stores. They have some really great quality, affordable brushes that definitely don't get noticed much as they should. If you would like to see any reviews on these products, please let me know!
QUESTIONS:
Did you buy anything from the CVS clearance sale a while back?
Have you tried any of these products?

Crazy RiteAid Makeup Haul
Hey everyone! So if you didn't know already, the RiteAid in my area closed down. It closed down a while ago and this haul is a month old. SMH This haul was probably done a week before they closed and everything in the store was 75% off!! There wasn't that much left because I came a little late into the sale and all the makeup was thrown into boxes. It was so messy lookig through the boxes. There was some spilled nail polishes and opened lipsticks. It was just such a hassle but because everything was 75% off, I made myself look through every box twice. LOL I didn't get that much because I was with my little brother and he was bothering me the whole time to go home. He kept on saying "Lisa, you already have too much makeup. You don't need anymore. Let's go!" He was constantly pulling on my arm too. SMH Sometimes its a good thing when he does that but when its 75% off, you can't beat a deal like that. I sort of even regret not buying more because people were going crazy on the makeup.
I didn't get much because I wanted to limit myself. I just bought a couple of products that I have been wanting to try but couldn't justify paying full price for them and a backup for my all time favorite foundation. I also bought two lip products for my mom because she has been on the hunt for long lasting lip products. Here are all the items that I bought:
FACE:
➸ Physicians Formula Mineral Glow Pearls Powder Palette "Beige Pearl"
I have never tried these before but I heard that these make great highlighters. On the back of the packaging, it says that its "unique palette of multi-colored pearls blends together to create an instantly glowing complextion and a perfectly even skin tone." I plan on using this as a highlight for the top of my cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose. Summer is the perfect time to start using this.
➸ Almay Clear Complexion Foundation "600 Sand"
This is my overall favorite foundation. I have back ups of this. Right now I am on my last one on the old packaging. I can't wait to start using the ones in the newer packaging because they come with pumps! I don't know if this is the correct shade for me but it was 75% off. I figure that if its too light, I can use bronzer all over and if its too dark, I can use a lighter foundation. Either way, I can't really go wrong.
➸ L'Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer "862 Light"
I haven't seen any reviews on this concealer so I don't really know if its any good. I bought this mainly because its a concealer thats supposed to give off a glow. I thought it would be perfect for the under eye area since it will give my face a brighten look. I actually wasn't going to buy this because it was covered in something sticky but since it was completely sealed in plastic, I bought it anyways since I can always remove the plastic sealing and it would be clean.
➸ Maybelline DreamLumi Touch Highlighting Concealer "340 Buff"
This is another concealer that I haven't tried yet but its pretty much the same concept as the L'Oreal Magic Lumi Concealer. Its a gel based concealer that illuminates shadows while concealing the under eye area. You can use this around the inner corner of your eyes, on the top of your cheekbones, the sides of your nose, and on the corners of your mouth. I wanted to buy a lighter shade but Buff was the only one that I could find, digging through all the boxes.
EYES:
➸ L'Oreal HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner "960 Eggplant"
I have been on a hunt for the best gel/cream eyeliner. So far I have tried the one by Maybelline, ELF Stduio, and WnW. The ELF Studio was not my favorite because it dried up within a couple of days o using it. My favorite for right now is the Maybelline one but its sort of pricey for a drugstore liner. Since this one was 75% off, I decided to give it a try. I have always wnated to give this liner a try but its pretty pricey regular price. Sorry about the dirty packaging. I think some pink nail polish spilled and some got onto the packaging and dried.
➸ L'Oreal HIP Shocking Shadow Pigments "914 Intrepid"
I actually thought that these were discontinued a long time ago but I have now been spotting these in other stores as well. I don't really like using pigments that much because they are messy to apply but I couldn't pass this up because its a gorgeous shade. I also remember reading somewhere that its a complete dupe to Too Faced Label Whore and MAC Club but both are pressed shadows while Intrepid is a loose pigment. Intrepid is a gorgeous green-teal with shimmer.
➸ L'Oreal 24HR Infallible Eyeshadow "889 Midnight Blue"
Midnight Blue is a gorgeous shade. Its a navy blue with a black base. I wasn't even going to buy this because I'm more of a fan of neutral shades. I have never worn blue shadow before and the only thing blue that has even gone on my eyes is blue eyeliner but never blue shadow. I have been wanting to give these a try since they came out and since it was 75% off, I had to get it. Hopefully I will find some way to wear it on my eyes without looking like I got punch in the eyes. LOL
LIPS:
➸ Revlon Just Bitten Lip Balm + Stain "Flame"
This is a lip product that I bought for my mom. She has been on the search (or should I say that I have been on the search for her LOL) for the best long lasting lip product. My mom doesn't really have anything in mind and doesn't care if its a gloss or a lipstick as long as it lasts all day so I thought that she could give this a try. If you know any lip product that would provide all day color on the lips (without having to reapply constantly throughout the day), please let me know. I have heard great reviews on the Revlon Lip Balm Stains but I am waiting for those to go on a good sale before I buy them. Haha!
➸ CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor "619 Lingering Spice"
I remember hearing Judy from ItsJudyTime rave about these CG lip products and how long they last on the lips. I was actually looking for a pink shade but this was the only one that I could find. I have tried one before and I didn't really like it. My mom wanted a lip product that would give her lips the long lasting color. I am guessing maybe that they changed the formula since Judy loves them so much. This comes with a lip gloss that is supposed to stay on all day on your lips and comes with a lip balm to give your lips moistured during the day.
So that is all for my 75% off RiteAid haul. I did end up going back when they had their 90% off but I didn't get much and haven't taken pictures yet. I will try to get that haul posted up sometime this month, maybe sooner. If you guys have tried any of these products before, definitely let me know how you like them. Plus if you would like to see reviews and/or swatches on any of these products, definitely let me know. If you have questions on any of these products, let me know as well by either messaging me or leaving a comment below and I will try my best to answer them.

Review/Swatches: CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor "619 Lingering Spice"
Hey everyone! If you didn't know already, I recently bought this CG Outlast All-Day Lipcolor in 619 Lingering Spice from the CVS Clearance Sale this year. I think I bought it for around $5USD and I had an $1 off coupon, which isn't that bad. I bought one of these a long time ago (2 years ago) and I didn't love it. It dried out my lips and applied dry and patchy. Since Judy from ItsJudyTime raves about these, I decided to try another one for myself. I don't know if they changed their formula but I still wanted to try one because of Judy. I actually wanted a pink shade but most of the shades that were on clearance were on the red range.
If you never tried these before, these come with an all-day color coat. The all-day color coat is basically a lip stain in lip gloss form. It dries pretty quickly on the lips but you still have to let it set on your lips for a couple of seconds for the color to fully stay on your lips. It also comes with a moisturizing top coat, which is just basically a lip balm. This is meant to be used after the color coat fully dries. You can keep reappling the moisturizing topcoat throughout the day to keep your lips moisturized but keep in mind, the more you apply throughout the day, the more it rubs the actual color and stain off. To me, that is the only con for this product. I am a person who likes to keep my lips moisturized all day, so if you are with me for a whole day, you would constantly see me either pull out a lip gloss or a lip balm. I cannot stand having dry lips because it would constantly bother me.
The first time I tried this, I swatched it on the back of my hand to try out first. I let it dry and tried to rub it off my hand but it wouldn't bulge. I even went to wash it and the color was still on my hands. The swatch actually stayed on my hand ALL DAY and was still faint the next morning. But when I applied it on my lips, it was a total story. When I applied it onto my lips, the color became faint throughout the day. I actually think the color would last longer if I didn't apply the lip balm but then my lips would be dry.
Overall, I think this would be great for a couple of hours but probably not something that you could depend on lasting all day on the lips. Also, one thing that I love and have to point out lastly is the moisurizing topcoat. I love the smell of this. It smells so much like fruit roll ups. Haha! What about you guys? Have you ever tried this CG Outlast All-Day Lipcolor before? Definitely let me know what you think about this.
