Recently Spotted: All New Drugstore Makeup

Hi everyone! I was recently at RiteAid buying some items for my mom and I noticed that there were so many new products out. I haven't been to a drugstore in a while because I have been so busy. Since the lines to check out were somewhat long and they only had one cashier available, I thought to myself, might as well kill some time and check out the new makeup displays and take some pictures for you guys to see! I am sure that everyone in line was thinking that I was funny or weird taking pictures of the new displays, plus it didn't help when I forgot to mute my phone and every time I took pictures, you would hear a loud click. LOL Don't worry, I finally turned it off after a few clicks. Didn't notice after a while since I was so excited with all the new makeup out.

By the way, I just want to apologize for some of my pictures. Some of them are in the wrong direction. I don't know how to fix that. To tell you truth, that is one of the main reasons why I haven't been blogging as often, that and being busy with work. It is just so irritating seeing my pictures in the wrong orientation and not knowing how to fix it. If you guys know how to fix that problem, please leave a comment below telling me how to solve that problem.

For those that haven't had the chance to try out the Physician's Formula Super BB Cream, you can actually buy the trial size. I think the full size regularly retails for a little over $12 before tax but now you can buy the deluxe trial size for just $3.95. If you want to see how the size compares to the full size, you can scroll down. I took a picture of the two side by side.

If you have been wanting to try out the PF Super BB Cream but don't want to pay $12 for it and about $4 for a little one, just head over to Instagram. I am selling the full size ones in "Light/Medium" for $4 each. I have a few left so if you are interested, better hurry. My selling Instagram is @MakeupFromLisa

L'Oreal finally came out with eyeshadow crayons! If you have tried any L'Oreal Infallible eyeliners, then you would know how creamy and pigmented they are. Lets hope that these have the same formula and color intensity. I love the range of colors that they came out with.

My love for Revlon lip products is constantly growing! When I first saw these, I told myself that I will definitely be buying some to try out, mainly the lipsticks. I think that Revlon lipsticks are the best drugstore lipsticks out there. With it being Fall and Winter almost here, I can see the dark colors first selling out fast.

Revlon came out a new foundation for their PhotoReady line. This one claims to give you the airbrush look. Plus it comes with a pump, which is always a great thing for drugstore foundations.

Again, sorry for the weird orientation of the picture above. I don't know how to fix it. If anybody knows, please let me know. For me to fix it, I would have to upload it about 4 to 5 times before the orientation is right and I don't have time for that. Anyways, this is another product for the PhotoReady line. This is the Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Fix Multi Use Balm. I think this is somewhat the same concept as the Mally one. I can't remember the name but this claims to prime and smooth skin when worn under makeup and can be used for touch ups to eliminate shin when applied over makeup.

Another new drugstore foundation but this time, from CoverGirl. I love how it comes in a plastic container. Hopefully that will help stop people from opening makeup and swatching it. I hate it whenever I would buy a product, take it home and only to find out that it was swatched already when I got home. I think they should start doing this to all makeup or already start sealing the whole product from top to bottom in plastic. LOL

Please let me know if you guys have tried any of these new products and what you guys think about them. I would love to know your opinions on them. If you guys have any questions, please let me know and I will try my best to answer them. As always, thank you for reading and I hope you guys enjoyed my posts!

Spotted: CoverGirl New TruBlend & TruMagic Products

Hey everyone! Look at this huge display! I can't believe that I almost walked past it. The CVS store that I went to had huge storage tins all over the beauty aisles, which was really annoying. I don't know how they would even sell any items with storage tins blocking everything. That's why my first picture was a bit blurry. It was kind of hard for me to take a picture of the whole display with storage tins all around me. I was so afraid that someone might bump into them and it would come crashing all down on me. Scary! So I did all this for you guys! CoverGirl came out with a bunch of new products for their new TruMagic line. They came out with "primer," foundations and concealers. If you are interested, definitely keep reading, especially if you are a CoverGirl fan! Plus I also include a few swatches of the products shown because the display had testers! What is even better is that each shade of the foundations had it's very own tester so now everyone can find their perfect shade.

(L-R) The Mattifier, The Sunkisser, and the Luminer
The first product that I am going to show you guys are the CoverGirl TruMagic Skin Perfectors. I have heard that some people say that these remind them of the Mally Poreless face Defender. I think that's what Mally's product is called. I have seen it and the actual product is pretty similar to the first shade shown in the picture. I haven't tried the one from Mally so I can't compare the two but I am sure that someone out there already has done a blog post or a video comparing the two already. There are 3 different shades for the Skin Perfectors. They are the Mattifier, the Sunkisser and the Luminizer. Each has it's own purpose as you can tell from its name. These claim to be oil-free and soft to the touch. You can use these under and/or over your makeup. I was mainly interested in the Mattifier and the Sunkisser, to be honest. I was definitely excited that the display has testers for me to swatch and post for you guys!

I was pretty excited to try these out. I don't really use primers but I do love trying out products that claim to give you a mattifying finish. I don't really like foundations that claim to give a glow because I feel like my face just looks oily throughout the day. I prefer having a matte finish so this seemed like an interesting product. It did have an interesting feel to it. These do look like a cream product in the packaging but they feel like a solid gel type consistency. When swatches, this has a clear look to it. It swatched it on my hand and it made me hand look pore-less and matte. I am not sure if you can see that in the picture but if you zoom in, you would be able to tell. If I were to buy this, I think I would definitely love using this under my makeup as a primer.

This one is called the Sunkisser. It has the same solid gel-like consistency. When swatched on the hand, this product reminds me of a cream bronzer. I really like this product and think it will be great to use as contouring. It blended so well when I swatched it on my hand. Since this is a solid gel-like consistency, I feel like I would have better luck contouring with this than with an actual cream bronzer. Let me know what you guys think as well.

This one is called the Luminzer and it has the same consistency as the other two products. shown above. The Luminer looks like a golden shimmery product in the pan but once swatched, all you really see is the yellow golden shimmers. I am not sure how I feel about this but then again, I only swatched it twice. Haha! All three TruMagic Skin Perfectors have a silky feel to it. If you haven't tried them yet, out of the three that I have tried from the testors on the display, I would probably end up buying the Mattifier and the SunKisser because of how it performs on the skin.

I love how CoverGirl came out with a variety of shades for this line. They have some for light, medium, and deep skin tones. I do wish that they had regular names for the shades, rather than numbers. I am just weird like that. Usually I would buy medium beige and any shade similar to my skin tone with the name beige in it. Most of the time that works for me. Haha! I am glad that each shade has a tester because that makes it so easy to find your correct shade. Too bad not all drugstores do this with their new and permanent products.

First off let me say that these foundations come with pumps!! When I pumped some onto my fingers, I noticed that the foundation is definitely on the runny side. I have to say from what I noticed is that its not heavy coverage. I would say with one layer, its probably light to medium but more light coverage. It would have been better if I had swatched it on the back of my other hand because I have a mole on that hand so it would be better to see the coverage.

The new display also came with new CoverGirl TruBlend FixStick Concealers. These pretty much remind me of the L'Oreal stick concealers, packaging-wise. I don't know how well they perform but I remember a lot of people loving the L'Oreal one when it first came out. People were crazy over the L'Oreal ones because they were great as a concealer (under eye and blemishes), eyeliner (to brighten up the waterliner), inner corner highlight, and etc. I wonder if these are meant for different uses. Let me know if you guys have tried these or if you have seen any of these products at your stores. I would love to hear your opinions on all these products and whether or not you would love to try these.

Spotted: CoverGirl Catching Fire Collection

Hey everyone! Who is excited for the second Hunger Games movie, Catching Fire? I can definitely say that I am and wish that it was already out in theaters so I can watch it right now. In case you guys didn't know, the movie comes out on November 22 and I am so excited! As much as I can't wait for all the movies in the series to come out, I will also be sad when they are done with the movies. If you guys haven't read the Hunger Games series, you should. Trust me, you will love it!

Anyways CoverGirl recently did a collection decided to Catching Fire. I think they did a collection last year for the Hunger Games movie but I can't remember. This collection features eyeshadow pencils, mascaras, lip glosses, and nail polishes.

I don't know know if these shades are new and for the collection only or if they are permanent shades. I haven't tried any of the products yet but let me know, if you have and what you think of them. I know that the flamed mascara has been out for a while now so if yu have tried it, please let me know.

June-July-August Favorites 2013

Hey everyone! Its been such a long time since I've done a favorites. I think my last one was for May so I decided to just sum up my June, July, and August favorites all in one! Maybe I will just do my favorites every three months instead since its more easier for me to keep up but we will see. Definitely let me know what you guys think. Some of these are new products and some of these are "old" products that you have seen in past monthly favorites. Anyways, lets get on with my favorites!

EYES:
Lorac Mint Collection Eye & Cheek Palette
I love the shadows in this palette. Even though the mint shadow isn't the most pigmented shadow in the palette, I still love it! I just have to use a primer and another base then pat on the mint shadow to get it to show up on my eyes. I love wearing the mint shadow all over my lid and then using the matte brown in my crease and the shimmery brown (underneath the matte brown) in my outer corner. Then I would apply the first shadow as my brow bone highlight. Whenever I wear this eye look, I always get compliments. If you have this palette, you should definitely give this eye look a try. If you don't, you can now find this set at Nordstorm Rack for about half the price.
Stila In The Moment Eye Shadow Palette
I bought this palette a few months ago and I am really liking it. I especially love the first three shadows because every time I use those three for an eye look, I always get compliments on my eyes. This palette is pretty great because it has your purples and neutral shades. I only wish that it had pinks as well instead of the black. I never use black shadows so I always hate it when a palette has one. I love wearing Impulse as an all over lid shade. Its the prettiest shade out of the whole palette and looks especially great on brown eyes.

Coastal Scents 88 Eye Shadow Colors "Warm Palette"
I have really been loving this palette. I think I have probably been using it almost everyday. You will probably see this palette again in my September favorites as well. This palette is definitely great for those who love makeup and for those who are just starting in makeup. This palette has so many eye shadows with different finishes like mattes and shimmers. I love using this for creating matte eye looks since there are so many options to choose from. I have been thinking about getting the other 88 palettes, if you guys have any recommendations, let me know.

Revlon Matte Eye Shadow "001 Vintage Lace"
I love this for my brow bone highlight. Its just the perfect shade and its matte, what more can you ask for! I think I bought this shade from the 99 Cents Store for only a dollar plus tax. I don't know if Revlon still sells this shade but I hope they do because I can see myself hitting pan on this shadow soon.
Anastasia Brow Powder Duo "Dark Brown"
I can definitely see all the hype about this. I have been using it everyday since I bought it. I like to mix both the shades together for my perfect brow shade. I just use the little brush that came in the set and its perfect. It doesn't take me a long time to do my brows. I can make them skinny or more bold. Plus it lasts all day on my bows through the heat, which is perfect since I never have to worry about them melting off or smearing on me through the day. I definitely recommend this.

FACE:
Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette
This palette has everything you need for your cheeks. It has a bronzer, blush, and a highlighter. The bronzer is the perfect shade for contouring, which I do everyday because I want my face to appear slimmer. The blush is a pretty pink and very pigmented. I need a light hand whenever I am using this. The same applies to the highlighter as well. The highlighter is definitely pigmented and shimmery. If you use a heavy hand with this, you will definitely look like a disco ball. If I was traveling, I would definitely bring this since it contains all the products that you would need for your cheeks.

Rimmel Stay Matte Long Lasting Pressed Powder "001 Transparent"
I bought this because I was getting shiny on my forehead and cheeks so I wanted something that would keep me matte all day. I heard a lot about this pressed powder, especially on YouTube so I decided to give it a try. I didn't know what shade to get so I decided to just buy Transparent. It doesn't keep me matte all day but it does keep me shine-free for a couple of hours, which is longer than my Revlon Nearly Naked pressed powder.

CoverGirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation "825 Buff Beige"
I am not sure if I love love this but so far, I am liking it. I heard so much about this when it came out that I wanted to buy it but of course, I told myself to wait. From all the reviews that I have read and seen, I got the impression that this was going to be medium to full coverage foundation similar to the Revlon ColorStay foundation but its definitely not. I would call this a light to medium coverage foundation since I would always have to apply at least two to three layers to cover the redness on my cheeks and my acne scars. The only reason why I am including this in my August favorites is because it lasts a long time on my face. I will probably be doing a full review on this soon.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara "Extreme Black"
I have so many back-ups of this mascara. I love using this with my other mascaras to make my lashes look longer. The only thing that I don't love about this is that the formula is very wet. If you sneeze after applying this, you will definitely get smudges. It has happened to me a couple of times. LOL Plus I would always have to wait for this mascara to dry before I curl my lashes, which is fine since I would just curl them after I dress. If you are looking for an inexpensive mascara, you should definitely give this a try.

So those are all my favorites for the last few months. LOL Hopefully I don't end up procrastinating again because I really love blogging. Its just hard to keep up with sometimes but I don't want to lose any of you so hopefully, I will be able to have a couple of posts per week. Let me know if you would like to see any reviews or swatches on any of these products featured in this post. I am probably going to be posting up a couple of reviews soon since I have so many that I am behind. Please let me know if you have tried any of these products before and what you think of them. I would love to hear your opinions!

My 50% Off Sears Haul

Hey everyone! I am not sure if you guys have heard but certain Sears have been clearancing their makeup department. I guess Sears haven't been doing so good in the makeup department so they decided to get rid of it and extend their jewelry department instead. I am just assuming since that is what it looks like is happening to my Sears. This haul was actually a few weeks ago. I would have posted it a bit earlier but I have been taking pictures on my new phone lately and it takes longer to edit the pictures. I might have to go back to taking pictures on my Nikon camera. Anyways, onto my haul. I was so excited when I found out that Sears was having this sale that I made sure to go straight there.

WHAT I BOUGHT:
CoverGirl Eyeshadow Quads "215 Country Woods" & "265 Sheerly Nudes"
When I saw these two quads, I instantly thought of both Naked palettes. If you put these two quads together, you can probably have your substitute right there, especially if you are on a budget. I haven't tried these yet but I will probably be using these when I go travel since the Naked palettes are a bit long and take up room. I would try these right now but I have been really liking my BH Cosmetics 88 Warm Palette and I want to try to hit pan on a couple of shadows before I move on. LOL

Nicole By OPI Drying Drops
I haven't tried this yet but I have been looking for fast drying top coats. Currently I have been using Seche Vite and I like it. The only things that I don't like it about is all the bad chemicals in it and the fact that once you get to the middle of the bottle, the formula gets goopy. I heard about the OPI Drying Drops from my friend, Marie and she swears by this stuff. It claims to dry to the touch in 60 seconds so that is a pretty good claim. I can't wait to try this. I just have to use up my current bottle of Seche Vite first. If you have tried both before, let me know which top coat you prefer.

Physicians Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum "Black"
I had to get this because it came with a bonus clear serum as well. It was just too good of a deal to pass up. I am not sure if my current Lash Boosting Eyeliner has been helping my lashes grow but they do appear longer whenever I use it. I thought maybe just applying any other eyeliner would work as well but nope it only works with my PF Lash Boosting Eyeliner. Hopefully these will make them longer because I love me some long lashes and have been sad ever since my ex ELF Eyelash Curler cut most of them in half.

While I was browsing through the aisles, I noticed that they had a bunch of samples in the center of the aisles. Because of that, I made a beeline straight to it and took a couple. I didn't go all crazy since I didn't know if any of the employees were watching and if there was a limit. LOL I picked out three different types of samples and they are all skincare samples since that was all they had. I got two Retinol Night Cream, 3 of the Lumene Sensitive Touch Cream and a single sample packet of the Lumene Bright Skin Radiance Nectar. I didn't end up keeping these since I gave them all to my mom. I usually only keep the makeup samples and give the rest to my mom. If you have tried any of these before, please let me know so I could tell my mom which one to try first. LOL

Before I end my little haul, I just want to say sorry for the lack of posts lately. I am been crazy busy and only get one day in the week to relax to myself. I am going to try to post up all my swatches and reviews since those have been piling up like crazy. I am going to try to post up swatches of my shine Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick and the Maybelline highlighter that I recently hauled.
If you would like to see that haul, you can click here: http://lisalovesmakeup87.blogspot.com/2013/08/mini-cvs-walgreens-haul.html

Mini ULTA Haul

Hey everyone! Whoa, I feel like its been a while since I hauled anything from Ulta. I feel like they haven't been having any good sales lately. Hopefully they will have their 40% off sale again because I am definitely excited for that one. Let me know if you guys are the same as well. LOL Anyways, the only reason why I decided to shop at Ulta again was because they had sent me a $3 off anything coupon in my email so of course, I had to use it. I actually went in not nothing what to get and since there wasn't anything that I was really interested in, I didn't want to spend money on something that I wanted excited for so I decided to look in the clearance section. I was hoping that I would be able to find something about $3 so that way, I would just end up paying tax. Pretty smart idea, yes? LOL

I just ended up finding one thing that was around $3. I actually never tried it before but have sometimes thought about giving it a try since people tend to like CoverGirl foundations. They actually had a couple of CoverGirl items on clearance. I just got the CoverGirl TruBlend Foundation in "450 Creamy Beige." Hopefully its the right color since they didn't have a huge selection to choose from. Usually I would just go with anything that has the word "beige" in it and pray that its the right color. LOL

I was glad that I only paid tax for this item and of course, I had to ask for a sample! I swear sometimes employees at Sephora and Ulta are sting-ey with their samples. Come on you guys get them for free to give out to your customers, do what you are expected to do. Am I right? She only gave me one sample (disappointed), which was the Prada Luna Rossa sample. I haven't smelled it but I will probably just end up giving it away to someone.

Anyways, that was my short haul. This was probably my smallest haul on makeup. Let me know if you guys ever hauled anything small like this before. I haven't tried the foundation yet but hopefully it will match and work great on my skin. I was kind of hoping that it will compare to the CoverGirl Outlast foundation. I would just get the Outlast foundation myself but all the reviews that I have read on it say that its a bit on the heavy, thick side so I want try other foundations first since I'm not much a fan of thick formulas.

Have you ever tried this foundation before?
