April 2012 Favorites

Hey everyone! Sorry if I am a little late on my April favorites but I have been busy. I know that is no excuse but I will try to post them on time next month. I don't really have that many products this month but thats because most of my favorites have been the same month from month and I didn't feel like putting them repeat. LOL I decided to just mention the products that haven't been mentioned in my other months. Some products are new favorites and others are re-discovered.

Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer & Concealer Brush
I have really been liking this concealer because its really heavy. It covers all my blemishes perfectly and you only need a little. I can see myself still using this concealer in the next five years. It comes with a lot of products and all you need is a little dot of product. I have really been liking this concealer with this duo concealer brush that I bought last year from Big Lots. I think the brand is Hi-Definition but I am not sure. My Big Lots doesn't carry it anymore but I think you can find this brand at WalMart. The brush has two sides but I have really been liking the smaller brush end because it is perfect for applying concealer.

WnW 6 Pan Palette in 249 Vanity
I really love this palette. All the shades are gorgeous shades and pigmented. Plus this palette is so inexpensive. Sadly this is now discontinued but if you do get the chance to see it pop up in your clearance bin, definitely pick it up. I know for sure, that if I ever get lucky to see another one of this, I am definitely picking it up as a backup. This is definitely a palette that I reach for almost everyday because its great for everyday, natural eye looks.

Stila Illuminating Finishing Powder in Rose Gold
I got this from a friend and I have been loving it since. This is my first and only Stila product. Plus its also the first highlighter that I have tried. This product is what got me into highlighters and since then, I have been trying to find a drugstore highlighter that is as good as this. I use this to highlight my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose. It just gives my cheekbones the perfect glow.

Revlon Lip Butter in 015 Tutti Frutti
I freaking love this color. I think this shade is perfect and definitely in trend this season. I really love how this looks on my lips. I think this shade will look gorgeous on many different skintones. I typically wear this whenever I am wearing an natural eye look, just to give my face some pop and wow. LOL

Model 21 Fashion Lashes in No. 4
I love these lashes and have been wearing them everyday. They make my eyes look bigger and more awake. Plus they give my eyes the illusion of double lids. These are a little bit big for my eyes so I always have to trim them a little. These are very inexpensive. Normally they retail for $6USD for a box of lashes at certain stores but I bought a bunch of these a few years ago in Vietnam.

So that is all for my favorites! Again, sorry for being so late but better late than never! If you have any questions about any of the products mention, definitely let me know. If you would like to see swatches of any of the products, let me know as well.

NATM: Matte Metal Madness

Hey everyone! I feel like I haven't painted my nails in a while. Its been about two to three weeks since I painted my nails. Before I was painting my nails constantly and I got worried that they were going to turn yellow so I gave them a break from nail polish so they could breathe. I would have given them longer time but I feel like every time I look at my polish collection, all my polishes are whispering for me to use them up. LOL

I have really been into matte nail looks so I decided to use my Hard Candy Matte-Ly In Love Top Coat. Its a great top coat to use whenever you want a matte finish. It mattifies your polishes within seconds and dries pretty quick. I bought mines at WalMart for around $6USD-$7USD plus tax. I wasn't sure which polish I wanted to use but I do remember a polish from the China Glaze Capitol Colours Collection that I have been wanting but so hard to get a hold of. If you don't know which polish I am talking about, it is the China Glaze Stone Cold. I just love how that polish looks that I had to do something similar to it. Sorry about the pictures. I know that they are not the best but for some reason, my camera couldn't focus right.

What I used:
ORLY Top2Bottom
ELF Nail Polish in Metal Madness
Hard Candy Matte-Ly In Love Top Coat

So that is all for my NATM. Its not much but its good enough for me. LOL What do you guys think? Do you think its somewhat similar to Stone Cold? Do you own any polishes from the Capitol Colours collection? Let me know, I would love to hear your opinions!

March 2012 Favorites

Hey everyone! can you believe that it is already April and that March is now over? Wow this year is already going by so fast! This month, I only have a couple of favorites. Some of them are repeats and they are probably going to stay that way until I finish everything up. LOL That just shows how much I love it! I don't have much because I have been trying to use up more of my makeup rather than buy new ones, even though I have been craving to buy more.

SKINCARE:
++YES TO TOMATOES DAILY BALANCING MOISTURIZER++
I have been loving this ever since I got it. It is the perfect moisturizer for my face. I already bought a backup of this because I am almost running out. This is from the Yes To Clear Skin line, so its great for my acne prone skin. Plus it keeps my skin moisturized all day and has a nice scent to it. The scent reminds me of cinnamon. Its not overpowering and once its on your face, you don't really smell it. I also have a review post on this: CLICK HERE

MAKEUP:
++ALMAY CLEAR COMPLEXION FOUNDATION++
I have been using this foundation for a couple of months now and I really like it. This foundation has salylic acid and is meant for those with acne prone skin because it helps treat acne. I have it in 220 Neutral, which is somewhat light for me but its a great shade for me in the winter. Plus if I want more color, I just apply bronzer all over my face as my setting powder. I always use this foundation during my monthly time because its light but provides good coverage. Plus because its light, it doesn't irritate my pimples and cause them to swell up and/or get more red. This is in the old packaging because the new ones now have pumps. If you would like to see a more in-depth review on this, please let me know!

++WNW 6 PAN PALETTE IN VANITY++
I have been using this a lot this month and have been loving it. It is the perfect neutral palette. Plus what makes it even better is that it is so affordable! I think this retails for $2.99USD plus tax. You can find this anywhere WnW products are sold like CVS, Walgreens, and RiteAid. These shadows are so soft and they feel so buttery to the touch. They are very pigmented. Plus this palette also has both shimmery and matte shadows, which is great.

++L'OREAL WEAR INFINITE EYESHADOW QUAD IN 220 MILLA'S BLUES++
I don't use the whole quad but there is one shade that I have been loving. It is the shade that I circled in the picture. For me, this is te perfect highlight for my browbone. I use this with all my eye looks. Its a matte eyeshadow. I know for sure that once I run out, I am definitely going to repurchase this shade. Hopefully L'Oreal makes this one eyeshadow as a single because I love it so much. I have tried looking for dupes for this but I can't find any. This is an old quad from L'Oreal but hopefully they still make that one shadow. If you know for a perfect dupe for that one shade, please let me know.

++BENEFIT CREASELESS SHADOW/LINER IN R.S.V.P++
I love this because it is a perfect all over the lid cream shadow. I love this because its so simple and easy. Whenever I am running late and/or feeling too lazy to do my eye makeup, I would just apply this all over my lid and I am done. This is a deluxe sample that I bought in the Benefit Stay Don't Stray set from Sephora for $10USD plus tax last year. It is a gorgeous shimmery pinkish-gold that is wonderful worn as a base or by itself.

++MILANI LIQUIF'EYE METALLIC EYE LINER PENCIL IN BLACK++
This is my holy grail eyeliner! It is the perfect pigmented black. I bought this because it was more pigmented than UD Zero, which it is. I haven't tried the new one that UD came out with, which is said to be more pigmented than Zero. This eyeliner lasts a pretty long time on my eyeliner. I just wish that it wouldn't smudge so easy. If you would like to see a review with swatches, please let me know.

++REVLON LIP BUTTER IN 080 STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE++
This is by far my favorite lip butter out of all the ones that I have. I am almost out of it as you can see in my picture. It is the perfect bubblegum pink. These are so moisturizing and last pretty long on my lips. These usually range from $6USD-$7USD plus tax but sometimes you can find them on sale. To see my review and swatches on this: CLICK HERE

NAIL POLISH:
++HARD CANDY MATTE TOP COAT++
This was the first matte top coat that I bought. I have really been into matte nail polishes these days and have been loving this. It gives any nail polish color a matte finish. I have been wearing this with so many different polishes. Plus it dries very quick. You can only find this at WalMart for $7USD plus tax.

FRAGRANCE:
++BRITNEY SPEARS FANTASY++
I love this perfume and plan on collecting all of Britney Spears perfumes. LOL This ones smells so good and is perfect for the Spring/Summer. if you haven't smelled this perfume, you definitely need to go to a store and smell it for yourself.

So that is all for my March 2012 favorites! I hope that you liked it and that it was informative. If you would to know anything else about these products, don't hesitate to ask. What are your March 2012 favorites? Are some of them the same as my favorites?

Hard Candy First Flush

Hey everyone! First and foremost, I just wanted to tell everyone HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!! I hope that everyone has a great day today! Onto the post, I just wanted to let you all know about a Hard Candy kit that i bought a while back. Its a great kit to buy for those who haven't tried out any Hard Candy products before. I have always been curious about their products but didn't want to shell out money for a couple of their full size products and not even know if I will end up liking them, so I was so happy when I found this little kit. I can't remember the exact price. I think it was either $6USD plus tax or $8USD plus tax. LOL The only Hard Candy product that I have tried is their Glamoflauge Concealer.

This Hard Candy First Flush comes with:
❀ Blush Creme Baked Blush in Living Doll

❀ Sheer Envy Primer

❀ Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss in Uptown Girl

❀ Glow All The Way Face & Body Luminizer

I haven't tried any of these products yet but I have always wanted to try their baked blushes but the WalMart closes to me is never in stock with any of their baked blushes. Since this kit has a baked blush, I was like, "heck yeah, finally I get to try out one of their blushes." Plus I heard that their primer was pretty good too! So if you haven't tried Hard Candy products before, this little kit is definitely a great way to try out their products. In case, some of you didn't know already, Hard Candy is exclusively sold at WalMart. LOL

My WalMart Haul

Hey everyone! I went to WalMart because I wanted to pick up a couple of products that I have been wanting to try out. I have never tried Hard Candy nail polishes and their baked blushes before so I thought that since I had some free time, why not go out and buy some. Hard Candy products are pretty inexpensive. Plus I heard that they used to be sold at Sephora a long time ago, so that made me even more want to try out their products. The only product that I have tried from Hard Candy is their Glamoflauge Concealer, which was alright but not the best.

What I bought in this haul:
Hard Candy Just Nails Nail Color in Matte-Ly In Love
This is a matte top coat that gives any color a matte finish! I can't wait to try this! I orginally wanted the Essie Matte Top Coat but I couldn't find that at any of my drugstores and nail supply stores so I opted for this one instead. I love matte finishes and I am excited to see what it will make my glitter nail polishes look like! This matte top coat retailed for $4USD plus tax.

Hard Candy Just Nails Nail Color in Bettle
Thsi is such a gorgeous nail polish color. I don't think I have seen any close it. Its so pretty! It sort of reminds me of the colors that you would see in an oil puddle on the streets, where you would see something like a rainbow effect. This nail polish has purple, gold, and olive green. Its just a gorgeous shade. If you don't have this nail polish, you definitely have to check this shade out in person. This nail polish retailed for $4USD plus tax.

Hard Candy First Flush Kit
I never tried any of the products in this kit before and I have always been curious about their baked blushes and their face primer so I thought that this kit would be perfect. It comes with all sample size or you can call them travel size products. This kit retails for $8USD plus tax, which is like paying $2 per item. This kit includes products like:
  • Blush Crush Baked Blush in Living Doll (I have wanted the full size ever since I saw pictures of it online but my WalMart never has it in stock. This travel size definitely does not look like the actual full size blush because it doesn't have the yellow viens running through it. I don't know if its going to be the same exact shade but I wanted to try it nonetheless because I fell in love with the swatches online of Living Doll.)
  • Sheer Envy Face Primer (This is supposed to improve the look of your foundation application and minimize your imperfections. I can't wait to see if it lives up to its claims.)
  • Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss in Uptown Girl (I am not really into plumping lip glosses because my lips are already somewhat full. I don't know if I might give this to someone or keep it to try out. It is a gorgeous baby pink lip gloss with shimmers.)
  • Glow All The Way Face & Body Luminizer (This is a highlighter that gives you a pearly finish. It is supposed to work for all skin tones and its infused with 24K gold. I will probably be using this as a highlighter on the area above my cheeks and maybe as a highlighter for my legs.)

Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in 290 Precious GoldI have a couple of Rimmel eyeliners and they are pretty good. I have been wanting a bronzey gold eyeliner for a while now and decided to just pick this one to try out. Its a retractable eyeliner, which I really like. I hate having to sharpen my eyeliner pencils. This eyeliner retails for $4.12USD plus tax and I had a $1USD off coupon, so I only paid $3.12USD plus tax. I will defnitely be testing to see if this eyeliner is really waterproof. I have been on the search for the perfect waterproof eyeliner since this summer.

Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara in 101 Black
I never tried this mascara before but I have been loving all the Rimmel mascaras that I own and tried out. I especially love the Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara. The one that I bought comes in a double pack. I will be keeping one and giving the other one to my sister. This mascara claims to lengthen and thicken your lashes while giving them volume. I will do a review on this after I try it out for a while. This double pack mascara retails for $4.32USD plus tax. I had a $1USD off coupon, so it only cost me $3.32USD plux tax!

Keep in mind, all these items were bought at WalMart so the prices might be different. Prices vary by region and stores. I haven't tried any of the products that I bought yet but I can't wait. I will try to post up reviews on the products after I try them out for a while! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
