Hey everyone! So many new products are coming out at the
drugstore that I am getting excited to see everything in the stores. Some new
products that I have seen are from Maybelline. They recently came out with some
new bronzers for the upcoming summer. What makes these unique in the drugstore
is that these are matte bronzers. Now if you love drugstore makeup as much as
me, you know that matte drugstore bronzers are hard to find. Even harder to
find are good matte bronzers. I haven’t tried these new bronzers from
Maybelline but if you have, please leave a comment below letting everyone know
what you think about these. These come in three different shades. I don’t know
if these are limited edition or permanent but the three shades are 310 Weekend
Bronze, 320 Vacation Bronze and 330 Paradise Bronze. I actually spotted this
display at both my Walgreens and CVS stores. Depending on your region and
stores, these bronzers will range from $8 to $9. Let me know if you have seen
these bronzers and whether you are looking forward to trying out these new
bronzers.

Spotted: Physicians Formula Nude Wear Collection
Hey everyone! First off let me just say how cute is this display! I know that Physicians Formula tends to have really cute displays but this one just takes the cake with all the pink, rose gold, and the bows on the actual products. I am positive that all of you would definitely agree with me on this one! This display is called the Nude Wear, which is a new line from Physicians Formula. These products claim to be "glowing nude makeup" for a "beautiful bare skin effect and skin-glowing finish."
This collection has bronzers, highlighters, and blushes. The blushes are definitely what I would be after. Each product says "Nude Wear" on the actual product itself. This actually reminds me of a product that Dior (or was it Dior?) came out with a few months ago with the word "Nude" on the actual product. I would if Physician Formula had them in mind? Thanks for reading!

Review: Physicians Formula Bronze Gems "Healthy Glow Bronzer"

Hey everyone! Its been a while since I posted up a review but I am trying not to haul as much as before. I do still have a couple of hauls that I need to post but I am trying to not buy anymore makeup until the holidays. I said tried so don't expect too much from me. LOL I do want to get one palette from Ulta 21 Days of Beauty event but we will see. If you know what palette I am talking about, definitely let me know if I should get it or not and if you are going to be buying it as well. I never tried the brand before but it looks like a great everyday palette.
I actually bought this bronzer when I first started getting into makeup. I am pretty sure that this is one of the first bronzers that I bought. I mainly bought this because I wanted something that I can use for multiple purposes since I was really into saving money back then. I loved makeup but didn't want to buy too much. Ha! If only the me back then could see my collection now. LOL This was a product that claimed that you can use it as a bronzer, highlighter, and as eyeshadows. This definitely sounds like a beauty money saver's dream, yes? Well you could look at it like that. I sort of wish I had actually gotten a different bronzer instead of this one. I mean its a good bronzer but I don't see myself using it that often and close to hitting pan on it.
As with all Physician Formula bronzers, blushes, and highlighters, all their packaging is bulky. If you don't own any Physician Formula products, then you wouldn't know why I am calling their packaging bulky. Its on the big side because they usually all contain a compartment inside containing a mini brush with a mirror. I don't ever use the brushes so I do wish that Physicians Formula would stop doing that. Let me know if you think the same too.
Anyways, lets get onto the actual product. There are "gems" on the side of the bronzer that you can use as a highlighter or as eyeshadows. I tried to use them as eyeshadows before and I didn't like it since they weren't pigmented enough. I actually had to swipe my fingers across the "gems" a couple of time to get them to show up on my fingers to take pictures of. If you are looking for a really soft wash of color, then maybe you might like this. For the bronzer, its a matte bronzer, which is nice. Matte bronzers are great for contouring and great for all year around. The only thing about this bronzer is that its almost the same as my skintone once I put it on. You can't even tell that I used it for contouring. LOL I have fair skin so that says a lot. Whenever I used this, I would mainly just swirl my brush all over the product and use it as an all over bronzer. Its nice to set my makeup with and does give me a healthy glow. I guess thats why the shade is called "Healthy Glow Bronzer." LOL
Would I repurchase this? No, I wouldn't. There are so many other bronzers that I love more. I feel like this was just a waste of my money. Its nice that its geared toward a multi-purpose product but it doesn't do well in all the purposes that its claimed for. I will try to finish it up but after that, I won't go back to this. I would just spend more money buying separate products for highlighters, bronzers, and eyeshadows. LOL The "gems" weren't pigmented enough for their intended uses. I actually had to scrape off the top layer of the "gems" to even get any color when I first used it. Let me know what you think.

Spotted: Maybelline Dream Sun Line
Hey everyone! Hope you're not all getting bored with all my constant spotted posts now because I still have a couple more. If you are tried of seeing these, well too bad. LOL But if you love makeup as much as me, I am sure that you guys love seeing posts about new products because I always get happy when I see them in stores. This post is going to be on the new products from Maybelline. I don't know if these products are limited edition but if you know, please let me know. Maybelline recently came out with some new products for their Summer 2013 collection, called Dream Sun. This collection includes bronzers and bronzing face illuminators.
There are three different types of bronzers in this collection. They are matte, glow, and four seasons. I think each type has two shades each: light and medium. For the bronzing face illuminators, I think there is only one shade but I can't tell for sure, since the display only had one left when I got there. I spotted these at my local Walgreens stores and at my store, these were priced at $8.49 plus tax. But keep in mind, prices might vary by stores and region.

Spotted: Milani TANtastic Face & Body Baked Bronzers
These new Milani TANtastic Face & Body Baked Bronzers are "long-lasting and are luminous powder bronzers," according to the display. They currently come in two shades. The two shades are 04 Fantastic Illiminator and 05 Fantastic Summer's Kiss. Each compact comes with a mirror and brush applicator inside, which is typical of Milani and Physicians Formula face product compacts. I haven't tried these yet but they do look like they would be great, if you want that summer glow. If you are interested in getting these, you better hurry before they sell out since they are limited edition products.

Review & Swatches: Laura Geller Baby Cakes Baked To Go Palette
Hey everyone! I have been so proactive these past few days so I thought since I have been on a kick, I might as well get this post typed up as well. Plus I don't know if this palette is limited edition or not but just in case, I want to get this post up with all the swatches as soon as possible. In case you guys didn't know, I don't have that many Laura Geller products but the ones that I have, I really like. So I was very happy when I got this as a gift. If you would like to see the other gift that I received, you can CLICK HERE. And no, I didn't receive this gift from the company's PR.
Okay, lets move onto the Laura Geller Baby Cakes Baked To Go Palette. It is an Ulta exclusive so you will only be able to buy this from Ulta.com or from Ulta stores. In my opinion, I think its a nice palette that you can bring with you on travels or short vacations since it has pretty much everything that you need for a done face. It also comes with a mini travel size brush. I didn't really use the brush because I actually prefer to use my own face brushes. This palette comes with:
◊ Balance-N-Brighten Foundation "Medium"
◊ Blush-N-Brighten "Pink Buttercream"
◊ Bronze-N-Brighten "Medium"
◊ Baked Marble Eyeshadow "Rome/Milan"
I actually already have two full size compacts of the Laura Geller Balance-N-Brighten Foundation "Medium" so I didn't really use the one in this palette that much since I didn't want to mess up the dome shape. LOL I'm actually thinking about selling one of the foundations since I don't think I really need two since I haven't even hit pan on the first one. What do you guys think? Should I sell one or just keep it as a back-up? For me, I can never use this foundation alone because I have so many blemishes on my face that I feel like this foundation can't cover up completely. I still think its a great foundation, especially for those who have flawless skin. Its a good foundation to use whenever you don't have enough time to apply your liquid foundation or when you just want something thats quick. Since I don't use this foundation by itself, I do like using it as a setting powder to set my liquid foundations when I feel like I need that extra coverage. If you want to see a review and swatches on this, you can CLICK HERE.
Okay, onto the blush! Can I just say how much I love this blush! It is just the perfect color for my cheeks and brightens up my whole face. Thats probably why Laura Geller called it "Blush-N-Brighten" duh! LOL According to Laura Geller's website, "Pink Buttercream is the perfect petal hue swirled with copper and gold flecks. It leaves cheeks rosy and glowing." All I know is that I would totally buy the full size of this blush! I would probably end up wearing it everyday and thats how much I love it. If you are not a fan of shimmery blushes, you might not like this but come on, look at that gorgeous color!
This was actually my first time trying out a bronzer from Laura Geller. I have heard lot of great things about her bronzers, especially her baked body bronzer. According to Laura Geller, "Bronze-N-Brighten corrects unevenness and helps you achieve a flawless-looking, radiant complexion. A soft powder designed to provide a beautiful, lightly-toasted finish with a matte glow." I really like how this bronzer looks on my skin because it looks so natural. If you haven't tried this bronzer before, you should give this a try.
Now let's talk about the baked marble eyeshadow in Rome/Milan! I don't really have that much experience with baked eyeshadows so I am not going to see too much about this, except that I really love the colors included in this palette. My favorite out of the two would definitely have to be Milan! Its just a gorgeous outer corner shade when its intensified or you can sheer it out and wear it all over the lid.
I actually don't remember the exact price of this palette but I think it was $42 plus tax or somewhere under $49 plus tax. I know that some of you might think thats pretty pricey for this palette since none of the products are full size but there are a ton of great products in this palette like the blush, my favorite! Plus these products will last you a while since they are all pigmented and you only need to apply a little. If you have this product, definitely let me know what you think because I would love to hear your opinions!

If you have this palette, what do you think about it?
Don't you guys just agree how gorgeous Pink Buttercream is?

Lisa's Bronzer Collection (With Swatches)
Hey everyone! As always, I was cleaning out my makeup collection and reorganizing everything and decided to take out all my bronzers to show them off in a collection post. Yes, I do tend to reorganize my makeup collection a lot. It calms me down and plus I like looking at all the makeup. LOL If you are the same as me and tend to reorganize your makeup collection a lot, definitely let me know! I've had people ask me what are you doing because all they hear stuff moving around and when I tell them that I am reorganizing my makeup, they just say "seriously, again?" Haha! Yes again!
Anyways while reorganizing my makeup collection, I noticed that I had a couple of bronzers. Keep in mind that I am just going to be featuring the bronzers that I have opened and already used. I do have a couple other bronzers in my collection but those are brand new ones that are placed in a different drawer. I won't be opening those until I finish up a couple that I already have opened. The reason why I have it like that is because makeup starts to go bad when you open it and expose it to air (and of course to bacteria) so I try not to have a ton of products opened.
As you can see, I actually have a wide variety of bronzers with different finishes. In this post, I am just going to show the bronzers that I have really been liking and/or just using at this moment. Some of them are matte and some of them have tiny shimmers but no bronzers with glitters, thank goodness! For my bronzers, I like to either use them to contour with or as a powder all over the face (if I am really pale at the time LOL).
MY BRONZERS:
◊ NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder "Sunny"
I really like this bronzer. I bought it mainly because of all the hype about in online from all the YouTube gurus and bloggers. I think Sunny is actually one of the most talked about drugstore bronzers. Its great for contouring your cheekbones, temple, and nose because its a matte bronzer. Plus its inexpensive and is priced under five dollars, what more can you ask for?
◊ Physicians Formula Bronze Booster "Light/Medium"
I love this bronzer. Its actually one of my favorite bronzers in my collection. I think this is actually one of the very first bronzers that I bought when I started falling in love with makeup. Even though this bronzer does have a bit of shimmer in the pan, once applied on your face, it pretty much looks matte. I think this bronzer is around $12-$14 plus tax, depending on the store and region. I really like using this bronzer for contouring all year around and even lightly applying it all over my face like a setting powder in the summer to give my face that sun kissed glow.
◊ Physicians Formula HealthyWear Bronzer "Tan"
This is not a favorite of mines. The reason why I don't really like it is because its so hard to get product onto the brush. The bronzer is so hard that it was actually a bit tough for me to get the swatch since I had to press down on it a lot. I am actually trying to finish this all up or at least the most of what I can because it has an expiration date. Mines actually expires December this year so hopefully I will hit pan on it soon. I don't know if this bronzer is discontinued because I bought mines at Big Lots for around $4 plus tax but if you know, definitely let me know.
◊ ELF Studio Contouring Blush/Bronzing Powder
I think this is actually one of the very first ELF products that I bought. So far, they have came out with different shades and also a cream version of this. For some people, this is actually an inexpensive alternative to the NARS blush/bronzer duo. I wouldn't really call this a dupe for that but it is nice to have and I don't feel like I am missing out. I think this is actually nice to travel with because it has both a bronzer and blush in one compact. This bronzer is so pigmented that you only need to lightly tap your brush. Even though it does contain a bit of shimmer, its great for contouring.
◊ Too Faced Bronzer "Sun Bunny"
This is a great bronzer. I like it because you pretty much get two bronzers in one. You can use each shade separately or use them together. I actually just swirl my brush in the whole pan because its a great bronzing shade for my skintone. I think that if you want that sun-kissed glow, you should definitely give this bronzer a try!
◊ Tarte Mineral Bronzer "Park Ave Princess"
I actually have the mini size of this bronzer and another one in a Tarte holiday collection. I can't remember the name of the holiday set but the makeup came in a mirrored box that can be used as a jewelry box. I really like how the packaging of the mini size is the same to the full size bronzer. I rarely used this bronzer when I bought it but have been using it from time to time. Its a great bronzer for that "highly pearled golden tan," according to Sephora. It is a shimmery bronzer so I mostly use it as an all over setting powder to give my face a tan.
So those are all my bronzers that I have been currently using. I do have other bronzers in my collection that I have opened from Sephora and others from Physicians Formula but I mainly wanted to feature these because these are the ones that I have been using and because they are still in stores (meaning easy access to). All the bronzers that I have shown are products that you can purchase from your local drugstores and from Sephora or Ulta. If you have tried any of these bronzers, definitely let me know what your thoughts are about them! I would love to hear them. Plus let me know if you would like to see more posts like these with my blushes, powder foundations, etc. I would try doing one on eye shadows but I just think that will be too many swatches since the majority of my eye shadows are palettes.
QUESTIONS:
Have you tried any of these bronzers?
Which bronzer would you recommend?

Review & Swatches: Sephora + Pantone Universe Alchemy Of Color Face Palette
Hey everyone! If you remember a few weeks ago, I posted a haul on the Sephora + Pantone Universe Alchemy Of Color Face Palette and some of you guys wanted to see a review on it. If you didn't know already, this palette is on sale on the Sephora website and in Sephora stores for $15 plus tax. According to Sephora, this is "a magnetic compact with six shades to highlight, contour, sculpt, and define your look for the season." The packaging reminds me of the Sephora + Pantone Universe Tangerine collection with the white packaging. Its so magnetic as well. The top comes off and magnetizes shut when you place it over the actual compact. It comes with two bronzers, a blush, and 3 highlights. You can use the bronzers individually or mix them together. The whole time I had this, I used the bronzers mixed together to contour and sometimes as my blush. For the 2 highlights, I would use them separately.
After I bought this, I searched online for reviews (for curiosity sake) and I was surprised that I didn't really find any. Most of the big bloggers had swatches but no words (so no review). I think I only found one review on this face palette and her opinions are totally different from mines. There were a ton of reviews on the eye palette though but I didn't check those out since I don't plan on buying that palette but I did spot it on sale right now on the Sephora website.
Now onto the actual review! When I first saw this in store, I was actually happy to have gotten it. It looked pretty in the palette. Plus I had already owned the blush duo from the Tangerine collection and it was really pigmented. I just wish that I had use it more since its just sitting in my collection. Since this palette had wearable colors and included a bronzer (which you can also double as a blush) and highlighters, I thought that it would be worth trying out. Now when I got home and swatched it, that was a different story. It wasn't that pigmented and whenever I would try to apply the blush onto my cheeks, I would have to apply it over and over (and repeat some more) just for some color to show up on my cheeks. I was a bit sad about that because I just love the colors. I even had to swatch it a couple of times on my wrist just for the colors to show up on the camera. If anyone knows of more pigmented dupes to these blushes, please let me know! I think that if you are a fan of very light, pale blushes, you might be a fan of this but if you are medium to deep skin tone, I wouldn't recommend this at all.
Now onto the highlighters in this palette. These look really pretty in the pans but when swatched, they were just glitter and a bunch of fallout. The only good highlight was the golden one but the other two were like glitter top coats, so to say. The glitters are very fine glitters so you don't get that gritty feeling. The last two highlighters provided no color whatsoever, which was a shame because they look like gorgeous shades. Whenever I would apply the last two highlighters, I would just get glitter everywhere. It would fall all over my face and onto my vanity. Plus it wouldn't even stay on the places of my face where I applied it. At the end of the day, I looked like a glittery mess.
At the end, I just didn't like this face palette. I actually wish that the blushes and bronzers were more pigmented. It just took way too long to get the color to show up on my cheeks and the some of the highlighters were just fine glitter. Just to let you know, I returned this palette last week and haven't regretted it. If you have this face palette, definitely let me know how you feel about it and whether or not you like it?
