CVS Haul: BOGO FREE WnW
Hey everyone! So if you didn't know, CVS had a BOGO FREE on Wet N' Wild cosmetics!! I know that WnW products are already inexpensive but getting them BOGO FREE is an even better deal. I didn't get much because I arrived late into the sale and was there on the last day. It wasn't my luckiest day as you will soon see why later into the post. I didn't know what I wanted when I got t CVS but I knew that I had to pick up something. I was hoping to see if there were any of the new 8pan palettes from WnW since I heard that they were popping up at certain CVS stores but I was out of luck. None of the CVS stores that I went to had them, which was a bummer. Since I didn't get my hands on any of the new LE 8pan palettes, I decided to cheer myself up with some other products instead.
What I bought:
WnW MegaLast Nail Polish "217B Disturbia"
WnW MegaLast Nail Polish "203B 2% Milk"
WnW MegaGlo Illuminating Powder "348 Starlight Bronze"
WnW MegaGlo Illuminating Powder "345 Catwalk Pink"
I was hoping to get some bright nail polish colors but the stores that I went were mostly out of stock. I only picked up two because I already have way more nail polishes than I would ever need in a lifetime. I decided to pick up Disturbia, which is a fall shade since I don't really have that many dark shades in my collection. I also picked up 2% Milk because I don't have many nudes in my collection. It looks like it could be a bit sheer but I am sure that I could work with it. Since there weren't many polishes in stock, I picked up two face products that I have always been curious about. Plus the past few months, I have really been into illuminating powders and highlighters. I picked up two, which I think are the only two that WnW carries. I was a bit disappointment since the majority of the highlighting powders were broken and smashed. They all looked like they were thrown around for fun. I was happy that I found Catwalk Pink still intact but since it was a BOGO FREE deal, I took Starlight Bronze as well. There were only two Starlight Bronzes left and they were both broken.
I took all my items and asked the cashier if they gave out any sort of discounts on broken items. LOL I knew that CVS stores don't do that but I had to ask anyways because it never hurts to ask. The cashier told me that since the last two were broken, I could bring it back when they restocked and exchanged it for a new one as long as I had the receipt. So far I have been back four times and they still haven't restocked. I even went to other CVS stores in my area as well and they have broken ones too, which is weird. Hopefully my CVS store will restock soon because I would love to start using it and reviewing it. So those are all the products that I bought! If you have tried any of these products, definitely let me know because I would love to hear if you ended up loving them or not.

September 2012 Favorites
Hey everyone! Whoa can you guys believe that we're now in the middle of October? Its so crazy at how fast this whole year is passing us by. Sorry that I am a bit late with this post. September was a pretty great month and I'm sad to see it go already but can't wait for Halloween. I love Halloween and dressing up, especially taking my little brother out for trick-r-treating! Plus getting free candy from his basket isn't that bad either. Haha! These past few months I have been trying out a couple of new products and been going back to some oldies that I miss. It isn't much but I have really been liking these products, hence why they are in my September 2012 favorites.
MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish/Highlighter "Superb"
This is a gorgeous soft peachy nude and I just love how it looks on the top of my cheekbones. I love using this as a highlighter because it just adds a glow to my face. This is the same to the ever so popular Estee Lauder Illuminating Powder Gelee. Its a great universal shade that I think will work on both light and dark complextions. If you spot this at a CCO, I highly recommend you pick this up! I wish I had picked up the rest of the skinfinishes in the Extra Dimension collection, especially Whisper of Gilt. Whhisper of Gilt is now on my wishlist!
Tarte MultiplEYE Natural Lash Enhancing Primer
This is a sample size that was in my Tarte Vanity set and I really love it. I never used a lash primer before and this one primer has just started my curiousity for trying out more. The full size costs $22 but I am hoping to either get during Sephora F&F sale or hope that Tarte will have a great holiday set or sale.
Tarte MultiplEye Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara
This is also a sample size that came with the primer in the Tarte Vanity set. The full size version retails for $19 and I am definitely going to purchase the full size as long as I can get a good deal on it. If I do end up purchasing this, this will definitely be my first high-end mascara purchase. I just love this mascara. It makes my lashes look longer, separates them, and keeps them curled all day.
ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit "Dark"
Haha, you guys have probably seen this so many times in my monthly favorites posts. This is my second one and I have about three more as backup. I really love this for my brows and I can never leave the house without doing my brows. This keeps my brows perfect and set all day. I just love the wax in this kit and wish that they had added more of the wax and less of the powder since I barely use the powder.
WnW Eyeshadow Palette "Vanity"
I love this palette. Its affordable and it has both matte and shimmer shadows. I love using this to create everyday, neutral eye looks. It comes with a great browbone highllighter, lid color, crease colors, and outer corner shades. I think this palette is now discontinued because I haven't seen it in stores anymore but if you do happen to see it, you should definitely pick it up. I wish I had a back-up of it because I can see myself hitting pan on it soon.
Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer "Buff"
I have really been liking this. Its a great highlighting concealer. It doesn't conceal any blemishes well but its great to use for the under eye area and on the bridge of the nose. I also like using this on my cupids bow since it makes my lips appear fuller. This doesn't really highlight that much on my skintone but I heard that the only one that really does highlight on many skintones is the one in the shade Radiant.
Too Faced Glamour Gloss "Barely Legal"
I love this gloss and am sad to see that its almost all gone. I only have a couple of uses left so chances are that you might be seeing this lip gloss in my next finished products post. Its just a gorgeous milky pink plus it leaves a refreshing tingle on my lips. Its supposed to plump your lips but my lips are already somewhat on the full side so I don't really see any plumping action.
Peripera Wonder Kiss Gloss "5 Glam Biege"I actually won this in a giveaway a while back and I have just started using it again. I love this lipgloss so much. I think the reason why I stopped using it was because I was afraid that I was going to use it all up since this is a Korean brand and hard to get a hold of here in the States. Glam Beige is a gorgeous pink with a bunch of shimmers. If you are not a fan of shimmers, then I wouldn't recommend this for you. The pink doesn't really show up on my lips so it looks like I just applied a clear gloss with shimmers. Its not too thick or sticky. This gloss is just the perfect consistency and formula. Plus the packaging is pretty cute and the applicator is similar to NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss with the slightly bent applicator. If you would like to see a review with swatches, definitely let me know!
MAC Lipstick "Angel"
This isn't mine but actually belongs to my sister. She left it at home and I have been using it since. Shh, don't tell her I have it. LOL This lipstick has a frosty finish that I am not much a fan of but I do love the feel of the lipstick. Since it has a frosty finish, I feel like it makes me lips look like they are peeling. I don't own any MAC lipsticks but if I do end up buying one, I'll probably try out one of their creme finishes. I do love the smell of this lipstick and wonder if all MAC lipsticks have this scent.
LypSyl Intense Protection LypMoisturizer
I received this in my Influenster Naturals VoxBox last month and I have really been loving this! I probably only have about half a month to a month left before its all gone. Its so moisturizing and keeps my lips smooth all day. This also leaves a minty tingle on my lips and has a minty scent as well. I plan on repurchasing this once I finish this.
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails "Rose Wine"
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear "Wet Cement"
I have really been loving both of these shades! Wet Cement is a gorgeous fall shade and Rose Wine is a lovely pink. Both of these polishes have amazing formulas and are opaque in two coats.
ELF Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths
I use these everyday and love these. I have a bunch of backups in my bathroom cabinet. I will definitely be repurchasing these once I run out of my stock. These are so great at removing my makeup. I use these to remove all my makeup and then wash my face with a cleanser. These comes with 20 wipes and are so affordable.
PONDs Dry Skin Cream
I use this as a face moisturizer in the morning and at night. This is great for those who have dry skin. I don't really have dry skin but some of my cleansers tighten up my skin after washing my face so I like to use this to get the moisture back in. It doesn't make my face oily throughout the day or night. Its just a great moisturizer.
So those are all my favorite products!! I actually had some more favorite products but I knew that I had to downsize this post. Maybe I should just start doing YouTube videos since it would be more easier since all I would have to do would be talk. Haha. What do you guys think? Should my first YouTube video be a monthly favorites or a haul? If you have any questions about any of the products that I use, definitely let me know!

Big Lots 20% Off Haul
Hey everyone! In case you didn't know, two weeks Big Lots had a coupon where you could get 20% off your entire purchase. I always try to take advantage whenever they have this coupon because its a great time to get products that I have been wanting to try. Plus sometimes you can score better deals at Big Lots than at the drugstores. Also its a great time to get products that might have been recently discontinued. I did go a bit overboard with this sale but keep in mind, I went to two different Big Lots and you will soon see why I went to two.
What I bought:
Crest 3D White Advanced Vivid Toothpaste
This was originally $2.60 but I paid around $2 for it, which is such a great deal for a Crest 3D White toothpaste. I have been wanting to try this toothpaste for the longest but couldn't because of my braces. If you didn't know already, you are not supposed to use any whitening product when you have braces because after you take your braces off, you would get two different shades on your teeth. Since my dentist said that I am almost done with my braces (YAY!), I decided to finally get it!! Hopefully this wll work and whiten my teeth because we all love having white smiles.
Revlon Matte Suede Nail Polishes "933 Emerald City" and "507 Fire Fox"
These actually came in a pack of two for $2, meaning a dollar a polish. Revlon nail polishes are the main reason why I went to Big Lots because they usually carry a bunch of Revlon polishes. I was actually a bit disappointed because both of the Big Lots stores that I went to, they didn't have any Revlon polishes, except for this last one. I never tried any polishes from the Matte Suede lin before but I do love my mattes. Plus I remember seeing swatches of Emerald City once and I remember loving it so I am finally glad to have it in my collection.
London SOHO All Over Shadow Brushes (X2)
I actually have a couple of SOHO brushes that I bought a few months back on clearance at CVS and decided to get more. Since they weren't on clearance anymore at the CVS stores in my area, I decided to wait and am happy to see them at Big Lots. I don't know if they are going to stay at Big Lots or are just making a short appearance. These were $2.50 but with the 20% off, they were $2 a brush.
ELF Mineral Contour Brush
I never tried any of products from the Mineral line from ELF and am happy to finally try out a brush from the line. This was $2.50 but with the coupon, it was $2 plus tax. I haven't tried this brush yet but hopefully it doesn't shed. I bought this mainly for applying color onto my outer crease and/or into the crease of my lids.
Physicians Formula Healthy Wear SPF50 Pressed Bronzer "Tan"
I have been wanting to try out products from the Healthy Wear line ever since I saw a bunch of reviews on this line months ago. I heard that this line was getting discontinued so I was a bit sad to miss out on all the clearance deals but am happy to have found them at Big Lots. If you have been wanting to try out some products from the Healthy Wear line, then you should definitely check out your nearest Big Lots because they just started carrying them. So far, they have the pressed powder, pressed bronzer, and the tinted moisturizer. I don't know if they are going to start carrying more but definitely check out your store. I have tried this already and so far, I am really liking it. But be warned that these products do have expiration dates on them. I bought one at the first store that I went to and found out that it was already expired when I got home and opened it. Luckly I was able to exchange it at a different Big Lots and got one that expires next year. Hopefully I will be able to finish it before it expires. So if you are interested in buying any from this line, check the products for the expiration dates!! All products from this line are priced $4.00 each.
L'Oreal Double Extend Mascara "515 Black Brown"
I have just gotten into using lash primers and didn't want to splurge for a high-end one before trying out the drugstore ones. This mascara comes with a lash primer on one side and a regular mascara on the other end. Since I didn't want to splurge, I was excited to see this mascara for $3.50, which is a great price for a L'Oreal mascara. I haven't tried this yet but hopefully I will end up loving it since I haven't had the best luck with L'Oreal mascaras. I wish that they had different colors like Blackest Black but all they had was Black Brown. This mascara is supposed to give you the appearance of 60% longer lashes so we will see about that.
So that is all that I bought at Big Lots!! I did buy more but they weren't beauty related so I left them out of this post. But if you are curious, I bought some snacks like Nutter Butter. Ooh those cookies are so yummy!! If you love the real taste of Planter's peanuts and love peanut butter, then you should give those cookies a try. They are so yummy, especially when you have them with milk. I am not a big fan of milk. I don't know why but it just tastes weird to me. This is the only way that I would touch milk, that and cereal. Haha! So I hope you all liked my haul and if you have any questions, leave a comment below and I will get back to you!

Review/Swatches: Revlon PhotoReady Sculpting Blush Palette "Pink Rose"
Hey everyone! If you have been following my blog and/or posts, then you would know that I got this Revlon PhotoReady Sculpting Blush Palette "Pink Rose" sometime during the beginning of the year at Ulta during one of their 40% off sales. I remember trying out this palette when I bought it but haven't really touched it since, which you will soon find out why. I thought that it was going to be such a great palette to bring with me on travels and/or touch-ups during the day since it has all the products that you would need for the cheeks in one palette or so I thought...
WHAT:
According to the Revlon website, "3-in-1 makeup artist inspired palette with highlighter, blush and contour blush adds color, sculpts and illuminates. Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to minimize flaws. Oil free and fragrance free."
HOW:
Taken from the Revlon website,
"Sculpt: Apply deeper contour shade below cheekbone to sculpt
Color: Appply blush on apples of cheeks to color
Illuminate: Apply highlighter shade above cheekbone to illuminate and add glow"
PACKAGING:
This palette comes in your typical Revlon PhotoReady black compact. The packaging is pretty much similar, if not, the same as the Revlon PhotoReady Bronzer. Its a flip top compact and has a clear window on the front so you can see the actual product. The compact is a big long because it comes with a mini brush but I never use those because I prefer using my own brushes. I do wish that Revlon didn't include the brush and just made the compact smaller and round since all we really need is the actual product and not the extras. There is also a built-in mirror in the compact but its kind of small and not really what I would like to use if I was applying makeup on the go.
PIGMENTATION:
Now this is where all the problem starts. For the actual compact, they all look like great colors but when they were swatched, it was such a huge let down. I just couldn't believe that Revlon would put this out in drugstores and sell this. All the colors were sheer.I was really sad when I tried out this product. I love Revlon products and Revlon is my favorite drugstore brand. I was sad to say that I was disappointed with this palette and this is the first Revlon product that I can truly say that I didn't like at all. I got this palette mainly because of the blush and the highlighter. Both looked like they would be gorgeous shades but everything was so sheer. All swatches took a bunch of swipes and they still didn't show up. I had swipe the products really hard just to get something to show up. Most of the time, all you would see were the shimmers. As you can see in my swatches, you can see how sheer they all were. All the swatches in my pictures were down with a ton of swipes. If you used a brush to apply any of these on your face, nothing will show up. You would have to apply it a bunch of times just for anything to show. I had to swipe my brush so many times and I have light to fair skin tone so you would know that this definitely isn't pigmented if it wouldn't even show up on my skin.
THOUGHTS:
I hate this product and definitely regret even getting this. I was so disappointed in this because the pigmentation sucks. Usually Revlon blushes and bronzers are silky and soft to the touch but all the products in this palette are hard and stiff to the touch. I would definitely not recommend buying this palette. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't even want it if it was free because it would just be a waste and take up space in my makeup collection. I don't even know what to do with it anymore since I never touch it. I have just given up on it. I am just sad because these are regularly priced at $12.99 plus tax. So all-in-all, I would not recommend this! If you are looking for a palette with a bronzer, blush and highlighter you should look elsewhere, especially if you wanted something that was pigmented.
QUESTIONS:
Have you ever tried this Revlon PhotoReady Sculpting Blush Palette?

These makeup books are only sold at select Walgreen stores so you can always call your nearest store to see if they carry this collection. I definitely reccommend getting these while you can because I can definitely see these books going fast. These are sold for $10 plus tax a book, which isn't that bad of a price, especially since its associated with Disney. Plus if you are a huge fan of Disney, I would suggest that you get your hnds on these before they run out.
Description taken from the ELF website:

New Products: Revlon, Andrea, & Ardell
Hey everyone! A few days ago, I was driving around doing errands and saw that there was a CVS near me. I don't get the weekly advertisments from CVS anymore for some weird reason, so whenever I have time, I always try to stop by a CVS once in a while to check out their sales. While I was walking around the beauty aisles, I noticed a new disply from Revlon. If you didn't know already, Revlon recently came out with a collection for Fall 2012. This new collection is called the Shanghai collection by Gucci Westman. I really like this display because the pictures of Emma Stone are very pretty. Plus I like how the display comes with a booklet that shows you the looks that you can create using the products in this display. This is a very big collection, in my opinion, that includes lipsticks, nail polishes, eye shadow palette, and nail art stencils.
The first thing that I spotted were the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. In this display, there were a total of six but there was only three new shades. There was just doubles of each shade. The three new shades are 028 Cherry Blossom, 029 Red Lacquer, and 030 Pink Pearl. Both Cherry Blossom and Red Lacquer look like gorgeous fall shades but Pink Pearl looks like it would go great with a bunch of different looks. These all have pearl finishes, which I am not much a fan of since frosty/pearly finishes make my lips look like they're peeling. These were regularly priced at $7.99 plus tax but CVS tends to have BOGO 50% off sales.
This display also included Revlon Top Speed nail polishes. I can't remember the exact price for these Top Speed polishes but I think they were priced around $5 to $6 plus tax. There are four shades and there were two of each shade in the display. The new shades are 041 Sterling, 042 24K, 043 Forbidden, and 044 Oreint Express. All these shades look very gorgeous and definitely great for the fall, especially since metallics and dark shades are in.
One of the product that I saw that was very interesting was that Revlon came out with a 6 pan eye shadow palette. What makes it more interesting is that its a cream eye shadow palette called Midnight Express. I have a couple of cream shadows from Revlon and I really like this. I didn't get this palette because I wasn't really sure about the colors and if the formula and consistency was the same as the ones that I bought months ago. There was also an eye look that you can recreate using this palette in the booklets that were on the displays. The palette was priced $10.49, which in my opinion is a bit pricey for a cream shadow palette but I think it was more becasue the collection was designed by Gucci Westman.
The last things that I spotted in th display were some Revlon Nail Art Stencils. These nail art stencils are to help "channel the orient this season by accessorizing nails with a cherry blossom." On the display, it shows you all the different combinations that you can create using both the nail art stencils and the Fast Dry polishes. I actually like all the combinations that they created. Plus I love how the cherry blossoms look on the nails. These nail art stencils were priced for $4.99 plus tax. I thought that these stencils were very cute but I wish that they had other designs as well besides just having the cherry blossom design.
So hopefully this spotted post was very helpful and I hope that you guys have already started spotting this display at your local drugstores. If you have already bought any of these products, please leave a comment below because I would love to know what products you guys bought. Of if you bought any and created looks with them, I would also love to see pictures. Anyways, let me know what you think of the collection and if there were any products that you would be on the lookout for! While at CVS, I also spotted another Revlon display!! I don't know about you but I love seeing new displays because of all the new products. This new display is mainly meant for Halloween because they featured some great Halloween shades. Plus with this display, you can "trick out your tips" using these products. In this display, there were new shades for the Revlon Top Speed line and some new nail art stencils, which Revlon recently started coming out with.
When I first saw this display, I first noticed the nail art stencils. These were priced at $4.99 plus tax. Sweet Sinister comes with six new nail art stencils. Each stencil has a different design. Some of these designs were very cute and definitely in trend now. Some I could actually see being popular, especially among teens. The designs that I saw were spiders, mustaches, cross skulls, stars, hearts, and bows. I thought that the mustaches, hearts and bows were so cute. I would definitely consider getting those but am waiting for a good sale. When I went, Revlon wasn't on sale. I plan on buying these someday since CVS tends to have Revlon on sale often like BOGO 50% off.
The next products in the display were some Revlon Fast Dry polishes. There are four new shades for this collection, which are all great for fall and this upcoming Halloween. The new shades are Wicked Star, Haunted Heart, Spooky Skull, and Black Magic. I really think that these polishes are great combined with the nail art stencils included in this collection. Wicked Star looks like a gorgeous mermaid green. Haunted Heart is a bright orange. Spooky Skull is like a bright florescent white. Black Magic is just your plain black. Each of these polishes retail for $5.99, which is your typical price for Top Speed polishes at CVS.
So that is all the products in the Sweetly Sinister collection. Let me know if you have spotted this collection at your local drugstores yet. Plus if you were interested in any of these products shown and will be keeping an eye out for. I will probably be back for some of the nail art stencils but am going to look online for reviews first to make sure that they are good and not flimsy stencils.
Since there was a Walgreens near by, I decided to go there as well. While I was at Walgreens, I noticed some new displays right by the entrance. One of the first displays that I spotted was one by Andrea. I never tried Andrea lashes before and haven't heard much about them. I have heard more about Ardell lashes but never anything about Andrea lashes. If you have tried Andrea lashes before, definitely let me know if they are any good or not. In this display, there were four different designs. All four are great for the upcoming Halloween. I really like how these lashes had names. In this collection, they had Pixie Dust, Enchantress, Fairy Wings, and Bat Girl. I didn't end up getting any of these because I wasn't sure how the quality was and if the band was flexible. One of the things that I liked about this display was that some of the lashes had looks that included both upper and bottom false lashes. The one that I thought of buying and really liked was the Bat Girl design because of how full and long the lashes are. All the lashes came with an Andrea LashGrip Eyelash Adhesive, which Andrea also sells individually. The lashes that didn't come with false bottom lashes included a lash applicator, which I thought was very nice because eat set came with three pieces.
QUESTIONS:
Have you seen any of these displays at your local drugstores?
Which ones are you looking forward to getting your hands on?

Since Halloween is nearly around the corner, a lot of companies have been coming out with different styles for false lashes. This collection has a bunch of out there styles that are really going to grab attention. I can see these being worn with a bunch of costumes. All the lashes in this collection are on the fuller side. In this collection, there are about six new designs "for wildly gorgeous eyes." They didn't have any names on them or any numbers for each style. I didn't buy any but sort of wish that I did buy one of the styles because I really like how full they are. Plus they came with a glue but usually I don't use the glue that comes with lashes because they aren't that good but I can't really say anything about the Ardell lash glue because I never tried it before. If you have tried any of these lashes before, please leave a comment letting me know how you like them. Also if the glue that comes with these lashes is any good.
