April 2013 Favorites

Hey everyone! Sorry that I didn't post my April favorites earlier  This week has been crazy busy for me. I have been lacking on my posts lately. Usually I post everyday on my blog but lately its been every other day or maybe twice a week. I miss being able to have posts every day on my blog so hopefully I will be able to get back to that routine soon. It was recently my little brother's birthday. He just turned 11 a few days ago and my family have been celebrating his birthday week. Plus it was Cinco De Mayo and then its Mother's Day next week. Hopefully sometime after Mother's Day, I will have more time to post.

FACE:
Walgreens Oil-Free Moisturizing Facial Lotion SPF 15
I bought this a while back and I think Walgreens has then changed the packaging and their brand name. I really like this moisturizer and its a great thing to use in the morning before applying my makeup. I do wish the SPF was a bit higher but its still better to have some SPF than nothing for the summer. This is a light-weight moisturizer, which I really like because it isn't heavy. It does have a slight fragrance to it but its hardly detectable once its applied onto your face.
◊ Almay Clear Complexion Concealer "Light-Medium"
I have already finished this so don't be surprised when you see this in one of my future empties post. I would say my next empties post but I already have one ready to post up and that was done before I finished this. I really like this concealer and you probably remember seeing it in some of my other monthly favorites. I tend to breakout sometimes, mainly a few days before my period so its always nice to have a concealer that doesn't irritate them. Some concealers usually make my face itch so its great to finally have this concealer that works well on my skin. I have already bought back-ups of this.
MAC Blush "Peony Petal"
This is actually my first and only Mac blush that I have ever tried and have in my entire makeup collection! Its just a gorgeous blush and I am so happy that I bought it. Peony Petal is such a pretty bright pink with a blue undertone. It is a satin finish blush, which I didn't even know until I bought it home and was oogling at it like crazy. LOL It is discontinued but you can probably find it at a CCO store since it came out in the Tres Cheek collection at the end of last year.
NYX Illuminator "02 Chaotic"
I have been meaning to do a full review on this but hopefully this will suffice for a couple more days. I love highlighters and blushes so I thought that this item would be great as both. I actually like using this on top of my blushes for that extra illumination effect. I think this would be a great product for the summer.

EYES:
Lorac Mint Edition Palette
Oh my goodness, I love this palette so much! I love all the shadows in this palette but I do sort of wish that it came with a pink blush instead of a orangey-coral blush. I already have a review on this palette (with swatches) so if you would like to check that out, you can CLICK HERE. Keep in mind that the one that I have is an Ulta exclusive and is a limited edition palette. If you are interested in this, I highly suggest you go and buy one before its all gone.

(L-R): Sephora Raspberry, Revlon Sweetheart, Rimmel Celeb, Revlon Cherry Tart, PF  Light Pink
LIPS:
ELF Studio Lip Lock Pencil
I love this product! I actually wish I had bought more when I last ordered online because I haven't spotted this at Target. Don't be surprised if you see like 5 of these in my next ELF haul. Ever since I discovered this product, I have been more confident with wearing lipsticks. I have so many lipsticks in my collection but I rarely touch them because they tend to feather on me, especially since I tend to rub my lips against each other a lot throughout the day. This is such a great product because it keeps the product from moving around on my lips. I just line the outside of my lips with this and then apply my lipstick. If you would like to see a review on this, definitely let me know by commenting below.
Sephora Retractable Lip Liner Waterproof "08 Raspberry"
I bought this a while back and am so happy that I did. I actually wish I didn't give them all away to my friends and family as gifts a while back since I only kept one for myself. I wish I had bought more since they were on sale when I bought them. This is actually my first high end lip liner and I really like it. I like to actually use this all over lips underneath a red lipstick. Ever since I bought the ELF Studio Lip Lock Pencil, I have been wearing red lips a lot lately and these two together are great for keeping the color on my lips.
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain "025 Sweetheart"
I love these and actually wish I had the entire line in my collection. These are so moisturizing on my lips and I actually prefer these over the Tarte Lip Surgences since these leave a stain on my lips. The one that I have is definitely pigmented and only requires one layer and the more layers you add, the more intense the color is. If you like the Tarte Lip Surgences but don't like the minty tingling feel they give your lips then you should give these a try.
Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick "028 Celeb"
This is in the old packaging but its pretty much the same formula and consistency, in my opinion. These do have a slight scent to them but its not a bad scent. I actually like the scent of these. I have a couple of these lipsticks, which I did do a collection post on. If you would like to see my entire Rimmel lipstick collection (with swatches), you can CLICK HERE. Out of all the shades that I own, Celeb is my favorite. I actually have a review on this particular shade, which you can CLICK HERE.
Revlon Lip Butter "070 Cherry Tart"
I love these lip butters! If I could, I wish I could have the entire shade range in my collection too! Man Revlon surely does know how make great lippies! This is the lip butter that I have been wearing the most in April. I love wearing this over
Physicians Formula pH matchmaker pH Powered Lip Gloss "Light Pink"
I have been wearing this lip gloss a lot lately in April and I really like it. It applies clear but later turns into a pink after a couple of seconds. I will be doing a review on this soon. I really like how this lip gloss has a mirror on the side and a button to light up the cap. Both the mirror and built-in light make it great to apply at night or in dim light places.

BEAUTY TOOLS:
Tarte Eyelash Curler
I remember the first time I tried this, I didn't really like it because it doesn't really fit the contours of my eyes that well but once I got used to it, I started liking it. It really keeps my lashes curled a long time, longer than my Revlon lash curler. Plus I love the cute print on the handles!
ELF Studio Kabuki Face Brush
I am so happy that I bought this brush. It is so freaking soft! I love using this to apply my setting/pressed powders. According to the packaging, its a taklon brush that can be used with wet or dry products and creates an air brushed finish. I really do love using this to apply my powders. I actually might buy another as a back-up or maybe use it to blend in my foundation better.

So thats it for my April 2013 favorites! I had so much fun typing up this post and actually even took some of the lippies out and tried them all on throughout this post. LOL If you have any questions about any of these products, definitely comment below and I will try my best to answer them. I wish I could type some more but its raining now and I need to hurry up and close up all the windows. Talk to you guys soon!
