Hey everyone! I hope you guys all had a great Mother's Day and were able to spend it with your mom and loved ones! I recently received a product for review because I am a BzzAgent. I am not getting paid to do this review and all opinions are my honest, true thoughts. If you have any questions about being a BzzAgent, you can comment below and I will try my best to answer them all. I was so excited when I found out that I was being invited to another campaign because it felt like FOREVER since my last beauty campaign. I would have loved it better if it was a makeup product but we can't all be picky. LOL Plus I love reviewing products because it lets me try them out and talk about them with all you (my lovely friends)! Okay, lets move onto the review before I start blabbing like crazy. Haha!
DESCRIPTION:
According to the packaging, Schwarzkopf describes their Got2B POWDER'ful Volumizing Styling Powder as an "innovative, weightless formula that texterizes your hair to create maximum volume at the roots. Apply anytime, anywhere for an instant tranformation!"
DIRECTIONS:
Taken from the packaging, "Shake a small amount into your palm and rub hands together. You will see the powder disappear but you will still feel it on your hands. Distribute into dry hair, focusing on the roots, for an INSTANT root boost and volume. For extra volume boost, shake powder directly into the roots of your hair, using your fingers to work it in and create big, volumized styles."
PACKAGING:
The volumizing styling powder comes in your typical Got2B packaging, like all their other hair styling powders. It comes with in a plastic container with the sifter at the top, underneath the cap. The packaging is a bit bulky so if you are carrying this in your purse to add some volume to your hair later on, it does take up space but it isn't heavy. I would also put this in a plastic ziploc bag (if you plan to carry this in your purse) since the cap might pop off. You wouldn't want powder all over your purse and personal belongings.
THOUGHTS:
I have tried this powder so many times andd the result is always the same for me. I don't know if my hair is just too flat or what because I never get any volume. I have tried both the tips written on the packaging: (1) pouring the product onto my hands, rubbing them together, and distributing it onto my hair and (2) pouring the product directly onto the roots of my hair and working it in with my fingers. None of those techniques work for me. Plus if you have dark hair like my (I have dark brown hair) then where you apply the powder, you would get a white cast (or do they call it grey cast?). I am just not a fan of this. It doesn't give me any volume, leave a white cast on my roots, and makes my hair feel a bit dry. Some people may thing that this is great to bring to apply during the day or night but you would definitely need to wash your hands after using it. It feels like you rubbed baby powder onto your hands. Overall, I would not purchase this but just because it didn't work for me, doesn't mean that it won't work for you. I have seen other people's reviews where they actually like this product so it just depends on your hair.

Oh I have been waiting to hear what your thoughts are on this thing, now I am glad I am not the only one that think it sucks!
ReplyDeleteYeah it sucks that it didn't work for us too. I have tried other Got2B powders and they didn't work for me either so I guess powders just don't work on my hair.
